The Priest of God Melchizedek signifies Christ who was to come. There is a clear connection between Melchizedek and Christ. Therefore, the bible testifies Christ as Melchizedek.
Hebrews 5:8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
Why is Christ called Melchizedek? What is the connection between them? In the Old Testament, the high priest of God Melchizedek blessed Abraham—who is the representation of the people of God—with bread and wine. (Genesis 14:17) In those days, the high priest worshiped God and mediated between God and His people by offering animal sacrifice.
It was only Melchizedek who blessed God’s people with bread and wine. It was the same 2000 years with Jesus Christ who came as spiritual and prophetical Melchizedek. In the time of Jesus, the high priest in the Order of Aaron mediated between God and the Israelites according to the Law of Moses by sacrificing animals as burnt offering to God for the forgiveness of sins of people.
And it was only Jesus Christ who blessed God’s people with the bread and wine of the Passover for the forgiveness of sins of people.
Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
For this reason, the bible testifies that Jesus Christ was the high priest in the Order of Melchizedek, not Aaron.
Hebrews 7:11 If perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood—and indeed the law given to the people established that priesthood—why was there still need for another priest to come, one in the order of Melchizedek, not in the order of Aaron? 12 For when the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also. 13 He of whom these things are said belonged to a different tribe, and no one from that tribe has ever served at the altar. 14 For it is clear that our Lord descended from Judah, and in regard to that tribe Moses said nothing about priests. 15 And what we have said is even more clear if another priest like Melchizedek appears, 16 one who has become a priest not on the basis of a regulation as to his ancestry but on the basis of the power of an indestructible life.
Apostle Paul clearly states that Jesus was not born in the tribe of Levi to fulfill the priesthood in the Order of Aaron. Rather Christ was born from the tribe of Judah, in which there was no mention of a priest ever in the Law of Moses. Therefore, the priesthood of Jesus was completely different from that of the Levites. Considering all these things, we can conclude the signature trait of Jesus as a high priest is the bread and wine, which was the symbol of Melchizedek. That is why Jesus was prophetical Melchizedek.
And the bible testifies that the same Christ would come again in the last days for the second time.
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
When he comes for the second time to give us salvation, then how can we recognize him? Through the connection between the Christ and Melchizedek, we can know the answer. When Christ comes again, we can know him through the symbol of Melchizedek: the bread and wine of the Passover which give us the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. With the bread and wine of the Passover, he is granting salvation to the people of God.
Even though we may not know who the Second Coming Christ is—where he comes from, what would be his name, and in what appearance he would appear, the prophecies of the bible clearly tells us that whoever brings the bread and wine of the Passover is the Christ who was to come. It is because only the Christ who is coming as spiritual Melchizedek can bring back the Passover. Today, who brought back the Passover which had been abolished for over 1600 years since 325 AD. It is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Then who is Christ Ahsahnghong according to the prophecies of the bible? He is the Second Coming Christ and our God who gives us salvation.
We must give thanks to him and rejoice for the salvation he grants to sinners who were once destined to be put to eternal death.
The bible testifies that the Christ who appeared 2000 years ago will come again for the second time in the last days for our salvation. (Hebrews 9:28) When he came for the first time, it was not easy for people to recognize him and receive him because he hid all the spiritual glory behind the flesh.
In the same way, when he comes for the second time again as man in the flesh, it would not be easy for people to recognize him. He would come to his people, but his people would not know who he is. Instead of the glory of God, they would only see the physical appearance of the second coming Christ.
Then how can we know the glory of God hidden behind the curtain of his flesh and know he is the one whom we have been waiting for?
Jesus’ Eternal Priesthood
The Order of Aaron
2000 years ago, Jesus came as high priest in the Order of Melchizedek. Before Jesus, the priesthood was given to the descendants of Aaron and it was called the priesthood in the Order of Aaron. According to the Law of Moses, which was the principal foundation of the Order of Aaron, a priest could mediate between God and God’s people through the animal sacrifice by shedding the blood of the animal.
However, the bible says that the Order of Aaron was only the copy and the shadow for the reality accomplished through the Christ.
The Order of Melchizedek
Unlike the priesthood in the Order of Aaron, Christ came as the high priest in the Order of Melchizedek. As the high priest in the Order of Melchizedek Christ blessed his people with the bread and wine of the Passover so that we can be forgiven for our sins and receive the blessings of eternal life.
Christ came as the high priest in the Order of Melchizedek, and he gave up his flesh and blood as sacrifice to God instead of an animal sacrifice as it was practiced in the Order of Aaron in the old covenant. And the bible says that the priesthood in the Order of Melchizedek will last forever and it will not be changed anymore.
Eternal Priesthood
Psalm 110:4 The Lord has sworn and will not change his mind: “You are a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.”
In the Book of Hebrews Apostle Paul says that the priesthood in the Order of Melchizedek will last forever and God accomplishes the complete and eternal salvation through the priesthood of Melchizedek.
Hebrews 5:8 Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
Unlike the priesthood of Aaron in which the high priesthood changed many times because of death of the high priest and unlike the animals sacrificed in the priesthood which should be renewed whenever it was offered for they needed another animal for the sacrifice, the priesthood of Christ was eternal because there is no change in the high priesthood (because the Christ is eternal). Also in this priesthood, there is no need of another sacrifice because Christ completed the sacrifice by offering his body once and for all.
The Priesthood of the Second Coming Christ
Therefore, when the Second Coming Christ comes, he must appear as the high priest in the Order of Melchizedek, the unchanging priesthood of God. Jesus Christ gave up his body once for the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
On the night of the Passover, he gave his disciples bread and wine of the Passover, which represent his flesh and blood. Just as Melchizedek blessed Abraham with bread and wine, Jesus blessed his people with bread and wine of the Passover. Jesus truly completed the Order of Aaron.
When Jesus comes for the second time for the salvation, he must come again as the high priest in the Order of Melchizedek.
Christ Ahnsahnghong The Second Coming Christ
The symbol of Melchizedek “the bread and wine” of the Passover disappeared during the Dark Age. In this state no one could receive the blessings of salvation. For this reason, Christ must come again as high priest in the Order of Melchizedek and restore the new covenant Passover the symbol of Melchizedek.
Today even though there are many different churches and religious leaders of many congregations, nobody could bring the bread and wine of the Passover and restored the priesthood of Melchizedek for the salvation of God’s people. It was only Christ Ahnsahnghong who restored the new covenant Passover. Therefore, we can surely say that he is the high priest in the Order of Mechizedek. He is the second coming Christ who can give eternal salvation to his people.
Melchizedek Ahnsanghong–We have already seen that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies of Melchizedek by bringing the bread and wine of the Passover which were the symbols of Melchizedek and giving us the blessings of forgiveness of sins and eternal life. But the bible says the complete fulfillment of the prophecies about Melchizedek would be fulfilled in the last days when Christ is coming for the second time to give us the salvation. Just like other prophecies of the bible, the prophecies of Melchizedek must be carried out by the Second Coming Christ.
More Prophecies of Melchizedek
Even though Jesus fulfilled the Order of Melchizedek by coming as high priest in the Order of Melchizedek and granting eternal life through the bread and wine of the Passover which represent his flesh and blood, the bible says this was not the complete fulfillment.
Hebrews 5:11 We have much to say about this, but it is hard to make it clear to you because you no longer try to understand. 12 In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food!
“this” in this context means “Mechizedek” because he was explaining about Jesus fulfilling the prophecies of Melchizedek from Verse 1 to 10. But he says he cannot explain everything about Melchizedek 2000 years ago because the prophecies of Melchizedek contains some hard things that could not be properly explained at that time. So he says the time would come that saints of God must learn the prophecy from the beginning again as baby who eat milk, not the solid food. Then what prophecies were hard to understand at that time and remain unfulfilled? Then when would those prophecies be fulfilled?
melchizedek-blessing-abraham Who is True Melchizedek? Hebrews 7:1 This Melchizedek was king of Salem and priest of God Most High. He met Abraham returning from the defeat of the kings and blessed him, 2 and Abraham gave him a tenth of everything. First, the name Melchizedek means “king of righteousness”; then also, “king of Salem” means “king of peace.” 3 Without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.
And finally, in Chapter 7 of the same book he reveals more characteristics of Melchizedek which were hard to explain at that time. We have already seen that Melchizedek was the priest of God who blessed Abraham with the offerings of “bread and wine.” And we can see that he is actually God himself since it is only God who can be told to be “without beginning of days or end of life.” But still there are two more characteristics about Melchizedek which have not been fully explained until this time: that is, “without father or mother” and “without genealogy.” Therefore, let us think about these characteristics a little bit more.
Without Father or Mother
First, what is the meaning of “without father or mother”? Nobody on this earth can be born without father or mother. According to the providence of God everything on this earth such as animals, birds, fish, plants, including human beings must be given life through father and mother. That is why Jesus was born through a family system when he came down to this earth even though he was God himself who could have appeared without going through those cumbersome processes.
Therefore, “without father or mother” must have some hidden meaning like all the words of God in the bible. Then what is the meaning of the phrase?
Matthew 12:46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47 Someone told him, “Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you.” 48 He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
At this scene the physical family members of Jesus was waiting outside, but he pointed his disciples and said, “These are my family because they are the ones who are doing the will of God.” Through this he was teaching us the true family are the spiritual family, not the physical family. So the true father, mother, brothers, or sisters are the ones who believe in God and follow God’s commands. In this sense, a physical father, mother, brothers or sisters who do not do the will of God are not considered as the true family members. Through this we can understand the meaning of “without father or mother.” It means that this Melchizedek must come from a family who do not believe in God or do the will of God. In other words he must come from a non-believing family members who do not believe in God.
Without Genealogy
The second characteristic of Melchizedek which has not been understood until now is “without genealogy.” In the bible, the genealogy or family ancestry is always that of Jews because the bible records the history of physical Jews. Therefore, without genealogy means, the true Melchizedek must come from outside the Jewish ancestry, which means he must come from a Gentile country. But if we look at Jesus with these two conditions of Melchizedek, things do not make sense. First, Jesus did not come from the family of non-believers; on the other hand, the bible describes the physical father and mother of Jesus was believers of God and considered as “righteous” in the eyes of God. (Matthew 1:19, Luke 1:28) Both of Jesus’ parents were believers of God. If not, how can they be deemed righteous by God and gained favors of God.
And also the second condition of Melchizedek, “without genealogy” does not match with Jesus Christ because he is clearly recorded as one from the Jewish genealogy and he did not come from a Gentile nation.
Matthew 1:1 This is the genealog of Jesus the Messiah the son of David, the son of Abraham: 2 Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers, …. 16 and Jacob the father of Joseph, the husband of Mary, and Mary was the mother of Jesus who is called the Messiah.
Through this genealogy, we can absolutely know that Jesus came from the Jewish ancestry and he HAD his part in the genealogy of the Jews.
The True Melchizedek Ahnsahnghong
Because of these reasons, Paul said that he wanted to teach more things about Melchizedek, but he could not because some things were hard to understand because those characteristics of Melchizedek did not match with Jesus. Even though he was the priest of God who blessed God’s people with “bread and wine,” the symbols of Melchizedek and he was God in the flesh, he could not completely fulfill the prophecies of Melchizedek because there were some prophecies which could not be explained through Jesus Christ. That is why to fulfill all the prophecies of the bible Christ must come again for the second time so that we know the complete truth and become grown-ups who can digest even solid foods too. The knowledge of the Melchizedek was not complete 2000 years ago, but it would be made perfect when he comes to fulfill the remaining prophecies.
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
Then when Christ appears a second time, how can we know who the Christ is? Let us take a look at all the requirements of Christ when he comes to fulfill the prophecies of the spiritual Melchizedek. First, he must come from a family of non-believers of God to fulfill the prophecy of “without father or mother.” And second, he must come from a Gentile nation which has nothing to do with the Jewish genealogy to fulfill the prophecy of “without genealogy.” And third, he must bring the bread and wine of the Passover to prove that he is the true Melchizedek. Then who fulfilled all these prophecies and appeared to us for the second time to give us salvation? It is Christ Ahnsahnghong.
He came from parents who did not believe in God and did not do the will of God. Therefore, they could not be considered as father or mother since they did not belong to the spiritual family of believers of God. Also, he came from the land of Korea, which has nothing to do with a Jewish genealogy to fulfill the prophecy of “without genealogy.” And most importantly, he brought back the bread and wine of the Passover, the true signs of Melchizedek, which was abolished 325 AD by the work of Satan. Therefore, we can surely say that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the true high priest in the Order of Melchizedek whose ministry is eternal and thus whose blessings are everlasting because he is God.
Passover and Second Coming Christ
The bible teaches that the one who restores the Passover is God who can give us eternal life.
Isaiah 25:6 On this mountain (Zion) the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. 7 On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; 8 he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken.
The Mountain of God is Zion (Isaiah 24:23). Since Zion is the place where God’s festivals are kept, the feast or banquet described in this prophecy must be one of the festivals of God. Then what is this festival? The thing prepared for this banquet reveals the nature of this festival. It is about the Passover since this festival is kept with “wine” and among all the festivals of God it is only the Passover which uses wine as main offering. And also the work of wine also tells us this must be the Passover. Because it is only the Passover wine which has power to destroy death and give us eternal life just as Jesus said, “Whoever eats my flesh (bread) and drinks my blood (wine) has eternal life and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Then what is this Passover? According to the bible Christ is the Melchizedek who would bring bread and wine of Passover. And therefore, the Passover must be kept two times first in the time of the first coming and second in his second coming. Then is this prophecy concerned about his first coming or second coming. We can get the answer from the characteristic of this wine used in the festivals: “Aged wine.” Aged wine is the wine which was kept hidden or stored in a secret place for a long time. So this is about the Passover which would be kept in the last day when it was brought back after long abolishment.
Jesus and Disciples kept the Passover with bread and wine according to the command of Christ and they could receive the forgiveness of sins and eternal life by the ministry of Jesus who fulfilled the Order of Melchizedek. But in 325 AD, the Passover was abolished by the Roman Emperor Constantine in the council of Nicaea. Since then nobody could receive the blessings of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. The wine of Passover has become kept hidden and stored for a long time until the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover though his ministry of the Order of Melchizedek.
Therefore, this prophecy is concerned about the Passover wine which would be restored in the last day after long abolishment. That is why this Passover wine is called “aged wine,” not just wine or new wine. Then who is the one who has the authroity and power to restore the Passover wine again in the last days?
Isaiah 25:9 In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”
In the book of Isaiah, God teaches us that it is God himself who restores the Passover and bringing salvation to his people. “Surely” or without any doubt, this is our God. Then who is Christ
Ahnsahnghong who restored the Passover of the New Covenant by giving us his flesh and blood through the bread and wine of Passover so that we can receive the blessings of the forgiveness and eternal life? Surely without any doubt he is our God “without the beginning of days or end of life.”
Conclusion
Through all these fulfillments of the prophecies we can surely say that Christ Ahnsahnghong is the true Melchizedek who came to this earth for the second time to complete the mission of Melchizedek so that we can be blessed in this last day. He gave us his flesh and blood for us so that we sinners could be forgiven our sins and recieve eternal life. The bible says about the people in the last days who will come to know the complete fulfillment of the prophecies of Melchizedek:
Hebrews 5:13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.
God wants us to know the truth by studying the complete fulfillment of the prophecies of the bible and to have complete knowledge to distinguish good from evil. All the prophecies of Melchizedek, David, Moses, etc were completely fulfilled by Christ Ahnsahnghong and now we must grow mature to know the true identity of Christ Ahnsahnghong even though he came as man in the flesh. With this knowledge we must say, “Surely Christ Ahnsahnghong is our God” as it is written in the bible.
And he let us know the true reality of flesh and blood of Christ, Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem. We should receive God the Father and God the Mother for our salvation. Amen.
In the previous post, we have seen the Melchizedek in the Old Testament. Then through this Melchizedek, what is it that God wanted to teach us? It is the Christ who was the true reality of the Melchizedek. Everything in the bible was given to us to teach us the Christ.
The Bible and the Christ
John 5:39 You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, 40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
Jesus said that everything written in the bible was given to teach us the Christ. In this sense, the bible contains all the information about the Christ who was to come to save us. But the Jews did not accept the Christ even though he came to fulfill the prophecies of the bible and standing right in front of them, teaching them the way to the kingdom of heaven. They refused to accept the Christ and they rejected their salvation.
If we look at the bible, the bible contains all the information of the coming of Christ: the place he was to be born, the place he would grow up, the place he would preach the gospel, the life he was to live. All these information was recorded in the bible as prophecies and when the prophecies are fulfilled at God’s appointed time by someone we can recognize him as the Christ who was to come.
Isaiah 48:3 I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass.
God foretold many things through the prophets of God through the bible and all the things recorded in the bible are supposed to “come to pass” when God acts at his appointed times. These are prophecies of God. Then what did God prophesied about through the prophets?
1 Peter 1:10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, 11 trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow.
The prophets of God received the prophecies through the Holy Spirit and they were showing “the Messiah” who is coming and all the information about his coming such as “the tiem and circumstances” so that we can correctly recognize the Messiah or Christ who comes fulfilling all the prophecies of God like Jesus 2000 years ago.
Christ Appearing As Mechizedek
One of the prophecies of the bible about the Christ was his coming as Mechizedek. Even though there were many important figures in the Old Testament, God chose Melchizedek, who was recorded briefly in a passing way to teach us about the Christ coming to fulfill the work of Melchizedek. As we have already examined before, Melchizedek in the Old Testament was given as type for Christ would come to do the work of Melchizedek.
Let us think about the characteristics of Melchizedek one more time one by one. First, Melchizedek was the priest of God who blessed Abraham or God’s people with bread and wine, rather animal sacrifices performed by the priests of God following the Order of Aaron as it was written in the Law of Moses. Therefore, the most unique and important characteristic which distinguises Melchizedek from all other priests of God is this offering of “bread and wine.” And we can say that “bread and wine” is the symbol of the true Melchizedek. The priest who is appearing as Melchizedek must bring the bread and wine so that we can know who the spiritual Melchizedek is. In this way, we can know the Christ or Messiah who is coming as Melchizedek.
The Signs of Melchizedek: Bread and Wind of Passover
Then who came as Melchizedek and blessed God’s people to receive salvation? This prophecy of Melchizedek was fulfilled by Jesus Christ. Let us find out the reason why Jesus is the spiritual Melchizedek. 2000 years ago Jesus came as high priest to mediate between God and his people so that they can receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life. What we should look at in the ministry of Jesus as high priest is the offerings he was presenting to God for the blessing. He did not sacrifice animals according to the Law of Moses following the Order of Aaron. But he blessed his people with “bread and wine” of Passover.
Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup (of wine), and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
What was the offering he used to give the blessing of “the forgiveness of sins”? Bread and wine. Then who used bread and wine to give blessing to Abraham who represents God’s people? Mechizedek. Then who is the spiritual Melchizedek who fulfilled the prophecies of Melchizedek? Jesus. Therefore, we can say that Jesus is Melchizedek. The ceremony which Jesus and disciples were keeping was called the Passover. (Matthew 26:17)
Through this Passover bread and wine he gave the forgiveness of sins and also granted eternal life, the true salvation we are waiting for.
John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh (bread) and drinks my blood (wine) has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
Through the bread and wine of the Passover which represent Jesus’ flesh and blood he gave the blessing of eternal life. That is why we can say that Jesus is the spiritual Melchizedek.
Hebrews 5:8 Son though he (Jesus) was, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10 and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.
Conclusion
Through the prophecies of Melchizedek of the Old Testament, we can clearly know that Jesus who fulfilled the prophecies of the Melchizedek is the Messiah or Christ. The ceremony through which Jesus blessed his people was named as new covenant, showing us the time of old covenant was gone and the age of fulfillment came. When he established the new covenant, he was announcing that the new age had come to fulfill the prophecies of the bible. That is why the bible says that he is the high priest mediating with new covenant of bread and wine.
Hebrews 9:15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant.
Jesus Christ, The True Spiritual Melchizedek
Just as Melchizedek, Jesus gave “bread and wine” for the blessings of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life with bread and wine, which represent his precious flesh and blood that he sacrificed for us. Jesus came and fulfilled all the prophecies as it was recorded in the bible, but people refused to accept him as Christ since he did not meet their expectation of Christ.
In our time too, we are given chance to show our faith and belief toward the words of God. Christ came again for the second time bringing “bread and wine” of the Passover to grant us the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Through this symbol of Melchizedek we must recognize Christ Ahnsahnghong as true Messiah who came to this earth to fulfill the prophecies of the bible. We should not make the same mistakes again the Jews made 2000 years ago. Jesus’ physical life and his physical appearance became stumbling blocks to them, hindering them from accepting the Christ who fulfilled the prophecies of the bible, which was true signs of Christ.
In the same way, the bible which testifies about the Christ says Christ Ahnsahnghong is the Christ or Messiah who came to us as spiritual Melchizedek to give us salvation. But aren’t we focusing on the physical life and appearance of Christ Ahnsahnghong, rather than the fulfillment of prophecies of the bible? Let us accept Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem by getting rid of our own opinion or expectations of Christ, but trusting the words of God in the bible.
