Truth of the new covenant

  • Something Good In Us

    Something Good In Us

Many people in this world deplore about things happening around us and truly many dishonorable and disreputable things are happening around us to convince people that what they are saying is true. Everything is decentralized and there seems to be nothing we can trust in or depend on. The standard for everything is brought down to the effect that there seems to be no clear distinction between good or bad, true or false. In this situation, many people shout out the hails for the change and eagerly accept the present conditions the most desirable thing we can expect out of the human institutions; and they say that to think about the truth or center is delusional and imaginary.

    world-trade-center-attack
World Trade Center Attack: We are living in the time of deconstruction.

There are many, however, who are worried about the present situation and feel sorry for the ways things are done. They believe that there are truth out there in the world and there are things which is valuable that we must defend to keep.

    Something Worth Fighting For

In the story of “The Lord of the Rings,” Samwise Gamgee beautifully expresses the value we must seek for, the things worthwhile to be defended. At the desperate moment of the failure of the mission of destroying the ring, he encourages Frodo to move on and carry out the mission, sacrificing himself because there are things worthy to keep:

Sam: It’s like in the great stories Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn’t want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end it’s only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it’ll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why. But I think Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there’s some good in the world, Mr. Frodo, and it’s worth fighting for.

    samwise-gamgee
What is it that is worth fighting for?

When we look around the world and think about what the end would be like, we cannot imagine a good and happy end out of the stories we are writing in our present time. Everything says that the end would be terrible and destructive: the change in climate, the atomic bombs, ISIS, Terrorists, the collapse of moral values, the natural disasters, etc. All these things are shouting out the end of the world as in Ezekiel:

Ezekiel 7:5   “This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

    “‘Disaster! Unheard-of disaster!
    See, it comes!
    6 The end has come!
    The end has come!
It has roused itself against you.
    See, it comes!
7 Doom has come upon you,
upon you who dwell in the land.
The time has come! The day is near!
There is panic, not joy, on the mountains.

The mountains, rivers, oceans, trees, flowers, birds, animals, fish, and all the things on this earth are currently shouting out “Death, Destruction, Doom.” There seems to be nothing worthwhile to keep or defend. Which is the way we should follow? What is a good thing to do? Is there anything we can do to make this world better? In terms of Samwise, is there anything worth fighting for? Is there anything good and true left for us?

The Evidence that We Still Have Chance

    peach-blossom-spring
Peach Blossom Spring: Chinese Utopia, the Land of Paradise

Even though it seems to be dire and gloomy enough to quit and let ourselves fall freely down to the bottom, still we have another chance. There is still a reason we have to fight. There is still a reason we have to make efforts not to fall. It is because still we have something good in us. Here what I intend to do is not to pinpoint a certain thing as good, but to prove that still we have good in us and for the good in us we must make efforts.

Then in what respect can we say we have good in us? The answer is simple: the fact that we feel that there is something wrong shows that we still have a certain standard for something good. If we have no hope at all, we would not be able to think of something good, but there would be only despair, or dull indifference or carelessness. Nothing would be able to stir us into wakefulness from this stupor if there is not any good we have to fight for. Our heart would be empty and hollow like a deserted house crumbling down and it would not be disturbed or shaken by anything.

But when we see miserable and deplorable things happening around us, we feel sad and exasperated, muttering to oneself, “this is not right.” The fact that we know something is wrong shows that we still have vague but undeniable standard for good or bad. We must hold on to this in us and spell out what it is in us which allows us to be angry and frustrated because this is the point from which we can make our journey in finding the truth. About this good which is imprinted in us, the Bible says:

Ecclesiastes 3:11   He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. 12 I know that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live.

The bible defines that the thing in us which makes us what is good or bad is “eternity.” Even though it is so short and simple a word, it contains everything we must know about ourselves. Eternity means something that never changes and something that we must seek for, that is, the truth. The sense of truth is already given in us by God and therefore we can tell good from bad and truth from falsehood, enabling us to make a moral judgment for the things we experience.

People from different ages and different time have different words or expressions, but they have always been aware of the truth which moved their heart to do something that they thought was right. With this eternity or truth in their heart, they could imagine a world where only truth prevails like paradise. Some called it “Utopia,” and others imagined it to be “the Garden of Eden.” It was called with many different names in many different places, but it was the place everybody was yearning for. But that yearning and longing for the land of eternity which does not seem to exist, hence the name Utopia or the land of “Nowhere,” reveals that we have something inside which works in us as standard through which we can tell truth from falsehood.

    utopia
What is the Land of Eternity that we must seek?

The Eternal World, the Kingdom of Heaven

The land of “Nowhere” is a land of our imagination and the land we must go to. God gave us the sense of eternity or truth in heart to teach us that we should eagerly seek after the land. Everything seems to be so gloomy and whispers to us, “You must be different. You must find out the land of nowhere.” God who set the eternity in us gave us the bible so that we can know the direction to get there.

When it seems that we are at a loss in a dead-end, God teaches us that we still have hope. Just like Scarlett O’Hara said in the novel, “Gone with the Wind,”

“After all, tomorrow is another day!”
― Margaret Mitchell, Gone with the Wind

Another day is given to us that we may seek God and the Land of Truth. And as long as another day is given to us, we are spared from the Day of Judgment and we are given another chance to know the truth. To teach us the truth and to take us to the land of Eternity God came as man in the flesh. Now seek Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem who gave us the yearning for the eternity so that we might find them to receive the eternity.

  • Who Are The False Prophets?

    Who Are The False Prophets?

The role of a leader is very important because his decision affects all the people in the group, not only himself. Through a good decision a leader makes, everyone in the group can receive a benefit, vice versa. It is the same spiritually. God has set up leaders among his people so that they would lead people into the way of God. Those chosen by God to lead people are called “prophets” of God. If a prophet leads people in the right way, they would have peace and safety and ultimately receive salvation. However, if a prophet leads in the wrong way, people can face danger and destruction.

The Destiny of People Led by False Prophets

Many might think why God is rebuking me because I have done everything according to what my pastor said to me. Even though I might have done something wrong, it was not my fault but the of the leader who has led me in the wrong way. So it would be unfair if I am not given another chance to mend what I have done wrong.

However this may sound logical, this is not the will of God. God already commanded us that we should be wary of the false prophets and we MUST cultivate abilities to distinguish what is true from what is false.

Isaiah 9:16   Those who guide this people mislead them,
and those who are guided are led astray.

Those who mislead and those who are led astray both of them would face the same fate in the end. If one falls, the other will fall too, and if the one is snared, the other will be too. There would be no difference for the result.

Matthew 15:14    Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.

What would happen if a blind man leads other blind men?

There would be no room for any excuse for neither of them. If we look at the history of the physical Israelites which was given as lessons to us, we can see many instances when many who followed false teachings got punished because of their lack of discernment. The same story is recorded even from the beginning to give us a warning. In the Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve had lived happily until they came to know the snake or Satan.

They obeyed the good teachings of God, following his commands and receiving the blessing of eternal life from God. Without knowing who the snake was, however, they started to listen to the voice of snake who gave false teachings which were contrary to the true teachings of God. Because of this lack of discernment, ultimately they were punished and driven out from the paradise and destined to go through many pains and sufferings as punishments. Adam and Eve tried to make excuses, but the judgment of God was immutable and they were punished by God.

Genesis 3:12   The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” 13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”

How to Have Eyes to Discern False Prophets

According to the bible it is impossible to distinguish the false prophets from the true one because they look the same in the outward appearance.

Matthew 7:15    Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

Jesus compared false prophets to a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Even though a wolf is inside, with the outward appearance it looks like a sheep. In the same way, from the outward appearance a false prophet looks exactly like a true prophet and we cannot distinguish them from each other by looking at their appearance. Like true prophets, they also preach the words of God with big and beautiful smiles in neat and nice clothes, addressing to people in a kind and hospitable manner. He simply is a NICE guy.

If this is the case, how can we discern the false prophets? Why is God rebuking us for not having an ability to distinguish for indistinguishable two things? Are supposed to have spiritual laser-like eyes to scan the inside of man? Is God unfair? No way. God already gave us ways how to recognize one. Then how can we know a false prophet when we meet?

Matthew 7:16  16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

What is the fruits which tells us the truth about the false prophets who looks like a true one? It is the actions they show.

Matthew 7:21    “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

As a prophet of Jesus they have done great thing with their great faith in Jesus. They prophesied, drove out demons, and performed miracles; however, Jesus is not happy with them even though they had great faith in him to do many great things. What is it that made Jesus dissatisfied with them? It is because they have done “evil things.” What does it mean? Did they do something evil in secret? Did they kill somebody while no one is watching? Did they steal? Did they have immoral sexual relations?

What kind of things are considered “evil” in this context? To correctly understand the meaning of “evil-doers,” let us look up the meaning in another version.

Matthew 7:23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’ (NASB)

In the New American Standard Bible, the evildoers are translated as people who do not follow the laws of God.

What is the true Law of God Jesus preached 2000 years ago?

    The Laws of God

Therefore, the true standard we should use to distinguish the true prophets and false ones are the laws of God. If a prophet follows the laws of God, however shabby and insignificant may he look, he should be listened to and obeyed because he is delivering the words of God. If a prophet disobeys the laws of God, however, however eloquent, good-looking, and well-educated may he be, we never should listen to him or follow him because he is the one leading us to the pit.

Then what is the laws of God and where can we find the laws of God? If we look at the customs of the world, people goes to the church on Sundays because that is the day when the prophets of God (who works in many different names and titles such as ministers, pastors, missionaries) are inviting them to come to worship God. And people celebrates the Christmas to remember the birth of Christ for the similar reason. So are the other ceremonies they keep in the church.

But are these the true laws of God? No, they are not. No where in the bible, we can see the instances when Jesus and disciples gathered on the 25th of December to commemorate the birth of Christ. Neither can we find any record where Jesus and Disciples celebrated the day of Resurrections with bunnies and painted eggs calling the day, “Easter.” Nor can we find Jesus and disciples going to church on Sundays to worship God.

Rather, we can see them having worship services on the Sabbath, which is Saturdays according to their custom. (Luke 4:16, Acts 17:2) And also we see them keeping the Passover according to its own regulations at its appointed time. (Matthew 26:26, 1 Corinthians 5:7) We can see them keeping the Pentecost (Acts 2:1), the Feast of Tabernacle (John 7) and keeping the Day of Resurrection by breaking bread. (Luke 24:30)

In these respects, who are the pastors who opens the church on Sundays to worship God? Who are the priests who celebrate the Christmas? Who are the missionaries who paint eggs to keep the Easter? Aren’t they the false ones? Their good appearance, their good education, their good speech, their vast knowledge, all these do not matter. Through their fruits, we can recognize the false ones. What should we call those who practice the lawlessness? They are the wolves in sheep’s clothing.

    Conclusion

Just as Jesus came to us to reveal the true identity of the false prophets of the time through his true teachings and to destroy the work of the false prophets.

1 John 3:8   The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.

The work of the Devil was always committing sins and the sin according to the bible is the lawlessness. (1 John 3:4) Christ came to destroy the work of Devil by preaching the truth of the new covenant so that God’s people know the true laws of God and obey them. In the same way, Devil worked again to destroy the truth, but the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong came for the second time to teach us the truth of the new covenant. He saw us led by the false prophets and into the way of destruction. He had pity and compassion for the sinners and left heaven’s throne for the second time and came to us again. Up until now we have been following the ways of destruction deceived by the false prophets, but now let us following the way of truth and life according to the teachings of God Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem.

  • What Is The True Wisdom?

    What Is The True Wisdom?

King Solomon praised about gaining wisdom.

Proverb 4:7   Wisdom is supreme—so acquire wisdom, and whatever you acquire, acquire understanding!

Solomon was the King of Wisdom so whatever he said must have come out of his great wisdom and we should think in the same way. Therefore, we also must make effort to gain wisdom and understanding. But then what is the true wisdom that we must gain? This is a tricky question because so many people have different opinions about the kind of wisdom that they think is important.

    Wisdom for our Life

We can happen to meet many books and newspaper articles on the wisdom we should have for the benefit of our life. And they are talking about a wisdom to teach us how to save money, how to have great connections, how to gain fame, how to be productive, and so on. To achieve all these things we definitely need a certain kind of wisdom. However, are they the true wisdom we should gain or are they the true wisdom taught in the bible? It cannot be because the same Solomon, who once gain all those things through his wisdom said that those things are meaningless and chasing after the wind.

3 I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly—my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives. 4 I undertook great projects: I built houses for myself and planted vineyards. 5 I made gardens and parks and planted all kinds of fruit trees in them. 6 I made reservoirs to water groves of flourishing trees. 7 I bought male and female slaves and had other slaves who were born in my house. I also owned more herds and flocks than anyone in Jerusalem before me. 8 I amassed silver and gold for myself, and the treasure of kings and provinces. I acquired male and female singers, and a harem as well—the delights of a man’s heart. 9 I became greater by far than anyone in Jerusalem before me. In all this my wisdom stayed with me.

    10 I denied myself nothing my eyes desired;
I refused my heart no pleasure.
My heart took delight in all my labor,
and this was the reward for all my toil.
11 Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done
and what I had toiled to achieve,
    everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind;
nothing was gained under the sun.

From the Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 2

With his wisdom he gained whatever a man seeks after such as fame, wealth, power, knowledge, etc. For everything he had done, however, he concludes that everything was meaningless. Through this we can see that the true wisdom we should strive for is not in these worldly things we are seeking after. Then where is the true wisdom? What is the wisdom we should gain?

    Solomon’s Splendor

    The Wisdom that Matters

We can find an answer for this question through a testimony of a man who once had great wisdom in the eyes of people, but threw them away after realizing a more important wisdom that matters. Paul once boasted about his worldly wisdom, which was not untrue considering the education he received before his conversion. We can see a glimpse of his wisdom and education through a passage about him before his conversion.

The intellectual and moral endowment of Saul was of the highest order. The sharpest thinking was blended with the tenderest feeling, the deepest mind with the strongest will. He had Semitic fervor, Greek versatility, and Roman energy.

Paul before his conversion from Bible Hub

He received all the education a person could receive to be a learned man in those days. He was educated in many different languages including Greek and Hebrews and he seemed to have received formal education on the Greek philosophy and literature. Also, he received a very strict education on the Scriptures as a member of Pharisee. On the basis of this educational background he could boast about his knowledge and wisdom of the time.

Philippians 3:4    though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

To those who boasted about the prominence and superiority of their own physical life, he argues that he has more to boast about for his family background, educations, and the Roman citizenship given by birth. Even though he had all the more reasons to boast about himself because of his surpassing educational background of the time, however, he said that he considered all those worldly things as “rubbish” after he realized the Christ.

Philippians 3:7     But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him.

Even though he once had all the wisdom people desired for, later he threw them away to gain a better wisdom. Then to him what was the greatest wisdom?

1 Corinthians 2:6    We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 No, we declare God’s wisdom, a mystery that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. 8 None of the rulers of this age understood it.

What is the wisdom of God which people of the world could not understand with their wisdom of the world? Even though many had wisdom and understanding in the perspectives of man, they could not understand this wisdom of God. They were blind and deaf to this wisdom. What is the wisdom of God, the mystery of God which had been hidden since the creation of the world.

Colossians 2:2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The true mystery or wisdom of God is Christ who can give us salvation. However, people of the time-even though they had wisdom and understanding-could not understand this wisdom of God, Christ, and they rejected him because he was considered foolish in the wisdom of the world. To them Christ was a person who tried to save others while he did not have power to save even himself. That is why to the Gentiles or Greeks who sought wisdom in those days Christ was a foolishness. But to Paul who came to realize the true wisdom of God, Christ was the true power and wisdom that we must seek after even in the sacrifice of everything else.

Saul’s Conversion: What was the wisdom he sought by throwing away all the things that he once boasted about?

    How to Gain this Wisdom

Then how should we be educated to gain this wisdom? Can we learn this wisdom in the books, in the library, in the universities or in a TV talk show? Where should we go to get this wisdom? This is not a wisdom which can be gained in the ways of the world. If then, there would be many scholars and philosophers who are filled with the wisdom and giving graceful teachings about the wisdom of God, revealing all the mystery of Christ. But there is none, which proves that there is no one who gained this spiritual wisdom.

If this is the case, how and where can we get this wisdom of God?

2 Timothy 3:14   But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

In this verse we can see the true wisdom and the source of this wisdom. The true wisdom is the one that can lead us to salvation and this wisdom can be acquired only through “the Holy Scriptures” or the bible. The bible is a book given by God to teach us in every way and by every means about the wisdom of knowing who the Christ is and how we can receive salvation. For this purpose, the bible gives us many things-examples, prophecies, parables, types, evidences, so that we could be “thoroughly equipped” with the knowledge and understanding for our salvation.

    Conclusion

God who appeared in the flesh was a great test of wisdom of God and almost everybody failed even though they had wisdom in the worldly standard. It was because we need a different wisdom than the wisdom of the world to know Christ. The bible says that the Christ will appear again for the second time. (Hebrews 9:28) When he does, again he would be a stumbling block which tests the wisdom of each man and many will fall down because they trust on their own wisdom rather than the wisdom of God coming from the bible.

To know the second coming Christ we must get rid of our own thoughts and opinions, but listen to the words of God in the bible.

Job 22:23   If you return to the Almighty, you will be restored:  If you remove wickedness far from your tent 24 and assign your nuggets to the dust,  your gold of Ophir to the rocks in the ravines, 25 then the Almighty will be your gold, the choicest silver for you.

The bible teaches we must get rid of our wisdom and knowledge and then God will become our wisdom and knowledge which will surely lead us to salvation.

Now, to fulfill the prophecies of the bible the Second Coming Christ has already come to give us salvation. Let us believe in the name of Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem. Please get rid of the wisdom and understanding you have had until now, and return to God and God will be your wisdom.

  • The End Of Age And Completion Of Creation Work

It seems that speaking about the end of age today is a taboo which should not be mentioned in any circumstances and when someone or some organizations do they are considered as dangerous to the people living in peace and they are rejected as cult. If we think about the bible, however, we can see the prophets of God proclaiming the end time all throughout the bible. Even Jesus and the disciples who were taught by him preached the end time. Then should we consider them as cult too and reject them to be dangerous for us? We cannot. It is because they bible is in nature concerned about the end time.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.

Again and again the bible warns us about the end of age, but what is important in these warnings are not the destruction itself, but the salvation which will be completed at the end.

2 Peter 3:12   That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Therefore, those who long for the kingdom of heaven must seriously consider about this end time and must look forward to the salvation completed at that time. And they also must make effort so that they would be saved at that time.

Prophecies of the End Time in the Bible

Eschatology should not be a taboo, but should be considered as part of the teachings of God. If Eschatology or the study of the end time or the day of judgment should be rejected as cult, Jesus also should be regarded as one including the disciples. Even God should be rejected because he proclaimed the end time always through the prophets of God.

Ezekiel 7:5   Disaster! Unheard-of disaster! See, it comes! 6 The end has come! The end has come!

Isaiah 66:16  For with fire and with his sword the Lord will execute judgment on all people, and many will be those slain by the Lord.

Zephaniah 1:18  Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the Lord’s wrath.”In the fire of his jealousy the whole earth will be consumed, For he will make a sudden end of all who live on the earth.

What should we consider about all these prophecies of the end time? Should we dismiss them as cult? No, rather we should accept the eschatology as part of the bible. God gave these prophecies of the end time, not to intimidate us, but to give us chances to prepare the Day of Judgment so that we would receive salvation, not destruction on that day. In this sense, the prophecies of the end time should be actually recognized as essential part of the bible.

    destruction-of-the-earth
Destruction of the Earth with fire

These prophecies are important especially for us because we are actually living in the end time prophesied in the bible. Therefore, according to the teachings of God in the bible, now is the time for us to get prepared so that we would receive salvation rather than destruction. If we lose this chance given to us, we would not be given another one.

    A Prophetical Understanding of Time

Then let us understand our time through the prophecies of the bible. Knowing the time frame they are living in is a prerequisite for salvation and we can see this through the words of Jesus 2000 years ago.

2000 years ago to the Jews who had been suffering under the persecutions of Roman, the Savior they had long expected came to them. But the Jews did not recognize him and lost their chance for salvation. This happened mainly because they did not realize the time frame they were living.

Luke 19:43     The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. 44 They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.

The main reason the destruction was proclaimed to them was because they did not know the time frame they were living and they rejected their God who came to them as man in the flesh to give them salvation. This is a warning given to us who are living in the last days. If we do not realize the time frame we are living we would make the same mistake and in turn we also will lost our chance for salvation. Then what is the time frame we are living in?

To understand this first we should look at the concept of time in the bible. The prophetical time in the bible is different from the physical time we are living in. For example, a day physically is composed of 24 hours, but in the prophecies of the bible a day can be counted in a different way. First, in some cases a day can be considered as a year in some prophecies of the bible.

Number 14:34   34 For forty years—one year for each of the forty days you explored the land—you will suffer for your sins and know what it is like to have me against you.

Ezekiel 4:6   After you have finished this, lie down again, this time on your right side, and bear the sin of the people of Judah. I have assigned you 40 days, a day for each year.

Through these two instances we can see the prophetical calculation of time is different from the ordinary time concept. Prophetically, one day can be considered as one year. And also one day can be considered as one thousand years in the prophecies of the bible.

2 Peter 3:8   But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

With these things in mind let us think about the prophetical end time or the last day.

The End Time or the Last Day

The end time is the period when God makes his judgment for the people who would be destroyed and grants salvation to his people who would enter the kingdom of heaven. About the salvation which would be completed at the last day, Jesus prophesied like this:

John 6:40    For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Then when is the last day? If we can find out the time frame for the last day, we can know the time frame we are living in. Then when is the last day? When would the work of God finish and complete his creation work? In the book of Genesis we can see the Six-Day Creation in which God created everything in six days and on the seventh day he took rest to commemorate the completion of his creation work.

If we understand this creation work literally, we must understand that the creation work of God is over and nothing needs to be done. But this is untrue. Jesus who appeared way after the Six-Day Creation said that the work of God is not over yet.

John 5:17    In his defense Jesus said to them, “My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.

Through this he is teaching that the creation work of God is still in progress and it is not completed yet. We can see the same teaching in the Book of Hebrews too.

Hebrews 4:3  And yet his works have been finished since the creation of the world. 4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.” 5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.” 6 Therefore since it still remains for some to enter that rest.

While explaining about the Six-Day Creation, Paul teaches the creation work has not been completed yet. He says that the fact that there are still a rest which will be given to the people in the future reveals that the true day of rest or the seventh day has not come yet. Therefore, the Six-Day Creation in the Book of Genesis is not the physical creation work which was completed in the six days at the beginning.

The Six-Day Creation was actually given as prophecies to teach us the completion of God’s creation work or salvation work. A day in the bible is calculated as a thousand years and through this we can see the Six-Day Creation is given to us to represent “the Six Thousand Years of God’s Salvation Work.” It means God will finish his salvation work in 6000 years just as he finished his creation work in 6 days and he will rest for a thousand years on the 7th millennium as we can see the day of rest given on the 7th day. The Book of Revelation which speaks about the last day shows this fact clearly by showing the rest of 1000 years after the 6000 years of salvation work.

Revelation 20:6     Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

The 1000 year rest after the salvation work is described as 1000 year reign of God’s people with Christ. Then when is the last day? To find the answer we must look at the Six-Day Creation. Creation work was done for six days and in this creation work the last day is the sixth day when God created Adam and Eve and finished his creation work. Therefore, the prophetical last day is the end of the Sixth Thousand years since a day is a thousand years in the bible. Then what we need to know is how many years has passed since the start of the creation work.

    The Span of Creation Work

How much time has passed since the creation of Adam and Eve? If we can find the answer for this question we can know when the last day is. There is a very interesting chronological study of the bible to figure out the time span extending from the creation in Genesis to our time.

SUMMARY OF THE TIME FROM ADAM TO JESUS
    *  Adam to Abraham ……………… 1948 yrs *
    * Abraham to Egypt …………….. 290 yrs *
    * From Egypt to Moses: (X) Let X = 63 63 yrs *
    * X = (Kohath to Amram to Moses) *
    * Moses to the Exodus ………….. 80 yrs *
    * Exodus to death Joshua ……….. 70 yrs *
    * Judges to Samuel …………….. 450 yrs (Acts 13:20) *
    * Kings of Judah ………………. 513 yrs *
    * Babylonian Captivity …………. 586 B.C.E. *
    * ————— *
    * Adam to Jesus 4000 yrs

Scholars have some different opinions, but largely they agree that the time span of the Old Testament from Adam to Jesus was about 4000 years. So about two thirds of the creation work had been spent before Christ’s coming and since his coming about 2000 years has passed until now 2016. So in total a little over six thousand years has passed since God started his creation work, which means we ARE living in the last day of the creation work, the Sixth Day.

    chronology-of-the-bible
4000 years of the History of the Old Testament from Adam to Jesus

Therefore, we can conclude that all the prophecies of the bible was actually given for us who are living in the last day or the sixth day. If that is the case, how can we dismiss the warnings of God lightly and say, “Oh, do not disturb my life with this kind of cultish nonsense.” We must remember the words of Jesus who proclaimed a judgment to the Jews because they did not realize the time frame they were living in. They were living in the time of salvation, but out of ignorance they rejected their Savior who came in the flesh.

The Savior in the Last Day

According to the bible who is the Savior in the last day? In the Six-Day Creation God created Adam and Eve on the last Sixth day. Then what is the prophetically meaning? According to the bible, Adam represent Christ or God the Father who came as man in the flesh.

Romans 5:14    Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come.

If Adam represents Christ, then who does Eve, the wife of Adam represent? Eve parabolically symbolize God the Mother, who is the wife of Christ who would appear at the last day to give salvation.

Revelation 21:9    One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb (or the Christ).” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

Galatians 4:26   But the Jerusalem that is above (in heaven) is free, and she is our mother.

The Book of Revelation shows the Last Adam and Last Eve who would appear in the last day to give salvation of eternal life to God’s people. They appears in the last day to give the water of life or the eternal life.

Revelation 22:17    The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

The Spirit and the Bride or the spiritual Adam and Eve comes and give the water of life or eternal life. This is the end of the creation work of God. To fulfill this prophecy the Holy Spirit Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem appeared as the Last Adam and Eve to give us the water of life. Those who believe in the prophecies of the bible must recognize the time frame we are living in and come to the Spirit and the Bride for the water of life.

    creation-of-adam-and-eve
What is the meaning of the creation of Adam and Eve at the last day of the creation?

    Conclusion

We are living literally in the last day when God finishes his creation work by completing his salvation work.

Genesis 1:26   26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

On the sixth day or the last day, God created Adam and Eve and gave them mission to rule over animals. Prophetically, Adam and Eve are the Spirit and the Bride, and the animals are Gentiles who are to be led by the Spirit and Bride to receive salvation, which completes the creation work.

The Spirit and the Bride are calling us to come to receive the water of life.

  • The Savior In Each Age And His New Name

As people who accepts God as our King and our Savior, the Bible says that at least we must know the name of the Savior.

Isaiah 52:5   “And now what do I have here?” declares the Lord. “For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock,” declares the Lord. “And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed. 6 Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I.”

God says that his people at least must know his name. Many people might think it absurd because they believe that they know the name of God perfectly well. And many say that they believe in the name of Jesus, who is their God and Savior. If that is that easy, God would not have warned that his people should know his name. Now let us find out the true name of the Savior so that we may know who the true God is and what his name is.

Jesus, a New Name of Savior

2000 years ago, when Jesus came down to this earth, God’s people in those days were Jews. They were the people who had been given the Scriptures or the bible and they studied the bible since the time of Moses. Based on the knowledge of the bible, they thought it was easy for them to know the true God and his name because the Scriptures already testified the God and his name Jehovah. It was no wonder that they had confidence on their knowledge of the bible since they studied the Scriptures or the bible day and night and they had thorough knowledge of the Law of Moses.

    New Name of Christ
The Name of God in the Old Testament, YHWH

But when the God they believed came down to this earth in human form in the name of Jesus, it was proven that their knowledge of God was wrong since they did not recognize the God with their knowledge of the bible. They knew that God was Father Jehovah or “יהוה” in Hebrew, which corresponds to “YHWH” in English alphabets. They worshiped him since the time of Abraham calling him “God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob” and “God of Israel.” Even though they were taught about their God for thousands of years generations after generations, they did not recognize the God they claimed to know and they even crucified him and killed him when He came to save them. How and why did this happen?

Even though they thought they knew God, in actuality they did not know God. The main reason was because the God they had worshiped appeared to them with a completely different name from the one they had already know. They knew the name Jehovah, but they did not trust in the name Jesus because the new name was not recorded in the bible as the name of Savior or nobody-no prophets or teachers of laws-ever mentioned or taught about the name Jesus. According to their knowledge of the Scriptures, the Name of God was יהוה or Jehovah.

Then why did this discrepancy happen even though they were taught with the same Scriptures as the one we have now as Christians? According to the Scriptures, Jesus was not God to the Jews; however, according to the same Scriptures Jesus was God to the Christians of the Jesus’ time. How come the Jews who lived in the same era and studied the same Scriptures had completely different opinions of Jesus? One Jew said Jesus was a man blaspheming the name of God by claiming himself as God and another said that Jesus was in the very nature God who appeared in the form of a man.

It was because the Jews did not know or accept that God could appear as man and with a different name. They did not look at the prophecies of the bible and the fulfillment through Jesus. But the Christians accepted the prophecies of the bible and therefore they could accept Jesus even though he appeared to them in many ways contrary to their expectation. At least they knew that Jesus was the one who fulfilled the prophecies of the bible even though he was a man and he came from a ordinary family.

When they accepted the name Jesus, from that time the name Jesus became the name of the Savior and God to them and they started to pray in the name of Jesus. They knew that by Jesus appearing to them the name of Father, Jehovah became obsolete even though once that was the name given to them for thousands of years. With this realization, disciples of Jesus, who once were praying in the name of Jehovah, started to call on the name of Jesus and became the witnesses of Jesus, preaching Jesus was God and Savior.

The Name of the Savior in our Time

Then what is the Name of God and Savior to us? To this question, many will confidently say that Jesus is my Lord and Savior. This is understandable because His name is recorded all through the New Testament. But let us go back to the time of Jesus. Jews’ faith in Jehovah was also reasonable because Jehovah was the name recorded all through the Scriptures of the Old Testament. Even though Jehovah was the name recorded in the Old Testament, a group of people started to believe in Jesus as their God because he fulfilled all the prophecies Jehovah made in the Old Testament. Therefore, logically, they concluded that Jesus-even though he came with a different name-was God the Father Jehovah.

It is the same in our time. The standard of our faith should be based on the prophecies of God in the bible. If the bible says, we will have the same name Jesus as the name of Savior, then we must believe in the name of Jesus. But what if the bible says Jesus will come with a different name just as he had done 2000 years ago? If that is the case, we would make the same mistake as the Jews had made 2000 years ago by insisting the obsolete name of Savior as true name and rejecting the true name of Savior by holding on to his old without knowing that a new age has come when we have to know the new name of Savior.

    New Name of Christ
Jesus, the Name of God in the Age of the Son

Not to make this kind of mistake we must know the prophecies of the bible. Then what does the bible say about the Second Coming Christ and his name? Let us first find about some of the prophecies of the bible so that we can know the plan of God for our salvation.

The Name of the Holy Spirit

Matthew 28:18    Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

This verse contains a deep prophecy of our salvation. Through this verse Jesus is teaching us the plan of God’s salvation. Let us find out the secrets one by one so that we can understand the plan of God for our salvation. First, we have to know the word, “baptizing.” The reason we have to focus on this word is because baptism is a very essential ceremony for the salvation. Baptism is a ceremony through which we can receive the forgiveness of sins and the names we must be baptized in are the names of God we must know and accept for our salvation since God is the only one who can give the forgiveness of sins.

This verse reveals to us that God divided his salvation work into three different stages or ages: the Age of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. And in each age he gave a name for the Savior. To the Jews before Jesus’ coming, the name of Savior was Jehovah and for this reason it was hard for them to accept the name Jesus since they had been taught that Jehovah was the Savior. But disciples who knew the plan of God could get rid of their own prejudice about God and could accept Jesus because he accomplished all the prophecies of the bible.

Then what did Jesus teach about the last days? By saying that we must get baptized in the name of the Holy Spirit, he was teaching to us that first, there would be the age of the Holy Spirit in the last days, and second people who are living in the last days must know the name of the Holy Spirit for the baptism to be complete for their salvation. Therefore, we who are living not in the Age of Father, nor in the Age of Son, but in the Age of Holy Spirit must know two things, that is, who the Holy Spirit is and what His name is. First, who is the Holy Spirit? Since the bible already prophesied that Christ would appear a second time (Hebrews 9:28), we can guess the Holy Spirit must be the second coming Christ.

The reason the age of first coming Christ is called the Age of Son was because of the title given to Jesus when he came for the first time. According to a prophecy of a bible in the Book of Isaiah, Christ would be coming as son. (Isaiah 9:6) But the bible says that the Christ who would appear second time in the last days would use a different title, “the Holy Spirit.” We can confirm this through the titles Jesus uses throughout the New Testament. When he came 2000 years, he called himself “Son” by using the title “the Son of Man.”

Matthew 12:8    For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.

Also people also called Jesus with the title “Son.”

Luke 18:38  38 He called out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”

But when Jesus appears in the last days, he does not use the title “Son” anymore; instead he uses the title “the Holy Spirit” to refer to himself.

Revelation 2:17   Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

This book of Revelation was based on the revelation John received from Jesus, which is concerned about things that “must soon take place.” (Revelation 1:1) Therefore, we can say, this book is a prophecy about the last days. In this revelation, Jesus keeps using the title “the Spirit” or the Holy Spirit to refer to himself. This reveals that he would use the title “the Spirit”, not “the Son” in the last days. Then we can call this age when he is using the title, the Holy Spirit as the Age of the Holy Spirit.

And Jesus taught that he would have a name in this age too and we must know this name to get baptized for the forgiveness of sins. Then what would be the name of Jesus in the last days? Would it be the same Jesus? Or would it be different like 2000 years ago by coming with a completely different name to make it hard for people to recognize him? To give the correct answer we must look at the prophecies of the bible. Then what does the bible say about the name of the Holy Spirit?

Revelation 3:11    I (Jesus) am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name. 13 Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

He is speaking about the future when he comes back in the last days and He says that he would come with a NEW name when he comes for the second time. Let us confirm again.

Revelation 2:17  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

    New Name of Christ
What is the name of the Holy Spirit that would be written on a white stone?

According to the bible, the stone represents Christ himself (1 Peter 2:4), and the stone with a NEW name means Christ who is

coming with another name. Through this we can see that the Christ would come with a completely different name when he comes in the Age of the Holy Spirit in the last days. How hard would it be for people to know the Christ and accept the new name of the Christ in the last days as we have already seen through the same event the Jews had 2000 years ago in his first coming.

    Conclusion

In this situation, who would be like disciples of Jesus 2000 years ago and accept the second coming Christ? Many will act in the same way as the Jews had done and will reject the second coming Christ and will not be able to receive the salvation by refusing to be baptized in the name of the Holy Spirit. We who wants to receive salvation must be different and have spiritual eyes to recognize the Christ who is coming with a new name. The only ways is through the prophecies of the bible. Whoever fulfills the prophecies of the bible is the second coming Christ and his name is the new name which we must accept for our salvation.

Then what is the name of the Holy Spirit? To know answer for this question, first we should ask these questions? How fulfill the prophecies of King David? Melchizedek? Moses? All these prophecies got fulfilled by one man who came as man in the flesh from a far off land in the east in 1948 to fulfill all the prophecies Christ gave 2000 years ago about his second coming. (Matthew 24) The man is Christ Ahnsahnghong. He came and fulfilled all the prophecies of the bible and through this we must know that the new name of the Holy Spirit is Ahnsahnghong and this is the name of Savior in the Age of the Holy Spirit.

Come to Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem and receive salvation.

  • Prerequisite To Enter Into The Kingdom Of Heaven

3e7d8-leonardo_da_vinci_-_last_supperEveryone who believes in God wants to enter into the kingdom of heaven, but sadly they do not know how to enter into the kingdom of heaven. What does the bible says about it and what does God teach us to do to enter into the kingdom of heaven?

Not a Place for Flesh and Blood

The bible teaches that the kingdom of heaven is not a place for flesh and blood. Therefore, we human beings with flesh and blood cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven until we are born again spiritually.

1 Corinthians 15:50  I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

This words of God raise many questions to us. If the heaven is not for flesh and blood, then how can we who are made of flesh and blood enter into the heaven? Isn’t there any way for us to enter there? If there is, how can we enter into the kingdom? And why can’t flesh and blood allowed to enter into the kingdom of heaven?

All these questions are important and we should get answers one by one to be sure that we will enter into the kingdom of heaven. First, let us think about the reason why flesh and blood can enter into the kingdom of heaven. The flesh and blood means the perishable physical body given to us to live on this earth. The reason we cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven with this physical body is because the heaven is a place for spiritual and imperishable things.

    A Place Without Death

Let us look at one of the most important characteristics of the kingdom of heaven. The Book of Revelation teaches about heaven like this:

Revelation 21:4    ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”

Heaven is the place where there is no death and it means that everything in it last forever. In other words, it is a place for imperishable. But our physical body with its flesh and blood is perishable. It does not last forever and thus it does not belong to the kingdom of heaven. That is why we cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven with our physical body.

Then how can we enter into the kingdom of heaven? If we cannot enter into heaven with this physical body, it sounds like that we will never be able to enter the kingdom because we are not given any extra body other than this one we have. However, the bible teaches that God will change our physical body into a spiritual body at the last moment. At the last moment our perishable body would be miraculously changed into an imperishable body.

1 Corinthians 15:51   Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed— 52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed. 53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

How will we be changed at this moment?

Philippians 3:20   But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

Paul testifies that the physical body we have now would be changed into the spiritual and glorious body through the power of God at the last moment. In other words, our perishable body would be clothed with an imperishable body at the moment.

    resurrection-by-sebastiano-ricci
    Resurrection by Sebastiano Ricci

    The Condition for this Transformation

Then how will our perishable body be able to be changed into an imperishable body? We cannot change our physical body into the spiritual body with our own power or ability because we do not have any power or authority to grant eternal life. It is only through the power of God that the eternal life can be given to people.

1 Timothy 6:15   which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.

Imperishable things belongs only to God. To teach us the way of eternal life, God appeared as man in the flesh 2000 years ago and taught how to clothe with the imperishable. On the night of the Passover, he gave his flesh and blood to his disciples (or God’s people who will inherit the kingdom of heaven).

Matthew 26:17   On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” 18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

And Jesus gave his flesh and blood through the Passover bread and wine.

Matthew 26:26   While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Then why did he want to give his flesh and blood? And why should we receive the flesh and blood of Christ? The imperishable things belong only to God and thus the flesh and blood of Jesus Christ does not belong to the perishable world because Jesus was God who came in the flesh. Therefore, his flesh and blood is imperishable and immortal which can last forever.

    The Meaning of the Passover

Then what is the meaning of receiving the flesh and blood of Christ? Through the Passover, Jesus gave his imperishable body to us so that our perishable body would be transformed into an imperishable body like him. When we receive the body of Christ, we can also have eternal life in us like Jesus Christ and can live forever. Once our perishable body is transformed into an imperishable body through the flesh and blood of Christ, we will be allowed to enter into the imperishable world, the kingdom of heaven.

John 6:53     Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

Through the Passover, we can receive the imperishable body of Christ in us and our perishable body is changed into an imperishable body through the flesh and blood of Christ that remains in us. And we can enter into the imperishable world, the kingdom of heaven where there is no death. Therefore, the very first thing that we should do to enter into heaven is to keep the Passover so that we may receive the flesh and blood of Christ and our lowly body would be changed into the glorious body like Christ.

Those who have received the body of Christ through the Passover will be able to be transformed into the imperishable at the sound of the last trumpet and enter into the kingdom of heaven. How glorious the moment would be when all the people of God are transformed into the spiritual heavenly angels flying toward the kingdom of heaven.

The Restoration of Passover By Christ Ahnsahnghong

The Passover of the new covenant which was established through the sacrifice of Christ Jesus was gradually abolished by the work of Satan and completely disappeared for the world in 325 AD at the Council of Nicaea. Since then nobody could receive the body of Christ and receive the promise of eternal life in the kingdom of heaven during the dark age.

But the bible already prophesied that the Christ would come again in the flesh and restored the Passover.

Hebrews 9:28    28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

To fulfill this prophecy, Christ Ahnsahnghong came to this earth again and restored the Passover. Moreover, he let us know the true reality of the Passover, the true reality of Christ’s flesh and blood, that is, God the Mother who is the true source of eternal life.

Let us accept the flesh and blood of Christ through the Passover and transform our lowly body into the glorious and imperishable body like Christ and enter into the eternal kingdom of heaven.

  • The Bible And Human History

    The Bible And Human History

Bible And Human History–Many people lived on this earth and many nations and kingdoms rose and fell in the human history. What was their purpose? Why have so many lived and so many nations existed on this earth? Where does the human beings and their story go? What is waiting for them at the end?

All these things are crucial question we must ask to know the purpose of our life. But the answers for these questions are hard to get by. Where should we go to get the information for these questions? Should we ask some futurologist? Or some famous meteorologists? famous scholars or scientists? Everyone has their opinion and nobody seems to be agreeing with others at any points. In this world of confusion and uncertainty, we can be sure of one thing at least that we cannot trust on man’s opinion. In this situation the only one we can consult to is God the Almighty who knows everything and can do everything.

God, the Planner of Human History

Bible And Human History–The bible teaches it is God who already made plan for human beings from the beginning to the end and recorded all his plans in the bible. Therefore, the bible is the book we must turn to to understand the meaning and purpose of our life on this earth.

Daniel 2:21   He (God) changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. 22 He reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him.

It is God who already made a plan for the whole human history and also for all the kingdoms and nations, not to mention of peoples of the nations. He is the one who sets up nations and kings and makes them fall.

Isaiah 25:1   Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago. 2 You have made the city a heap of rubble, the fortified town a ruin, the foreigners’ stronghold a city no more; it will never be rebuilt.

God gives a time for a city to prosper and then again it will fall down also according to the plan of God. Nothing exists which lies beyond the power or plan of God. Everything is done according to the perfect plan of God

Acts 17:26    From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.

    The Lesson We Should Learn

Bible And Human History–Then why did God make all the plan and fulfill everything according to his plan? What does he want to teach us through the history of mankind? With all these kings and kingdoms risen and fallen throughout the history?

Act 17:27    God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

Paul explains the reason  very clearly. Through the human history, God wants us to know that there is God who has already planned everything for us and just as he planned for the past, he also made his plan for the future for us. That is why to know what is going to happen in the future or to find out the meaning of our life on this earth or to know the reason why God created us in this world we must SEEK him and REACH OUT for him and FIND him. And finally we should realize our spiritual status that we are all children of God who will give us the spiritual life (eternal life) in heaven.

The Bible teaches us that we must seek God and reach out for God.

Deuteronomy 4:29   29 But if from there you seek the Lord your God, you will find him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Isaiah 55:6   Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. 7 Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Even though God is spiritual and invisible, through this visible human history God is teaching us his existence and telling us to seek him and find him for the blessings.

    Those Who Found God

Bible And Human History–The reason we must find God is to receive blessing from God. When we do not know God and meet God, we cannot receive spiritual blessings for our salvation. Those who sought God in the past could meet God, but those who did not seek God or know God ultimately got destroyed.

Hosea 3:5   Afterward the Israelites will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the Lord and to his blessings in the last days.

Without meeting God there is no blessings of the forgiveness or eternal life. 2000 years ago God came down to this earth as man in the flesh in the name of Jesus and those who sought him and obeyed him could receive salvation. But those who did not recognize him rejected him and crucified him, shouting only to contemn themselves out of ignorance by saying, “Let his blood on our head and on our children’s heads.” By their own words Jerusalem was surrounded by Roman Army and destroyed. And those who shouted blasphemy were judged by their own words by being killed by Roman soldiers.

But those who sought the favor of God could meet God and receive the salvation from Jesus. The bible says that everything was written to teach us and give us lessons. We should also learn a lesson from this history of Israel. We must be like those who sought Jesus 2000 years ago like fishermen, taxcollectors, prostitutes, the disabled, and those who were humble. They obeyed the command of God: Seek, Reach out, and Find. According to the prophecies of the bible the Second Coming Christ will surely come. At that moment we must not be the ones who reject him and lose the salvation.

    Bible and Human History
Herodotus, A Great Historian. But is he the true writer of History? No. He was just recording the work of God. Then what is God preparing for us at the end?

    The End Of Human History

Bible And Human History–Now let us think about the end. If God made a plan for the human history from the beginning to the end, then what will happen at the end? What would be the destiny of human beings? What plan does God have for us? And what is the thing we should do? All these things are also recorded in the bible as prophecies. The end of human history is the great disasters and destruction of this present heavens and earth and God is going to establish a new heaven and earth, that is, the kingdom of heaven for us.

2 Peter 3:7    By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. . . . 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

This is the end of the human history according to the plan of God. To lead us to this new heaven and earth, the bible says Christ would come for the second time as man in the flesh again. At that moment what kind of person should we be? The bible says we must seek God with all our heart, mind and soul.

Christ Ahnsahnghong came to fulfill the prophecies of the bible and appeared to us for the second time. Now is the time that we must seek him, reach out for him and find him if he is the true Christ or not. Do not just dismiss him by looking at his physical appearance, but seek him earnestly by looking at the prophecies of the bible. Then we will find him and receive our salvation.

  • Those Who Work For The Glory Of God

God compares his people in many different ways. They are sometimes compared to clean animals, fish, or even birds. And also in many places they compared to tree or forests or branches of trees. And God said he created them to reveal the glory of God.

Isaiah 60:21  Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. 22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the Lord; in its time I will do this swiftly.”

Bearing Much Fruit For the Glory of God

God has planted us to display the splendor or the glory of God. Therefore, those who reveals the glory of God can be considered as people of God. Then as branches of God how can we reveal the glory of God? Jesus let us know how to give glory to God as his people.

John 15:8   This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

The mission given to the branches are bearing much fruit and in this way we as branches of God also can give glory to God by bearing much fruit. Fruit can mean many things, but ultimately it means our actions. John the Baptist cried to the Pharisees to “produce fruit in keeping with repentance.” He was rebuking them to show their repentance through their actions. And what kind of actions should we practice to prove that we are the people of God?

    Fruits We Must Bear

Galatians 5:22   But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

These are the fruits that we must bear. These are all the examples Jesus showed us as examples so that we would follow and when we shows these characteristics through our actions, we can say that we bore the fruits that can give glory to God. When all our actions are blamess and suitable to the words of God, we as branches of God can reveal the glory of God to the peoples of the world.

Matthew 5:14  “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

This is the very purpose God has chosen us. Even though we once did not know God and follow the true words of God, God came down to this earth again for the second time and teaches us the same thing to bear much fruit to reveal the glory to God.

    Autumn Tree with Many Fruits

When we see trees with many fruits, we just smile because it is such a good thing to see. In the same way when we bear much fruit, God will smile to us and bless us more abundantly. In this season of Autumn, I would like to bear much fruit through true repentance and give smile to God with many beautiful fragrances.

2 Peter 1:4  4 through which he also gave us the very great and rich gifts that he promised us. With these gifts you can share in being like God. And so you will escape the ruin that comes to people in the world because of the evil things they want. 5 Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge; 6 to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God; 7 to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love. 8 If all these things are in you and growing, you will never fail to be useful to God. You will produce the kind of fruit that should come from your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But those who don’t grow in these blessings are blind. They cannot see clearly what they have. They have forgotten that they were cleansed from their past sins.

If we truly know God, we must take part in the divine nature of God and when we do, we can produce proper fruits resulting from the knowledge we have of God. Let us bear much fruit in this Autumn and shine the glory of God to the peoples of the world so that they may know the true Elohim God who created heavens and earth: God the Father and God the Mother.

  • Sabbath For Man, Or Man For Sabbath

There is one teaching of Jesus Christ which is often misunderstood and misinterpreted by people. Now let us loot at the verse and find out the true meaning of the verse.

Mark 2:27  Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

Seemingly in this verse Jesus teaches us that we don’t have to keep the Sabbath. They interpret this verse like this: What is imporant is theman and even the Sabbath was also made for man. Therefore, the bottom line is not in keeping the Sabbath, but in man who believe in God. So it is wrong  to blame a man for not keeping the Sabbath. But is this true?

  • The True Gospel

    The True Gospel

WMSCOG and true gospel–The word ‘gospel’ was originated from the Old English, which means good spell or good news. Since sinners on this earth who are destined to die can receive the forgiveness of sins and eternal life, how good news (or gospel) it is! That is why the very first thing Jesus did was preaching the gospel of the heaven.

Matthew 4:23  Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.

The Blessings Contained in the Gospel

WMSCOG and true gospel–Then why is the gospel so important? It is because all the promises of God for our salvation is contained in the gospel. And special blessing are given to the gospel workers.

Ephesians 3: 4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

First, through the gospel the Gentiles, who were once not considered as God’s people, can be the people of God and they can be heirs of God who can inherit the kingdom of heaven; and also they can become the members of the body whose head is the Christ and they can become one body with Christ; and finally, they can share the promise of God, that is, the eternal life in Christ. Since the gospel is such an important task, God allows this gospel work only to the people who he has chosen and he also guaranteed salvation for the gospel workers.

Philipphians 4: 2  I plead with Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.

    The True Gospel

WMSCOG and true gospel–Since the gospel contains such great blessings, many people who believe in God want to work for the gospel and also there are many Christians who proudly call themselves as gospel workers, preaching a gospel with a sincere heart and genuine mind. However, what we have to make sure is what the true gospel is, not a gospel. However diligently and fervently may we work, if we do not preach the true gospel, what good it may bring to us. All the effort and work would be meaningless and futile. More significantly, it can bring us a punishment rather than reward for preaching a false gospel. For these and other reasons we have to know what the true gospel is before we preach a gospel. Then what is the true gospel? Is the Sunday worship the true gospel? Or is the Christmas the gospel?

Since the true gospel was preached by Jesus and his disciples, we have to look at their testimonies to find out what true gospel is. Since most people who are working for the gospel today consider themselves as the believers of and workers for Jesus Christ, it is natural for us to look at the teaching of Jesus in the bible. Luckly enough Christ and disciples left enough evidences to make us sure of what the gospel is. The most fervent gospel worker was Paul, who was even ready to sacrifice his own life for the gospel. By looking at the work he was doing, we can surely confirm what the gospel is. Then what was he working for?

Colossians 1:23 if you continue in your faith, established and firm, and do not move from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant

Paul testifies that there was a gospel which was proclaimed to every creature and he was working for the gospel as servant or minister in King James Version. Let us take a look at a mated verse to find out exactly what he was working for.

2 Corinthians 3:6  He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life

In this verse, he says that he is working for a new covenant as minister. Did he had many different works or ministries that he was doing as worker of Christ? No, he was working for one thing: preaching the gospel of good news of the kingdom of heaven like Christ who he was following. Then if he was working for just one thing, what can we say the true gospel is? The true gospel is the new covenant that he was working for as minister. Then what is the new covenant?

The True Gospel, the New Covenant of the Passover

WMSCOG and true gospel–To find out the new covenant we must look at the teachings of Christ. What was the new covenant given to the disciples to preach to all the creatures of the earth?

Luke 22:19  14 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. 15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. … 19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

On the night of the Passover, Jesus and his disciples kept the Passover and on the night of the Passover he established the new covenant. He gave bread as his body which was to be crucified on the cross, and he gave wine as his blood that he would shed for the forgiveness of sins of people. By eating and drinking the Passover we can receive the flesh and blood of Christ for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life which is the promise of God in the gospel too. Therefore, the true gospel is the Passover of the New Covenant.

Let us confirm this through the blessings of the gospel. Paul said that we can receive a lot of blessings through the gospel. First, even though we are once a Gentile, we can be heirs of God. What is the Passover? The Passover is a ceremony through which we can receive the flesh and blood of Christ and become His children. Just as a child has the flesh and blood of his physical parents, God’s chidren must have the flesh and blood of God. Even though once we were Gentiles, once we keep the Passover and receives the flesh and blood of God, then we can become God’s children and as children the heirs of God. Second, just as through the gospel we can become one body with Christ, through the Passover we can become one body with Christ as member of the same body.

1 Corinthians 10:16   16 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.

How can we take part in the body and blood of Christ? It is through the Passover and Paul says when we keep the Passover, we can become one body in Christ even though we are many. And the third blessing of God in the gospel was the sharer of the promise of God. The promise of God to children is the eternal life. (1 John 2:25) And this eternal life is actually given through the Passover of the new covenant.

John 6:53  53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

How does Jesus grant eternal life to the disciples? Through his flesh and blood. Then what was the way for us to take part in his flesh and blood? Through the Passover. Therefore, the Passover of the new covenant is the way we can have the promise of God, eternal life. And through all these things we can be sure that the true gospel is the new covenant of Passover.

    Words of Eternal Life
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6:54)

The Fate of Those Who Preach A Different Gospel

WMSCOG and true gospel–This much clearly the bible says the true gospel is the Passover of the new covenant and this new covenant was the work Paul was doing in Christ. Then without having the Passover which is the core of the new covenant, is it possible to say that I am preaching the gospel? No. Preaching the gospel without the Passover is meaningless. And the gospel they are preaching is not the true gospel at all, rather it is a false gospel. God said that he would punish the people who are preaching a false gospel because they are doing something detestable in the eyes of God

2 Thessalonians 1:6   God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction.

Galatians 1:6  6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! 9 As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!

What does he say about people who are following or preaching a different gospel which is no gospel? They will be punished and cursed by God. The good news they have been preaching and following actually turn out to be a horrible news for them in the time of a rude awakening. Let us think this seriously if we trust in the words of God and believe in Jesus Christ. Did Jesus and disciples preach the Christmas? Did Jesus and disciples attend the Sunday worship service? Did Jesus and disciples carry literally cross and put crosses on and around their church? Did they keep the Easter with bunnies and decorated eggs? Did they dress like Santa Claus and gave gift to the kids?

     Conclusion

WMSCOG and true gospel–God gave mission to preach the gospel of the new covenant to save the souls, but there are so many who are working to destroy the souls of people. We should have spiritual eyes to distinguish what is true or not. Otherwise, just as Jesus said we might fall into a pit along with others who were blindly following false things.

In these last days to save us and give us eteranl life, Christ Ahnsahnghong came and restored the new covenant of the Passover which was abolished by the work of Satan in 325 AD. He opened the way to eternal life and salvation again. And Heavenly Mother Jerusalem who is the reality of the new covenant came to give us eternal life. Even though once we were following false things out of ignorance, now we must turn our evil ways and come back to God, following the true gospel.
