  • God’s Promise in the Passover: Eternal Life

God’s Promise in the Passover: Eternal Life

    Passover and Eternal Life

The Passover of the new covenant contains many promises of God. First, it promises the forgiveness of the sins people committed in heaven as angels as I have shown in the previous article, titled “God’s promise in the Passover: Forgiveness of sins”.

Today, we are going to another important promise of God contained in the Passover, that is, the promise of “eternal life”.

    Christ Coming for Eternal Life

According to the bible Christ came down to this earth to free us from the slavery of sin and death and to give us eternal life in heaven. This is the essence of the teachings of God in the bible. Then how does God grant eternal life to his people?

    CANAAN AND PASSOVER

    Passover and Freedom from Slavery

The answer can be found in the Old Testament through the work of God’s salvation for the physical Jews in the time of Moses. In those days, God’s people were under the slavery of Egypt going through many hardships and sufferings. They constantly prayed to God for the freedom. And God listened to their prayers and he sent his Prophet Moses to lead his people from the slavery.

Exodus 7:4 4 he will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and with mighty acts of judgment I will bring out my divisions, my people the Israelites. 5 And the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring the Israelites out of it.

According to these words of God, God sent Egyptians ten plagues and finally the people of Israel could be set free from the slavery. Before the last and greatest plague, that is, the plague of the first-borns, God commanded the Israelites to keep the Passover so that they could be saved from the last disaster. God promised that the blood of the Passover Lamb would be the sign between God and his people so that they would be recognized as people who belonged to God. Through this blood of the Passover Lamb they could be protected from the plague and finally receive the freedom from the slavery.

    The Jews: Inward and Outward

The bible teaches that the work of Moses and the Israel people were given as copy and shadow to teach us what is going to be done in the last days for God’s people who are under the spiritual slavery of sin and death.

Hebrews 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.

According to the bible, all the people on earth are the people of God or Israelites in the spiritual sense.

Romans 2:28 A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code.

Spiritual Slavery of Sin and Death

In this sense, all the people are the Jews, that is, God’s people. They once lived in heaven as angels in the presence of God as Job and King Solomon testifies. (Proverbs 8:30) However, because of their sins of rebellion against God in heaven, they were driven out and cast down to this earth which is a spiritual prison. And they are living in this prison as slaves of sin and death.

Jesus teaches us that we all are under the slavery of sin and death through the sins.

John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33 They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” 34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

    All Men Are Sinners

The bible teaches us that we all are sinners (Psalms 14:3), and because of the sins the wages of sins—death—came to all men. (Romans 5:12) In short, we are all under the slavery of sin and death.

As Paul says, we all want to do what is righteous but because of the sin living in us we cannot do what we intend to do. All men are living as slaves to sin and destined to go through the agony of death.

Romans 7:21 So I find this law at work: Although I want to do good, evil is right there with me. 22 For in my inner being I delight in God’s law; 23 but I see another law at work in me, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within me. 24 What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!

Freedom From Sin and Death Through the Passover

Then how can we set free from this spiritual slavery of sin and death? The bible shows us the answer through the work and life of Moses and the Israelites. The Israel people who were living as slaves of Egypt could be set free by keeping the Passover.

Likewise, the freedom from the spiritual slavery of sin and death is also in keeping the Passover. As we have already seen in the verse above (John 8:32), Jesus said that we can be set free through “the truth”. Also in another verse Jesus teaches that the Son would set them free. (John 8:36) Therefore, we can conclude that we can be set free from the slavery of sin and death through the truth or the words of God which comes from the Son that is Jesus himself. Then what was teaching of Jesus given to us for the freedom from the sin?

    Passover, Truth of Spiritual Freedom

Freedom From Sins Through the Passover

Jesus teaches that we can be set free from the slavery of sins and death through the Passover, the new covenant. On the night of the Passover, while eating the Passover Supper, Jesus sealed the Passover with a promise, that is, the promise of the forgiveness of sins.

Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

Through this promise of Jesus, we can understand that the truth that gives us freedom is the Passover. Through the Passover we can be set free from the slavery of sins through the forgiveness promised in the Passover.

Freedom From Death Through the Passover

Since our sins are cancelled through the Passover, naturally the sentence of death caused by sins would be removed from us too through the Passover. Jesus taught about this freedom from death through the Passover in the Book of John.

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Jesus teaches us that we can receive the eternal life or the freedom from death by eating his flesh and blood.. Then what was the way we could eat his flesh and blood? It is through the Passover. The Passover bread signifies his flesh or body and the Passover wine his blood.

    Conclusion

Now we can know how to be set free from the slavery of sin and death. It is through the Passover. Through the Promise of God sealed in the Passover, we can receive the forgiveness of sins and be set free from the slavery of sins and death.

In the next article, I would like to talk about another promise of God in the Passover, the inheritance of Canaan, or the Kingdom of Heaven. I hope that everybody realize the blessings contained in the Passover and keep it so that we can receive the promise of God through the Passover.

  • Hidden Manna and Salvation

    Hidden Manna and Salvation

Hidden Manna And Salvation–The bible says that people of God who are living in the life of agony and death will receive salvation and go to the heavenly country. For this reason, as people of God we have to know who our God the Savior is and how does He give us salvation.

To understand the work of salvation of God we have to have the knowledge of the bible. And the bible says God gives his people salvation through the manna, the bread from heaven.

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
    Bread from Heaven

    Manna, Bread From Heaven

Hidden Manna And Salvation–When the Israelites were walking in the desert for 40 years, they were lacking nothing. It is unbelievable considering the number of people who were walking in the desert. Since patriarchs were 600,000, the number of people including all other family members could have been easily over 2 million. How could they survive in the desert?

At the beginning of the journey, when the Israelites cried out to God for the lack of water and food, God promised them that He would “rain down bread from heaven” that they may live on it. They named the bread “manna.” (Ex 16:4, 31)

Nehemiah 9:15  In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

Manna means “bread from heaven” which God gave the Israelites in the desert so that they can feed on it. Through this bread they could gain life in the desert. God called this manna as “glory of the Lord,” (Ex 16:7) because God was giving them life or salvation in the desert.

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
    Gathering Manna in the wilderness

Spiritual Manna, True Bread From Heaven

Hidden Manna And Salvation–The bible says that what was done in the Old Testament was a copy and shadow which foreshadowed what would be done in the New Testament. Just as there are physical Israelites, there are also the spiritual Israelites. (Rom 2:28) The physical Jews walked in the physical desert. Their life was hard and difficult because many things were lacking. In the same way, as spiritual Jews we are living in the spiritual desert of faith where we face hardships and difficulties all the time.

In the life of desert, God gave Israelites manna, bread from heaven for their life. And the bible teaches that God would give spiritual manna to us who are living in the life of faith in the spiritual desert. Then what is the spiritual bread that we must eat to receive salvation? And who is the one who can give the spiritual manna for our salvation? In the desert, manna was the representation of the glory of God. Also God said that he would not yield his glory to anyone. (Isa 42:8) Therefore, the only one who can show the glory of God is only God himself. This means that it is only God who can give manna (the glory of God) to people.

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
    Passover and Manna

    Jesus Giving Spiritual Manna

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Then who gave the spiritual manna to the people of God? 2000 years ago, Jesus came down to the people of God and gave them manna for their salvation. In the Book of John, Jesus taught his disciples that he is the bread from heaven or manna that they must eat to receive life. Jews of the time sought a sign from Jesus so that they could know that he was the Messiah or Savior. As the sign of Savior, specifically, they asked him to give them “the bread from heaven” that could give them life.

In answer to their request, Jesus taught them that he could give them manna the true bread from heaven that would give them eternal life.

John 6:32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”…..35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. … 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
Jesus’ flesh and blood, Spiritual Manna

Bread From Heaven For Eternal Life

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Jesus said that he is the bread from heaven and whoever ate the bread would live forever. And also he taught them how to eat the bread from heaven, the spiritual manna.

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Through these teachings of Jesus Christ, we can know that he was the spiritual manna the bread from heaven. And by eating his flesh and blood, we can eat manna for the spiritual life. As we have seen in many other different places, the only way we can eat his flesh and drink his blood is the Passover bread and wine. The Passover is actually the ceremony of eating spiritual manna for the eternal life in heaven. And Jesus was God himself who came down to this earth to shine the glory of salvation through the spiritual manna. (Isa 42:8)

    Hidden Manna And Salvation

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Even though Jesus shone the glory of God through the Passover 2000 years ago, the light of glory of God was taken away from people in 325 AD. At the Council of Nicaea, Emperor Constantine abolished the Passover and replaced the Passover with a pagan custom of Easter in the excuse of commemorating Jesus’ resurrection. Because of this event, the manna became hidden and people could not eat the manna or the bread from heaven to receive eternal life.

However, the bible says that this hidden manna would be revealed in the last day to give us salvation again. Then who would bring this manna? It is Christ only who can bring the manna. It has always been God who could bring the light of salvation just like Jehovah in the Old Testament and Jesus 2000 years ago. And it would be the same in the last days. The Jesus would come back the second time to bring salvation. (Heb 9:28) Then how would he bring salvation? By restoring the manna or the Passover so that we can receive eternal life.

Revelation 2:17  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

Christ teaches us that in the last day he would come back again with a new name. And also he would bring the manna back and give it to the people of God who are victorious.

    Hidden Manna and Christ Ahnsahnghong

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Then according to the prophecies of the bible who brought back this manna again to us. If we look at the history of the church, there were some churches that restored a certain part of the truth. After the reformation, the baptism and the Sabbath got restored. But nobody could restore the lost truth of the new covenant Passover and other festivals of God. The reason is obvious. It is because this can be done by Christ or God who is coming as man in the flesh can do according to the prophecies of the bible.

The glory of God’s salvation can be revealed by God himself only. Finally, in 1964 people started to keep the Passover in the “World Mission Society Church Of God” or aka, “WMSCOG,” “Church Of God”. Then how could they keep the Passover? It was because one man restored the Passover of the new covenant. He was Christ Ahnsahnghong. Then who would Christ Ahnsahnghong be who revealed the glory of God through the hidden manna? He is none other than God himself. Even though he appeared as man for the second time, he is God who came to bring us salvation. (Isa 25:6-9)

Now let us keep the Passover by accepting the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong. The Passover is the ceremony through which we can eat the hidden manna, the flesh of Christ which God gave for the life of his people. And also let us realize that God the Mother is the reality of the manna, Christ’s flesh and blood. And she is the spiritual Eve who is the Mother of all the living who can give us eternal life.

  • What is “LIFE” in the bible?

What is “LIFE” in the bible?

Eve, Reality of LIfe–Just as life is important for each of us physically, the spiritual life is the same. Especially, the spiritual life or the eternal life is essential for our salvation. What we do not realize is how to receive the spiritual life? And who is the source of life? Let us find out what “life” is in the bible.

    Our Spiritual Status

Eve, Reality of LIfe–The reason life is important to us is because we do not have life in us. The bible teaches everyone on this earth is destined to die because of our sins. Nobody is free from this fate of sin and death.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

Because of the sin of Adam, death entered into the world to all men. Through this we can understand that the sin of Adam was written to us to teach us the sins we committed in heaven. And because of our sins we got banished from heaven (the garden of Eden) and came to this earth.

Jesus’ Teaching About The Spiritually Dead

Eve, Reality of LIfe–Jesus teaches us that we do not have eternal life in us too.

Matthew 8:21 21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” 22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” (NIV)

Matthew 8:21 21 Another of his disciples said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.” 22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead. (NLT)

In this verse, Jesus teaches that people living in this world are actually ‘the dead’ in the spiritual sense.  The dead mean they do not have ‘LIFE’ in them. That is, they do not have ‘eternal life’ in them. Then how can we have life in us? How can we be the living in the spiritual sense?

The Way To Have “LIFE” in Us

Eve, Reality of LIfe–Then how can we have life in us? Christ teaches that we must eat his flesh and drink his blood to have life.

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.

Jesus says that without his flesh and blood in us we cannot have “LIFE” in us. Therefore, through this words of God, we can see that the only way to have “LIFE” in us is by eating his flesh and drinking his blood. “Unless” means that there is no other way. Consequently, to have “LIFE” in us we must eat his flesh and drink his blood. His flesh and blood is “LIFE” itself.

John 6:54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

By eating his flesh and drinking his blood we can have “life” in us.

The Reality Of Jesus’ Flesh and Blood

Eve, Reality of LIfe–Then what is the way we participate in the flesh and blood of Jesus? To get the answer for this question is to know the reality of his flesh and blood? According to the bible, Jesus is spiritual Adam. Unlike Adam, who brought the death into the world, however, Jesus is an anti-type of Adam, who can bring “LIFE” into the world.

Romans 5:14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who is a pattern of the one to come (Christ).

Spiritually, Adam signifies the one to come or the Christ who would come to bring “LIFE” to us. The spiritual Adam, Jesus said that we must eat his flesh and blood to have life. Since Jesus is the spiritual Adam, to know the reality of Jesus’ flesh and blood first we have know Adam’s flesh and blood.

    Adam's Flesh and Blood Eve
Orvieto, Exterior of the Duomo: Creation of Eve

    Adam’s Flesh and Blood

Eve, Reality of LIfe–Then what is Adam’s flesh and blood? In the Book of Genesis, God already foretold the flesh and blood of Adam. By studying the physical Adam in the book, we can know the Christ, who is the spiritual Adam. And also we can know the reality of Christ’s flesh and blood. Then what is Adam’s flesh and blood? And how is it related to “LIFE” that Jesus would give?

Genesis 2:20 But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”

This is the creation of EVE. When Eve was created, Adam testified that Eve is his flesh and blood. “Bone of my Bones” means that Eve was Adam’s blood. The bone contains marrow which produces blood. Therefore, Adam’s rib bone represents Adam’s blood God used in creating Eve. Also God used Adam’s flesh in creating Eve.

Eve, The Reality of Adam’s Flesh and Blood

Eve, Reality of LIfe–Through these verses, we can see the reality of Adam’s flesh and blood, Eve. Then why did God created Eve? We can know the purpose of God in creating Eve through the name Eve itself. Eve means “LIFE”.

Definition of Eve: The verb חיה (haya) means to live or have life, or to give or restore life; quickening or revive, nourish or refresh. This very important root-verb obviously occurs all over the Bible. (From Abarim Publications)

Adam’s flesh and blood, Eve means “LIFE”. Through this story of Adam, God is teaching us the reality of LIFE we must know to have eternal life. Jesus said that his flesh and blood is life. Then what is the reality of Jesus’ flesh and blood? It represents “the spiritual Eve” who would appear to give us life.

    Christ’s Wife: Spiritual Eve

Eve, Reality of LIfe–According to the bible, the spiritual Eve would appear along with spiritual Adam (Christ) in the last days to give us eternal life.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

Just as God created Eve (LIFE) to give life to children, the spiritual Eve (Christ’s wife) would appear to give the water of life or simply LIFE. Then who is this wife of Christ we must meet for life in the last day?

Revelation 21:9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the Holy City, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God.

    Heavenly Jerusalem: God the Mother

Eve, Reality of LIfe–John said that the wife of Christ the spiritual Adam is the heavenly Jerusalem that come from heaven to this earth as the bride of Christ. So we can see the Heavenly Jerusalem is the spiritual Eve or LIFE we must meet to have life in the last days. Then who is this heavenly Jerusalem?

Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.

The bible teaches that the heavenly Jerusalem is Our Mother, in other words, God the Mother who appears as the reality of LIFE in the last days.

    Conclusion

Eve, Reality of LIfe–As the spiritually dead, people on this earth do not have LIFE in us. 2000 years ago, Jesus said that his flesh and blood is the LIFE we must have in us to receive eternal life. Actually, that teaching was given to us to reveal God the Mother, the reality of Jesus’ flesh and blood who would come to this earth as the reality of LIFE in the last day.

Now to fulfill the prophecies of the bible the spiritual Eve God the Mother appeared to us. She is the reality of LIFE we must receive to have eternal life. Jesus said “Unless you eat my flesh and drink my blood, you have no LIFE in you.” This means unless we receive the reality of Jesus’s flesh and blood, God the Mother, we cannot have LIFE in us.” It is because God the Mother is the LIFE itself who came to give us life.

  • [WMSCOG] Remain In Me And I In You

Today let us think about how we can remain in God. Jesus taught his disciples about the importance of remaining in God. One day Jesus who was the master for the disciples brought a water basin and started to wash the feet of the disciples. Peter who believed Jesus to be God who came as man in the flesh could not let Jesus wash his feet who are a mere sinner. So he rejected what Jesus was trying to do to him, and said that Jesus should not wash his feet because it is a servile work belonging to a servant.

Jn 13:8   “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!

When Jesus said that he who did not wash his feet had nothing to do with him, Peter was alarmed because he wanted to have every part with Christ so he immediately changed his thought and asked Jesus to wash his head and body as well as feet if that is that much important. Sharing a part with someone who is important to you is natural for both of them. That is why Peter more than anything else wanted to share every part with Christ. This is also a teaching of Christ too. He taught us that if we are the disciples of Christ, we must share everything with him. And we should be completely one with Christ by sharing everything with Christ.

John 15:4   Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Jesus emphasized over and over again that God’s people must remain in him and then they can bear much fruit and give glory to God. If they do not remain in him, they are like dead branches which would be thrown into fire. It means to receive salvation we must remain in Christ and Christ must remain in us. When we remain in God we can receive abundant blessings from God just as a branch can receive a lot of water and nutrients from the vine when it remain in the vine. Then how can we have Christ in us?

1 John 2:24   As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.

How can we remain in Christ and Christ in us? Christ said we must have in us what we have heard from the beginning. Then what was it that the disciples heard from the beginning?

1 John 2:7   Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard.

What is the thing that they had already heard and known even from the beginning? What they had already heard is “the message” or the commands of God which Jesus taught them. Therefore, to remain in Christ, we must remain in the words of God and the words of God remain in us. Then we can remain in Christ.

1 John 3:24   The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Therefore, it is the words of God that must remain in us and if we remain in the words of God by obeying the words, then we can remain in God and God in us. Then what is the commands of God we must have in us? In the past, God gave the old covenant to the physical Israelites, but for the spiritual Israelites God gave a new covenant. The new covenant is the words of God that must remain in us and we must remain in by obeying it.

Jeremiah 31:31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenantwith the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
    because they broke my covenant,
    though I was a husband to[d] them,[e]”
    declares the Lord.
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
I will put my law in their minds    and write it on their hearts.I will be their God,    and they will be my people.

The law of God that we must remain in and that must remain in us is the new covenant and through the new covenant we can become God’s people who can receive salvation. Therefore, the message we already heard which should remain in us is the word of God in the new covenant. When the new covenant is in us, we can remain in God and God in us. Let us confirm how God remain in us through the new covenant.

Luke 22:19   And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

On the night of the Passover, Jesus gave bread and wine which symbolizes his flesh and blood and he established the new covenant through his flesh and blood. Then why did he give the new covenant of the Passover? Through the new covenant Christ can remain in us and we can remain in Christ.

John 6:53   Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

What is the promise of Christ in the new covenant? Through the new covenant of the Passover, his flesh and blood can remain in his people and his people can remain in Christ because they belongs to Christ through his flesh and blood. By eating his flesh and blood we can become his people and he gives eternal life to everyone who belongs to him. This is the blessing of the new covenant. Through the new covenant we can have everything with Christ and we can become one body with Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:17) Since we are one with Christ, just as God put his Spirit in Christ, God will put his Holy Spirit in us too who have become one with Christ. And through the Spirit in us we can have eternal life.

John 6:63    The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

In conclusion the words of God is the Spirit that gives life. And to those who heard the words of God and obeyed his commands, God puts his Spirit in them and they can remain in God and God in them. And the words that we must have in us is the words of God in the new covenant. When we keep the Passover of the new covenant, Christ’s flesh and blood (or the word of God) can remain in us and through the words of God in us we can receive salvation, the eternal life. This mysterious work of God’s salvation is hidden in the new covenant of the Passover. Therefore, we must keep the new covenant of the Passover.

Even though there is no other church on this earth which keeps the new covenant of the Passover according to all the regulations of the Passover, there is only one church which keeps the truth of the new covenant including the feet washing ceremony which Peter rejected to receive at first. This is the World Mission Society Church of God or WMSCOG, which was established by the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong. He restored the new covenant of the Passover so that his people can remain in him and him in them. And he let us know the true reality of the new covenant, the Heavenly Jerusalem our Mother who is the true source of eternal life. Let us keep the new covenant of the Passover by obeying the words of God so that we may remain in God bearing many fruits. Amen
