The bible compares human beings as trees which bears fruits.
Jeremiah 5:14 Therefore this is what the Lord God Almighty says: “Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes.
Then why is it that a man is compared to a tree? Through the parable of tree, God wants to teach us how we can become the children of God. God teaches to be holy just like him. Then how can we know that we are holy or not? It is through the fruits we bear.
Each tree bears a fruits. And the fruits are different from trees to trees. Jesus said that we have to be a good tree and bear good fruits.
Matthew 7:16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.
Through this parable, Jesus teaches that we as God’s people must bear good fruits. Then what are the good fruits? And how can we bear good fruits? Apostle Paul teaches us the two types of fruits people bear. Some are good and some are bad.
First, he teaches us about the fruits of sinful nature that lead us to destruction.
Galatians 5:19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
We know a tree by its fruits. In the same way, we know a man by his acts.
These are the fruits of the sinful nature. Then what are the good fruits that we have to bear to go to heaven.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
These are the fruits of the Holy Spirit that we have to bear to enter heaven. We cannot enter heaven by gratifying our sinful nature. Rather, we have to do what pleases Father and Mother. Let us bear the abundant fruits of the Holy Spirit and be the tree pleasing in the eyes of God.
When a farmer sows seeds, he is not the one who makes the seeds grow into various crops or fruits. Once he plants the seeds and waters them, the seeds start to sprout. And it forms stems and branches. And later they bear fruits on the branches.
In this process, what the farmer does is just planting the seeds and watering them. Once the seeds are planted, it is God who takes up the work and makes the seeds grow. At the time of the harvest, the farmer gathers them and enjoys the fruits.
We do not know how much harvest the farmer will gather from the seeds. Nor can we know or control the process how the seeds grow into fruits and crops. All these things belong to God.
1 Corinthians 3:6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor.
What makes everything possible is God. Through the parable of a farmer sowing seeds, God is teaching about the gospel work. The seeds are the words of God. When we preach the gospel, we do not know what will happen to the seeds.
What kind of soil will fall into? How will be the weather for the seed to grow? How much harvest will the seeds produce later? Through what process will the seeds grow into fruits?
We have no idea about these things. We are given the seeds and commanded to sow them on the field. If we obey God and plant them, God will make the seeds grow into a good harvest.
Mark 4:20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.
God already promised us abundant harvest. Let us have faith in God and sow the seeds by preaching the gospel in season or out of season. Then God will make them grow and we can have good harvest in the end.
When we live on this earth, the bible teaches us that we should lead a life through which we can please God.
1 Thessalonians 2:3 For the appeal we make does not spring from error or impure motives, nor are we trying to trick you. 4 On the contrary, we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.
Praise From God and Praise From Man
First Coming Christ
Those who please God can receive praise from God. And those who please man can receive praise from man. But they cannot receive praise from God. 2ooo years ago, Jesus called the religious leaders of the time as hypocrites because they wanted to look righteous in the eyes of man, not God.
Jesus compared Sadducees and Pharisees to the whitewashed tomb, which looks beautiful outside, but full of hypocrisy and lawlessness inside. They tried to receive praise from man, not from God by basing their teachings and authorities on the traditions of man, not the teachings of God in the bible.
Second Coming Christ
It is the same today. God came down to this earth for the second time and restored all the laws of the new covenant for our salvation. Nevertheless, the religious leaders today such as pastors and bible scholars still follow their own traditions and justify their authorities through the teachings of man.
They do not follow the teachings of God such as Sabbath, Passover, and all the laws and regulations of the new covenant Jesus established 2000 years ago. Rather, they keep the traditions of man such as Sunday Worship, Christmas, Cross worship, which were originated from the teachings of man.
Laws of God and Traditions of Man
God is our Savior and for our salvation God established the laws of God. Therefore, we have to obey the laws of God in the bible. When we follow the laws and teachings of man, we might receive praise from man temporarily. However, we cannot receive praise from God and we cannot have salvation.
Paul warned of the time when people will follow falsehood, deserting the truth. And they will not be able to receive salvation.
2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
It is said that it must have taken at least 40 years for Noah to build the Ark with the technology of his time. He dedicated his whole life and wealth to obey the words of God. He must have been ridiculed as foolish man by his contemporaries. But he did not seek the praise from man, but from God. In that way, God grants the eternal kingdom of heaven as his inheritance.
The Result of Following Falsehood
This prophecy is fulfilled today and we can see many people who only hear what they want to hear and people, so called religious leaders, who tell them what they want to hear. They turn the dead ears to the truth and listen only to what is pleasing to them. What would be their destiny?
2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 10 and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 11 For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie 12 and so that all will be condemned who have not believed the truth but have delighted in wickedness.
They were already decided by God to follow the lie and perish in the end because they have no love for the truth. Today God established Zion and restored all the truth of the new covenant that we may follow and live.
However, people do not listen to the truth since it is not pleasing in their ears. What is worse, there are people who are placating the ears of people with the tunes they wants to hear. When they are awakened from the delusion, they will realize how foolish they have been. But no more chance would be given to them.
Conclusion
We as God’s people must have spiritual eyes and discern what is true and what is false. We must do things to please God even though it might be repugnant in the eyes of man. At the end, God who gives reward to those who obey his words with firm faith will praise them and reward them with the crown of life in the kingdom of heaven.
Today, many people consider Monday as the first day of the week, and Sunday the last day. However, many times the first day of the week in the calendar is Sunday, and the last day Saturday. Because of this disagreement, people often get confused about the first day of the week. Is it Sunday or Monday?
This is important in understanding the bible. According to the bible, the day of rest or the Sabbath is the 7th day of the week? Is the 7th day Saturday or Sunday? Or even another day?

The First Day of the Week in the Roman Calendar
Since the calendar we use today originated from the Roman Calendar, more specifically the Gregorian Calendar, we can get the idea of when the first day of the week from the ancient Roman calendar. The Roman calendar was based on the Babylonian calendar, which divided the week into seven days and assigned each day with their own gods named after the planets around the earth.
The Babylonians considered the Sun and the Moon the most important planets(?) and the first day was Sunday and the second day Monday. This practice was adopted by the Greeks and Romans, and later by Anglo-Saxon, which we use as the names for the days of the week today. The only difference was that each kingdoms changed the names of the week to suit the names of their own gods.
If you look at the table below, you can easily know how the names of the week changed throughout the history.

Monday as the First Day of the Week
Through the history of the change of the names, we can see that the first day of the week was always Sunday, not Monday, and the last and 7th day of the week was Saturday, not Sunday. Then when did the custom of considering Monday as the first day of the week start?
As the time goes by, the world has become more and more smaller due to the technological development in the communication and transportation. Industrialization and globalization made it necessary to standardize the time and dates more strictly to synchronize the work schedule throughout the world.
For this reason, the International Standardization Organization or ISO unified the concept of measuring the time and date. Today according to ISO, the days of the week is stated as “the weekday number, from 1 through 7, beginning with Monday and ending with Sunday”.
The message in this statement is quite clear that the week is made up of 7 days and the first day is Monday and the last day Sunday. This kind of the concept of the week days was first regulated in ISO around 1988 and later it was more updated.
Jewish Calendar
Conclusion
Through this we can understand the convention of the Sunday as the last and 7th day of the week started quite recently. Originally, Sunday was the first day of the week and Saturday the last and 7th day of the week. Therefore, it is quite natural to say that the first day in the bible is Sunday and the last and 7th day Saturday. The biblical Sabbath is Saturday, not Sunday.
What is “love”? People have tried to define love in many ways. These are some of the definition of love given by people.
Love is Security.
Love is Indescribable.
Love is About Give-and-Take.
Love is Respect.
Love is Commitment.
Each person might have his/her definition of love and they try to practice what they believe to be love. Out of their faith in love, people do many great things. Some dedicate their whole wealth to practice the love of their own. And others even sacrifice their own life for the love they desire.
Love of God
What is love? According to the bible, giving up their wealth or even life for the benefit of others is not the love God desires.
1 Corinthians 13:1 I may speak in different languages, whether human or even of angels. But if I don’t have love, I am only a noisy bell or a ringing cymbal. 2 I may have the gift of prophecy, I may understand all secrets and know everything there is to know, and I may have faith so great that I can move mountains. But even with all this, if I don’t have love, I am nothing. 3 I may give away everything I have to help others, and I may even give my body as an offering to be burned. But I gain nothing by doing all this if I don’t have love.
According to the bible definition, none of these can be categorized as the true love God wants us to practice. Love is not in the speaking of tongues, gift of prophecy, wisdom or knowledge, faith, altruism, or in the sacrifice of his own life for others.
Love Of Christ in the New Covenant
Then what is the true love? What is the love that we should practice in the eyes of God? On the night of the Passover, Jesus established the new covenant with the bread and wine which represent his flesh and blood. Apostle John describes the event and he let us know the love Christ wanted us to practice.
John 13:34 “I give you a new command: Love each other. You must love each other just as I loved you. 35 All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.”
Jesus’ message of love was clear: We must love one another just as Christ loved us. If we find the love of Christ for us, then we can know what the love God want us to practice is. Then what was the love Jesus had for us? In the parable of the vine and grapes, we can find the answer for the question.
On the night of the Passover, Jesus gave his teaching as “the New Commandment” to his disciples, saying “Love One Another”. Then what is the way we can practice the love Jesus taught us? What is the Love God wants us to practice to one anothe? Can you give your opinion about what love is.
The True Love of God
John 15:12 This is what I command you: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 The greatest love people can show is to die for their friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I tell you to do. 15 I no longer call you servants, because servants don’t know what their master is doing. But now I call you friends, because I have told you everything that my Father told me. 16 “You did not choose me. I chose you. And I gave you this work: to go and produce fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you anything you ask for in my name. 17 This is my command: Love each other.
After teaching us to love one another, Jesus reveals how to practice the love of God. To practice the love of God we have to do the work Jesus entrusted to us: “To go and produce fruit—fruit that will last”.
Bear Everlasting Fruits by Preaching the Gospel
The love of God for us is to bear everlasting fruit, that is, to lead people to the salvation of eternal life. Even though we sacrifice our life for others and let them live again, their life is still temporary and will end sooner or later. For a person who has conditions in the liver, I could eagerly sacrifice mine that he can live again. However, the life I gave will last only for a short while.
For this reason, the sacrifice cannot be called the true love God wants us to practice. Rather God wants us to deliver the message of the eternal life in order that they can have salvation and live forever. In other words, God wants us to bear the fruit that will last forever by leading people to eternal salvation in the kingdom of heaven living happily with God forever and ever. This is the love Jesus showed us throughout his ministry by preaching the gospel diligently.
Let us bear good and true fruit and give glory to God!!
Probably the question above is the most important one we have to ask when we read a book? What is the main topic? What does the author intend to deliver through this book? These are the most basic questions we ask when we read any books. It is the same with the bible. When God gave us this book, God must have his intention in it and we should know what is the purpose of God in giving this book to us. In this way, we can grasp the true meaning of the bible.
When we don’t think about this point, we can get lost in the words on the pages and wander around the things that are not important for us to know. In this way, some try to understand history, others parables, and still others moral lessons from the bible. But if these are not the intention of the writer, then we are missing the most important thing from this book even though we might get some knowledge through our reading.
Prophet Hosea writes:
Hosea 8:12 I wrote for them the many things of my law, but they regarded them as something foreign.
This means God wrote these words for the benefit of us. Therefore, we have to understand the meaning of the bible for our benefit. Then what is the purpose of the bible? What is the reason God gave us this book? Let us find out the meaning of the bible through the words of God in the bible. Apostles and prophets who received these words from the bible teach clearly to us about the main intention and purpose of the bible. Apostle John writes about the deed and words of Christ in this way.
John 21:25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
This is true. God could have written thousands upon thousands books to teach us about everything: history, secrets, parables, moral lessons, etc. Anyway, God is God of wisdom and knowledge. And we are so much ignorant. How many would there be God wants to let us know!! However, He did not do that. He compiled only small part of His work and deed and gave us this book. This means this book has a specific intention of God which we have to understand. Then what is it? John let us know the intention of God. He writes:
John 20:30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
He clearly says that Jesus did much more than what is recorded in this book. Nevertheless, he recorded only small part of Jesus’ work and that part is specifically related to a topic, that is, “life” or eternal life. Through this we can understand God gave us the bible with this in mind: he wanted to teach us about the Savior and about the eternal life that we may have through the faith in the Savior.
This is the main purpose of the bible. Therefore, what we have to seek is the Savior who gives us eternal life and the way we can receive eternal life. Now let us find out the Savior in this Age of the Holy Spirit and the way we can receive eternal life from them.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
The bible teaches that we have to meet the Spirit and the Bride for the water of eternal life. The ultimate purpose of reading the bible, therefore, must be finding the Spirit and the Bride who give the water of life. Who are the Spirit and the Bride? God gave us this book to give us answer to this question. I hope you would find the answer through the bible.
God bless you, Brothers and Sisters. Do you what FBE is? It means “Fantastic, Beautiful, Elegance,” which Heavenly Mother describes her children with. Even though we are nothing and the least in the world, we are everything to Father and Mother. Now let us live the life of “Fantastic, Beautiful, and Elegance” to please Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. The Lunar New Year will start soon in Korea. And I would like to say my greeting to everyone in the world who are called in the name of Elohists, “God bless you and Happy New Year!!”
Four Worthies or Four Gentlemen
Apricot
In Korea, the gentlemen in the old days loved four plants for its particular characters. The first one is an apricot flower. An apricot opens its blossom in February, which is still in the middle of winter. People thought the apricot flower shows the quality of endurance we should follow. Just like an apricot which gives out its blossoms in the middle of cold winter, we must overcome all the difficulities and hardships and give out the beautiful fragrance in the middle of all the adversities of life.
Orchid
The second one is an orchid, which represents “noble elegance”. The orchid lives and blooms in a deep mountain far away from the world. In the same way, the gentlemen of the past thought a noble man must separate himself from the world and worldly desires. Instead, he must give out beautiful fragrance like an orchid by acting and speaking like an noble man showing the good qualities and nature in him.
Chrysanthemum
And the third plant is a chrysanthemum, which has a similar character like an apricot. A chrysanthemum blossoms in the late autumn when there is a frost in the early morning. When all other flowers withered, a chrysanthemum alone gives out its blossoms and fragrances. And a chrysanthemum flower has so many petals that the center of its flower is seldom revealed even when it is fully blossomed. People interpreted this as one of the important qualities of a noble man. Like a chrysanthemum, a noble man must not reveal his deep thought easily to others. Rather, he should be restrained and reserved.
Bamboo
The last plant is the bamboo. A bamboo is ever-green, which represents the unchanging and lasting character of a noble man. In those days, a noble must serve just one lord in his life time by showing his immutable loyalty to a king just like a bamboo. And also a bamboo grows straight up to the sky without bending or giving out branches to many different directions. This also shows the honorable and righteous qualities of a noble man. A noble man must not yield easily to the force coming from outside. Rather he should have a loyal and faithful mind toward one king that he serves. In the same way, we must be faithful to our Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother.
Conclusion
These four plants were called “the Four Worthies” becasue each of them has a unique noble character. In the same way, I think Heavenly Mother wants us to live like this as noble sons and daughters of God. Mother said we can do everything we want to only if we are changed spiritually to be the children of God. In the greeting for the year, Mother said that we must be changed and transformed. Let us be changed and let us live a life of “Fantastic, Beautiful, Elegance” just as Mother told us. God bless you.
Journey to Heaven–A salmon is anadromous, which means it can adapt to both freshwater and saltwater environment. After spending a couple of years in the freshwater during the time of fry, they make their journey to the ocean to live the rest of their life in the saltwater. This process is called ‘smoltification’. During this period, they go through huge changes in the internal functions of their body. They regulate the amount of urination, intake of sodium, etc. In this way, they can adapt to their new environment as adolescent.
After living about 1~7 years in the ocean, which varies according to species, they finally make their final journey back to home. This is the last and long journey fraught with many dangers. During this journey they have to face many obstacles and difficulties such as predators, rapids, fishers, etc. Even though it is a dangerous journey, they bravely travel sometimes thousands of miles to find their home. Also somehow they have an amazing sense of direction for an unknown reason and find the exact river they came from and follow back to the place where they were originally born.
At the last stage of their life, they make this homeward journey to complete their mission. Now what they have to do is to change their body function back again to adapt to the freshwater. This time their body works reversely to take in more salt. The cells in their gills pump in more salt to match the salinity of their body. When this process is done, they can go all the way back to the original stream they came from. There they spawn to give new life to its young and die.
Our Journey Back To Eternal Home In Heaven
Our Life In This World Of Sea
Journey to Heaven–This journey of salmon tells us a lot about our life in this earth. Even though forgotten, once we lived in heaven. Because of our sins, however, we came to this earth. The moment we left the heaven, everything changed. Our body had to go through many internal changes. We had to take off our glorious robes and had to put on this weak and inferior clothes to live on this earth.
Just like the salmon, which continuously pumps salt out from its body to live in the ocean, we have to work hard to survive on this earth. It is because this is not a favorable place for us to live in. It is because this is not our true home. We did not know why we should go through many hardships and pains on this earth. We just accepted them because we thought life is always like that. Life is always full of pain. Instead of complaining, just accept it and try to adapt to it.
Our Eternal Home
Journey to Heaven–Through the bible, we come to know all the answers for all the ‘whys’ we used to have in our mind. We were once in heaven, the most beautiful place as angels. (Proverb 8:22, Job 381, :21) And the reason why we had to come down to this earth, the sea of sorrow and pain. (Isa 14:12, Eze 28:12) We left our home and living as “aliens and strangers” on this earth. (Heb 11:13, 1Pe 2:11) Also the bible let us know that we have to go back to our home. (Phil 3:20)
We were once drinking the salt water which causes pains in us without knowing the reason. Now the bible teaches us that we do not belong to this earth. And now is the time for us to go back to our eternal home in heaven where there is no pain, no sorrow, no death.
To go back home to the upstream in the river, first a salmon must change its body constitution. Its body has to go through huge changes in its physiological and hormonal functions. Now we are in a spiritual estuary where the homeward bound journey starts. To go upstream, first we have to change our body constitution to match the freshwater.
Just like a salmon going upstream overcoming difficulties, we have to make our journey back to have overcoming any obstacles.
The Journey To Eternal Home In Heaven
Born Again Into A New Life
Journey to Heaven–Just like a salmon in an estuary must adapt to the freshwater by making necessary changes in their body, we have to go through the same process. God’s people who received the words of God must now change themselves so that they can adapt to the words of God. Today, the freshwater which gives us a new life is flowing from the Spirit and the Bride.
Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
The water of life coming from the Heavenly Mother Jerusalem has power to give life to the dying souls.
Ezekiel 47:8 He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. 9 Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.
All the creature living in the sea of pain, sorrow and death can live because of the living water that makes the salt water fresh. To fulfill this prophecy, the Heavenly Jerusalem God the Mother came down to this earth as the bride of Christ and pouring down on us the living water to give us life. Now we should accept the living water coming from God the Mother and change ourselves to adapt to the new environment.
Homeward Bound Journey
Journey to Heaven–The homeward bound journey of a salmon is not easy. During the time they face a lot of dangers and difficulties. And only those who overcome all these things finally can go back home and end their journey. In the same way, the bible teaches us that we will face a lot of hardships and difficulties on this earth to go back home.
Act 14:22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
Paul, who said the verse above, lived up to his word by going through many hardships and difficulties. Many obstacles were laid in front of him to make him stumble and fall. However, he overcame all the difficulties. Nothing could stop his journey to the heavenly home.
2 Corinthians 11:23 I have worked much harder, been in prison more frequently, been flogged more severely, and been exposed to death again and again. 24 Five times I received from the Jews the forty lashes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was pelted with stones, three times I was shipwrecked, I spent a night and a day in the open sea, 26 I have been constantly on the move. I have been in danger from rivers, in danger from bandits, in danger from my fellow Jews, in danger from Gentiles; in danger in the city, in danger in the country, in danger at sea; and in danger from false believers. 27 I have labored and toiled and have often gone without sleep; I have known hunger and thirst and have often gone without food; I have been cold and naked.
Angels Flying in heaven above
Conclusion
Journey to Heaven–When we successfully go through all these process, then we can go to the eternal kingdom of heaven. And just as the bible says we will have eternal glory in heaven. Even though we once lived in this world without knowing any reason and having any proper sense of direction, Father and Mother came down to us and showed us the bright way to heaven.
Just like the salmon, which goes upstream overcoming all the obstacles to go home, let us make every effort in our journey back to the kingdom of heaven. Don’t be troubled or dismayed. Don’t be let down or discouraged. God teaches us to overcome just like he overcame.
John 19:32 “Do you now believe?” Jesus replied. 32 “A time is coming and in fact has come when you will be scattered, each to your own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet I am not alone, for my Father is with me. 33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Hardships And Sufferings
Living or Dead–We are living the life of hardships and difficulties on this earth. Physically, we have to go through many difficult situations. Spiritually, it is the same. Rather the bible teaches us that it is mandatory for us to have sufferings and persecutions in this world. This world is not a favorable place for God’s people because the bible says that this world is under the control of Satan.
Acts 14:21 They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, 22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.
Matthew 10:22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 23 When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. Truly I tell you, you will not finish going through the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
The One Who Overcomes
Living or Dead–At the same time, the bible teaches us that we should endure and overcome those hardships and adversities. When we are in a difficult situation, when we feel that there is anything we can do to make things better, when we feel lonely and left alone, when we feel like giving up, God teaches us that we must be victorious by overcoming the hardships just like Our Father and Our Mother and Our brothers and sisters who are going through the same hardships all throughout the world.
1 Peter 5:8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Glorious Day Of Transfiguration
Just Like A Fish Going Upstream
Living or Dead–It is easy to go and follow the stream downward. And even a dead fish can move downward floating on a stream. However, it is only live ones which can swim upward, fighting against the stream. No dead fish can swim upward against the stream.
In the same way, it is easy for us to follow the customs of the world by compromising what we believe and what is good in the eyes of God. But what kind of life would this be in the end? Even though they seem to be alive, actually they would be considered dead by God.
Rather, God teaches that people of God are the living, not dead.
Matthew 22:32 ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.”
God teaches that we should be “the living”. Just like the live fish going upstream fighting against the stream, we must make our way toward the kingdom of heaven, making effort to overcome the world as the living one. Then God would be pleased, and would give us imperishable reward in the kingdom of heaven.
Brothers and Sisters, let us be victorious and overcome the world. And let us follow Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem in the way of suffering hardships to the end for the glorious victory in the kingdom of heaven.
Romans 8:18 I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.
