These are the summary of video sermons of WMSCOG or World Mission Society Church of God by Joocheol Kim. I pray this might help people to find the truth of God Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem who appeared as the Spirit and the Bride in our time. God Bless You.
Through the parable of the fig tree, God teaches us about the time when he comes for the second time. When the fig tree gives out the new twigs and leaves, he said that he would come. What is the fig tree? If the fig tree means the actual tree that we can find around us, it revives again every year. Therefore, if he comes according to the fig tree, he must appear not just a second time. Since it has passed about 2000 years since the Christ’s first coming, he must have appeared 2000 times. But the bible prophesies only his second coming and no more than that.
Therefore, just like other stories in the bible, this lesson of the fig tree is also parabolical. And we have to know the figurative meaning of the lesson. What is the fig tree? When would it bloom again? When we get the answers for these questions, we can truly understand the meaning of the parable of the fig tree. This parable has a very important message of God. And we should know the lesson of the fig tree.
Matthew 24:32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it (or he) is near, right at the door.
Let us learn this lesson of the fig tree which Christ gave to teach us the time frame of his coming for the second time.
When we look at the politicians, their policies and thoughts change all the time. In part, it is caused by the changes in environment. Since our environment changes all the time, our thought and plans change too. Today’s environment is different from the yesterday’s and tomorrow’s.
The environment for our faith is the same. Our faith of today is different from that of a year ago due to the changes in the environment. Even though we might think we are keeping the faith just like ten years ago, we might be drifting away from God by the tide of the world. That is why we have to examine our faith always by studying and obeying the words of God.
Since we believe in God, it is natural for us to keep the laws of God, the commands God gave us. As a member in a family, we listen to what the parents say and try to keep them. And also as member of a nation, we try to abide by the law of the nation.
It is because we trust in the parents and the nation that we show our trust by obeying the laws and commands ordained by the parents and nation. We know that we can be benefited when we obey them. Then how much more should we keep the laws and commands God gave us for our benefit and salvation?
James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?
The bible says that the Zion is the city of our festivals. Since we believe in God, we must keep the festivals of God in Zion. The faith must accompany with the action and without the action the faith is dead. Let us obey the commands and laws of God by keeping them according to the regulations God gave us.
The bible is the book of prophecies leading us to heaven. And we should have firm faith in the words of God. Then as the parable says, we can build our house on the rock, which is the Christ. The Christ is the mystery of God. And we can know the answer for the mystery through the prophecies of the bible.
The bible prophesies that the Christ would come again for the second time for our salvation. Then how can we know the Second Coming Christ, the mystery of God in the bible? Through the prophecy of the throne of the David we can know who the Second Coming Christ is. Let us study the bible diligently to know and receive the Second Coming Christ who was to come as Prophetical King David.
Apostle John received the visions in Revelation on Lord’s Day. Then when is the Lord’s Day or the Day of the Lord? Is it Sunday or Saturday?
Today most Christians think that the day of worship is Sunday and they go to church on Sunday. However, is the Day of the Lord or the Day of God Sunday?
Let us think of the origin of the worship day. In Genesis Chapter 1, we can see the creation work of God from the first day to the sixth day. And on the seventh day God finished his work of creation and took a rest.
Genesis 2:1 By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his work. 3 Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done.
Later in the Law of Moses, this seventh day was designated as the day of rest to commemorate the creation work of God.
Exodus 20:8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
This is the Sabbath Day or the day of rest recorded in the bible. God command that we have to keep the Sabbath day holy to commemorate the creation work of God. In this sense, the Sabbath day was given as the commemoration day for the creation work of God the Creator. By keeping the Sabbath Day holy, we can worship the true Creator God who created heavens and earth. For this reason, the true owner or the Lord of the Sabbath Day is God the Creator.
For this reason, in the Old Testament God the Father Jehovah says that He is the Lord of the Sabbath by calling the Sabbath Day as His because He was God the Creator.
Exodus 31:13 “Say to the Israelites, ‘You must observe my Sabbaths. This will be a sign between me and you for the generations to come, so you may know that I am the Lord, who makes you holy.
Ezekiel 20:11 I gave them my decrees and made known to them my laws, by which the person who obeys them will live. 12 Also I gave them my Sabbaths as a sign between us, so they would know that I the Lord made them holy.
In the Old Testament, God the Father Jehovah says that the Sabbath is the Day of God or the Lord. And he calls the day as “My Sabbath”, and the Sabbath Day was Lord’s Day. Then how about in the time of the New Testament?
Jesus also states that the Sabbath Day is his day just like Jehovah did in the past because Jesus is God the Creator who appeared as man in the flesh. (John 1:14)
Matthew 12:8 For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.
Luke 6:5 Then Jesus said to them, “The Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.
Since Jesus is Lord of the Sabbath, the Day of the Lord is the Sabbath Day, not Sunday. Nowhere in the bible can we find even a verse which testifies that Lord’s Day is the Sunday. Lord’s Day was, is, and will always be the Sabbath day, that is, Saturday. Therefore, the day of worship is the Saturday, which is the true Sabbath Day.
Even Catholic Church which started the Sunday worship first clearly states that the Sunday worship is not biblical at all.
“A rule of faith, or a competent guide to heaven, must be able to instruct in all the truths necessary for salvation. Now the Scriptures alone do not contain all the truths which a Christian is bound to believe, nor do they explicitly enjoin all the duties which he is obliged to practice. Not to mention other examples, is not every Christian obliged to sanctify Sunday, and to abstain on that day from unnecessary servile work? Is not the Observance of this law among the most prominent of our sacred duties? But you may read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation, and you will not find a single line authorizing the sanctification of Sunday. The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we never sanctify….. We must, therefore, conclude that the Scriptures alone cannot be a sufficient guide and rule of faith, because they cannot, at any time, be within the reach of every inquirer; because they are not of themselves clear and intelligible even in matters of the highest importance. And because they do not contain all the truths necessary for salvation.” —Cardinal Gibbons, Faith of Our Fathers, p. 111.
The Catholic Church is actually denying the authority of the words of God by saying, “the Scripture alone cannot be a sufficient guide and rule of our faith.” And this teaching definitely contradicts with the teachings of Jesus and apostles.
Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this scroll. 19 And if anyone takes words away from this scroll of prophecy, God will take away from that person any share in the tree of life and in the Holy City, which are described in this scroll.
And Paul says:
Galatians 1:6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
Christ teaches us that we should not change the words of God in the bible. We will be under curse if we do. And Paul says that there is no other gospel except for the one recorded in the bible.
What the Catholic Church is doing is disobeying the teachings of Jesus who clearly stated that Lord’s Day is the Sabbath, that is, Saturday. It is adding a different gospel of Sunday worship, and at the same time taking away a true gospel of the Sabbath worship. Then what would be the results of this practice? And if we follow the teachings of the Catholic Church, how much will we be cursed for the action? We have not to be deceived by the cunning words of the Catholic teaching.
Indulgence produced by the Catholic Church. Can a Pope or any priest have the authority for the forgiveness of sins by paying off the sins on a piece of paper.
They are attempting to undermine the authority of God and the bible in order to raise their own authority for the matter of faith. However, nothing can replace the authority of God and the bible because God is the only one who can give the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. And God teaches us to keep the Passover for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life (Matthew 26:26, John 6:53), not a piece of paper called “indulgence” written by the Catholic Church.
What we have to obey to the end is the teachings of Christ and the examples shown by the apostles as it is written in the bible.
Matthew 28:18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Jesus taught us that we have to obey “everything he had commanded to us” and we should not add any more other teachings on this. When we do, we are committing the sins of adding and taking away.
Recently I heard a very enlightening sermon from the General Pastor of the Church of God. In the sermon he was illustrating how important it is for us to be changed rather than wait for the situation and circumstances to change.
In math any number multiplied with zero becomes zero. 1 multiplied with 0 is 0. The same is true to all other numbers such as 10, 100, 1000, etc. The cause that leads to this result is the number zero. This can be applied to us spiritually. When we work, we cannot achieve any good result even though the situations and circumstances are good around us when we are like zero.
Even though we have many good things around us such as good family, good friends, good education, etc., if we are like zero and do nothing, we cannot produce any good results. On the contrary, even though the circumstances surrounding us are just 1, if we are like 10, or 100, we can produce good results.
Waterlily lives in the middle of mud, but it blooms the most beautiful flower. We also should overcome the unfavorable circumstances and situations.
This sermon gave a precious lesson to me. When we want to complain about our circumstances, we have to think about this lesson. Even though the situations around me is not that good, if I work hard and if I am changed becoming 10, 100, or even 1000 or more, then I can produce many good results. Therefore, we have to make effort to change ourselves first. Then we can bear many good fruits even in unfavorable situations.
Thanks to Father and Mother for the precious lesson.
Just as Moses said in the Book of Psalm, our life on this earth is but trouble and sorrow and it quickly pass, and we fly away to death in the end. (Psalm 90:9) Then why are we living the life of hardships and troubles on this earth?
The Parable of Garden of Eden
God teaches us the reason through the parable of the Garden of Eden. In the Garden of Eden lived Adam and Eve. Their life was prosperous, and everything was provided to them, even eternal life by eating from the tree of life. However, one day, eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they were driven out of the Garden of Eden. Since they disobeyed the words of God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they were cast out from the paradise to the cursed land which produced thorns and thistles instead of the tree of life.
This story of the Garden of Eden is a parable given to us to teach us about our origin and our life on this earth. We were once in the Garden of Eden (the Heavenly Kingdom) with God and other angels, but due to our disobedience we were sent down to this earth, the land of sufferings. We broke the heavenly law, and practiced lawlessness or committed sins. And because of the lawlessness and sins, we were separated from God. Because we were sent away from God and His blessings, we are in the agony of death on this earth.
Separation From God Due to our Sins
Isaiah 59:1 Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.
Then how can we restore to the Garden of Eden our Home and live in joy and happiness with God again? Is there any way we can go back to the paradise again? The bible teaches we can go back to the Garden of Eden and eat from the tree of life again. To return to God, the very first thing that we need is to receive the forgiveness for our sins we committed in heaven. Since we were sent out due to our sins, it is natural that we should receive the forgiveness of our sins to go back to God and heaven.
The Forgiveness of Sins Through the Passover
Then how can we receive the forgiveness of sins to return to God? 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ taught us the way to receive the forgiveness of sins and return to God. On the night of the Passover, Jesus took bread and wine, which represents his flesh and blood, and gave to the disciples, teaching them that they could receive the forgiveness of sins through the Passover.
Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
Returning To God through the Passover
By giving us the new covenant, Jesus opened the way to the Garden of Eden again that we may return to God. When we keep the new covenant Passover, we can return to God and be with God, receiving all the blessings we received from God in heaven again.
John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.
Hezekiah’s Passover
Once we got separated from God because of our sins, but now we can be with God by keeping the Passover. Therefore, we can be sure that we can go back to God by keeping the Passover. We can confirm this this the bible. In the time of King Hezekiah, the king realized the importance of the Passover and sent his message all over the land, inviting them to keep the Passover. And this was his message to the people.
2 Chronicles 30:6 At the king’s command, couriers went throughout Israel and Judah with letters from the king and from his officials, which read: “People of Israel, return to the Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel, that he may return to you who are left, who have escaped from the hand of the kings of Assyria. 7 Do not be like your parents and your fellow Israelites, who were unfaithful to the Lord, the God of their ancestors, so that he made them an object of horror, as you see. 8 Do not be stiff-necked, as your ancestors were; submit to the Lord. Come to his sanctuary, which he has consecrated forever. Serve the Lord your God, so that his fierce anger will turn away from you. 9 If you return to the Lord, then your fellow Israelites and your children will be shown compassion by their captors and will return to this land, for the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn his face from you if you return to him.”
Again and again he earnestly entreated the people of Israel to return to God by keeping the Passover. This message clearly teaches us that the Passover is the way to return to God and receive His blessing.
The Results of Obedience and Disobedience
Then what will happen if we do not keep the Passover and return to God? In the story above, despite the message from the king, many people did not listen to him. In those days, the nation of Israel was divided in two kingdoms: southern Judah and northern Israel. The people of Judah obeyed to the message of the king and kept the Passover, but the people of Israel not. Later the two nations had to face completely different consequences due to their action.
The kingdom of Israel got destroyed by the Assyrian army, but the kingdom of Judah was saved out from the war against Assyria. And God teaches the reason for those results.
2 Kings 18:12 This happened because they had not obeyed the Lord their God, but had violated his covenant—all that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded. They neither listened to the commands nor carried them out.
God teaches that the nation of Israel was conquered by the army because they did not obey the command of God and keep the Passover. On the contrary, the land of Judah was protected from the disasters because they obeyed the command of God.
Conclusion
This lesson was given to us as examples. We are living on this earth, going through many sufferings and in the end to death. It is all because of our sins we committed against God in heaven by disobeying his commands. Now God came down to this earth and opened the way to the heaven again by giving the forgiveness of our sins through His own flesh and blood.
We should not be like the people of Israel who ridiculed and scorned the message of God to their own destruction. Rather, we should obey the words of God and keep the Passover like the people of Judah.
Christ Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother came down to this earth and opened the way to return to God by restoring the new covenant Passover which Jesus established 2000 years ago. And they are inviting us to return to them and to receive the water of life by keeping the Passover. Now we should not practice lawlessness again and disobey the words of God. We must return to the Spirit and the bride with a mind of humility and keep the Passover. And then they will forgive our sins and take us back to the eternal Garden of Eden.
In the previous article, we have seen the relation between John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. John the Baptist came as Elijah to prepare the way for the Lord and he testified Jesus as Lord God who would come for the forgiveness of sins and salvation.
However, even though the prophecies of Elijah were partially accomplished by the coming of John the Baptist, the complete fulfillment of the prophecies did not happen at that time. If we look at the prophecies closely, the true fulfillment of the prophecies was reserved for the last day.
The Time of Appearance of Elijah
In the Book of Malachi, we can see the prophecies of Elijah’s coming to prepare the way for the Lord and to turn the hearts of people to God. But it also testifies about the time frame when the prophecies are to be fulfilled.
Malachi 4:1 “Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire,” says the Lord Almighty.
Malachi 4:3 “See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes. 6 He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.
According to the prophecies above, the period is just before the total destruction with fire on the great and dreadful day of the Lord. Before everything is to be destroyed with fire, God is going to send Prophet Elijah to turn the hearts of people to God so that they could return to God for salvation. This shows that Elijah would come just before the total destruction with fire, that is, just before the Day of Judgment to save the children of God.
Elijah with a garment of hair and with a leather belt around his waist
Who is Elijah?
Also, through the name Elijah, we can see that John the Baptist did not fulfill the prophecies completely. The name Elijah is a combination of “Eli” and “Jah”, which respectively means “God” and “Jehovah”. This means the true fulfillment of the prophecies must be accomplished by God Jehovah himself. He must appear as Prophet Elijah just before the Day of Judgment and He will fulfill the missions of Elijah: preparing the way for the Lord and turning the hearts of people to God.
This explanation is a little bit strange. God is coming to prepare the way of God? Does it mean there are two Gods, the one who comes before to prepare the way and the other who comes after as Lord to give salvation? This seems to be odd in the perspective of most Christians who believe there are only one God in heaven, God the Father.
Two Images of God: Male and Female
This is a very serious question we have to ask to understand the meaning of the prophecies. Is there only one God or more than one? Actually the bible says there are two images of God: God the Father and God the Mother. In the original Hebrew version of the Old Testament God is referred to as Elohim for 2500 times in the bible. “Elohim” is the plural form of God in Hebrew, which means “Gods”, rather than God. In short, God is Gods, Father and Mother, not just one God the Father.
Briefly we can see this through God’s creation of man in Genesis. According to Genesis, when God created man, God used himself as model for man. Even though God is invisible and we cannot know the image of God, since man was given the image of God, we can understand the image of God through man who was created after the image of God.
Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, …. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
There is something strange in the verse above. Rather than using a singular form such as “me” or “my”, God is referring to himself through the plural form, “us” and “our”. But then why? We can find the answer through man who God created with his own image. Man has two images, male and female, or Adam and Eve. Through the creation of man, we can conclude that God has two images too, male and female, that is, God the Father and God the Mother.
Elijah fed by the ravens
God the Father and God the Mother
Now we can understand the mystery of Elijah (who is God) coming as messenger to prepare the way for God. The prophecy is about God the Father (Elijah or God Jehovah) who is coming to prepare the way of God the Mother in the last day to save God’s people.
Actually, this was already foreshadowed in the creation of Adam and Eve. As we know Adam represents God the Father (Rom 5:14). Then who does Eve the wife of Adam represent? God the Mother. The creation of Adam and Eve on the sixth day has some hidden prophetical meaning in it. In the prophetical term, one day is equivalent to one thousand years. (2Pe 3:8) Therefore, the six-day creation actually represents the six-thousand years of God’s salvation work.
According to the plan of God, on the last day, that is, the sixth day, Adam and Eve would appear to lead the animals. The prophetical meaning of this is that at the end of the six thousand year’s salvation work the prophetical Adam and Eve would appear to lead the Gentiles to salvation who are represented as animals. (1Co 15:45)
Elijah Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother
All these prophecies got fulfilled by Christ Ahnsahnghong. Christ Ahnsahnghong came as Elijah and testified about the one who was to come after him, God the Mother. Just as Adam who represents Christ or God the Father testified about Eve (God the Mother) by calling her “the mother of all the living”, (Gen 3:20) Father Ahnsahnghong revealed Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem through the heavenly wedding banquet as the one who gives eternal life.
Wedding Banquet and God the Mother: Elijah Ahnsahnghong revealed God the Mother through the heavenly wedding banquet.
This all happened to fulfill the prophecies of the revelation. It says:
Revealtion 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
This prophecy says that the water of life or “eternal life” would be given by the Spirit (God the Father) and the Bride (God the Mother). By the fulfillment of all the prophecies of the Bible we can say Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Elijah who was to come and God the Mother is the Lord we have to receive for salvation.
In the changing states of water, we can see
three different forms: Liquid (Water), Solid (Ice), and Gas (Vapor). Even
though they exist in the three different forms according to the temperature,
actually they are the same in substance, that is, H2O.
It is the same with the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit have worked in three different forms in three different ages. In fact, however, they are the same and one God. Therefore, we can define the basic concept of the trinity like this:
God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are not different, but one and the same God. A theological term for this is the “Trinity.”
From the video sermon, “The Trinity”
The changing states of water: Water, Ice, and Vapor
God the Father and God the Son
Let us first think about God the Father
Jehovah and God the Son Jesus. According to the prophecies of the bible, Jesus
was God the Father Jehovah who appeared as man in the flesh. In the Book of
Isaiah, God prophesied His appearance as man in the flesh (Isaiah 9:6). And the
prophecy was fulfilled by Jesus by coming as son. (Luke 1:31)
Therefore, the disciples of Jesus Christ
boldly proclaimed that Jesus was God the Father Jehovah himself. They argued
that Jesus was God himself even though he appeared in the form of man.
(Philippians 2:5, Romans 9:5) Paul said, “Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them
is traced the human ancestry of Christ,
who is God over all, forever praised! Amen”.
We can confirm this through the creation
work. According to the book of Isaiah, God the Creator is God the Father
Jehovah. He was the one who created all things. (Isaiah 44:24) However, Paul
testifies that it is Jesus God the Son who created all things. (Colossians
1:15) Through this we can understand that God the Father Jehovah and God the
Son Jesus are actually one and same just as water and ice are one and same.
God the Father and God the Holy Spirit
Who knows all the secrets and deep things
of man hidden deep down in the heart? It is only the man himself. No one else
knows the hidden secrets of the man just like the saying, “We can search the
water as deep as 10 meters, but we cannot fathom the heart of man even though
it is only 10 inch deep”. The one who can search the deep things of a man is
the man himself and his spirit. In the same way, the bible says the Spirit of
God search even the deep things of God.
1 Corinthians 2:10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit (or the Holy Spirit) searches all things, even the deep things of God. 11 For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God (or the Holy Spirit).
Therefore, we can say that God the Father
and God the Holy Spirit are the same as the water and vapor are the same.
God the Son and God the Holy Spirit
Parakletos or Counselor (Advocate)
Finally, let us think about God the Son and
God the Holy Spirit. To understand this, first let us study about a Greek word,
“parakletos or παράκλητος”. “Parakletos” is usually translated as “Counselor” or “Advocate” in
the bible.
Dictionary defines “parakletos” like this:
summoned, called to one’s side, esp. called to one’s aid; one who pleads another’s cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate
one who pleads another’s cause with one, an intercessor; of Christ in his exaltation at God’s right hand, pleading with God the Father for the pardon of our sins
In this sense, a parakletos is the one who
was called or summoned to plead and intercede for us. And through the
intercession of the parakletos, our sins can be pardoned by God.
Trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are the One and Same God
Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ as Parakletos
And the bible says we have two entities who
can work as parakletos for our sins, that is, God the Son Jesus and God the
Holy Spirit. (1 John 2:1, John 14:26) In the epistle, John testifies that God the
Son Jesus is the Advocate or Parakletos who plead for us in our stead to God so
that we can be forgiven of our sins. However, in the Gospel of John, Jesus
prophesies that the Holy Spirit would come as Counselor or “Parakletos”.
Then do we have two different Counselors or Parakletos? No, it cannot be. According to the bible, the only Counselor who intercedes for our sins is Jesus Christ himself. (Romans 8:34)
Hebrews 7:23 Now there have been many of those priests, since death prevented them from continuing in office; 24 but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.
Through this we can understand the Holy Spirit who would appear to us as Parakletos is God the Son Jesus who would come again for the second time as Parakletos. Therefore, we can say that God the Son Jesus and God the Holy Spirit are one and same according to the prophecies of the bible as in vapor and ice in the changing states of water.
Conclusion
Through all these things we can clearly see
the true meaning of the Trinity. Water can exist in three different states
according to the temperature without any change in its essential substance.
Likewise, God works in different forms, names, and places to complete the 6000
years of the salvation work. Once he worked as Father Jehovah sending his
prophets to his people. 2000 years ago, God himself came as prophet, king, and
high priest for the salvation of his people in the name of Jesus.
Now in our time, to fulfill the prophecies
of the bible, God himself came again in the name of Christ Ahnsahnghong to
complete the 6000 years of the salvation work. Even though he appeared as man
in the flesh from the east in the land of Korea, we have to understand that he
is none other than God himself who is testified in the bible.
