    Secrets Hidden In Parable

Passover The Tree Of Life–The Book of Genesis contains many secrets and mysteries in it. People who do not know how to read the bible try to understand and interpret Genesis literally. And in the end they come to distort the words of God. Then how should we understand and interpret the Book of Genesis? The bible gives enough information for us to know the meaning of all the parables in the bible.

2000 years ago, Jesus came down to us and taught how to understand the Book of Genesis. Therefore, to understand the book first we have look at the words of God in the bible.

Jesus’ Teachings: The Key To Understand The Parable

Matthew 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. 35 So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”

Passover The Tree Of Life–The bible says that all the words of God in the bible are composed of many parables. In this sense, the bible itself is a huge construction of figurative language. The problem of the figurative language is, however, that sometimes it can cause misunderstandings since it can be interpreted in many different ways. Therefore, to know the intended meaning of the parable, we must have knowledge about the intention of the maker of the parable. In the case of the bible we have to know the intention of God in the parable since God gave us the book. (Isaiah 34:16)

Since it is impossible to know the thoughts of God with our human understanding (Isaiah 55:8), Jesus, who is God himself, came down to us. And He gave us the teachings of God directly that we may understand the meanings of the parable. And we can interpret the bible correctly.

    Passover the tree of life
What is the tree of life? What should we eat to live forever?

The Tree Of Life In Genesis

The First Sin And the Death Through Sin

Passover The Tree Of Life–Jesus taught us many things about the hidden secrets and mysteries of the bible. However, today let us study one teaching of Jesus, the tree of life. What is the tree of life? What is the hidden secret behind this parable?

Let us first look at the parable of the tree of life in the Book of Genesis. In the Book of Romans, Paul says that sin entered the world through Adam and the death through sin. (Romans 5:12) Adam did not obey the words of God. He committed sin by practicing the lawlessness. (1John 3:4) God commanded him not to eat from “the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. However, Adam and Eve practiced the lawlessness and ate from the tree.

Because of this disobedience or sin, the death came to them. And they were destined to die. However, if we read the Book of Genesis, there was a way for them to have eternal life despite their sin and the death sentence in the wake.

    Eternal Life For The Sinners

Genesis 3:22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”

Passover The Tree Of Life–Even though they were destined to die because of their sin, there was a way for the sinners to live forever. If only they could eat from the tree of life, they could have eternal life. However, God did not allow them to eat from the tree of life.

Genesis 3:23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken. 24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

God set a flaming sword and cherubim on guard to keep the sinners from eating the tree of life. Since they could not eat from the tree of life, the eternal life was taken away from them. And they lamented as Paul said, “What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?” (Romans 7:24)

This story of sin and death is not just a story of Adam and Eve. Actually, this is the story of all the human beings on this earth who is living as slaves of sin and death. (Romans 5:12)

The Interpretation On The Parable Of Tree Of Life

The Figurative Language That Contains Secrets

Passover The Tree Of Life–This is the story of the tree of life in the Book of Genesis. We cannot interpret the story literally. Can we pinpoint the physical location of the Garden of Eden somewhere on this earth? And is there the entrance of the garden guarded by a flaming sword and cherubim? And in the middle of the garden do you think we can see the tree of life that we may eat and live forever? Definitely not.

The bible says there are “things hidden” or secrets in this story of the tree of life in the Book of Genesis. It means we cannot interpret Genesis in the literal sense. Rather, we have to know the hidden meaning behind this story. Then what is the tree of life? How can we eat it and live forever? To find the answer for these questions we should look at the teachings of Jesus Christ.

The Tree Of Life In The Teachings Of Jesus

Passover The Tree Of Life–2000 years ago, God himself came down to this earth in the name of Jesus. He wanted to reveal “things hidden since the creation of the world.” The very first thing he revealed through his teaching was the parable of the tree of life. He wanted to let us know the reality of the tree of life for our salvation of eternal life. Then what is the true tree of life we should eat to live forever?

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

What should a sinner eat to live forever in the Garden of Eden? The tree of life. In this teaching of Jesus what should a sinner eat to live forever? Jesus’ flesh and blood. Then what is the reality of the tree of life? It is none other than the flesh and blood of Jesus. What God wanted to teach us through the parable of the tree of life in Genesis was that a sinner living on this earth must eat Jesus’ flesh and blood to live forever or to have eternal life.

The Way To Eat Christ’s Flesh And Blood

Passover The Tree Of Life–We come to know the reality of the tree of life, Christ’s flesh and blood. Then the next question is how to eat Christ’s flesh and blood. As I told you, we should not interpret the bible literally. Jesus’ flesh and blood must be a parable too.

When he gave this teaching, those who understood his teaching literally rejected him and turned away from him. They could not receive the salvation through the tree of life.

John 6:60-66  On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who can accept it?”…..66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

However, Jesus’ disciples patiently waited for Jesus to teach them how to eat his flesh and blood. And they could eat the tree of life and live forever. Therefore, we should also open our spiritual eyes. Or we may make the same mistakes as Jews and lose our share of the tree of life. Then how can we eat the tree of life to live forever.

    Passover the tree of life
Jesus and His Disciples Keeping Passover

Passover the Reality of the Tree Of Life

Passover The Tree Of Life–Then what is the way we can eat Jesus’ flesh and blood?

Matthew 26:17 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” 18 He replied, “Go into the city to a certain man and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My appointed time is near. I am going to celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your house.’” 19 So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover.

On the night of the Passover, he gave his disciples a precious teaching. He taught them how to eat from the tree of life. Also he taught them what the way is they could eat his flesh and blood.

Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup (wine), and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the[b] covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

On the night of the Passover, Jesus taught his disciples of the way to eat his flesh and blood. He took the Passover bread and sealed it as his flesh with his own promise. In the same way, he sealed the Passover wine as his blood. Therefore, by keeping the Passover, we can eat his flesh and drink his blood. Consequently, through the Passover, we can eat the tree of life to live forever.

Abolishment and Restoration Of The Passover

Passover The Tree Of Life–The saints of the early church kept the Passover of the new covenant according to the teachings of Christ. (1Corinthians 5:7) However, Satan worked against the Passover and abolished it. It attempted to abolish the Passover many times in the history of Christianity, first in A.D. 155 and 197. Finally, in the Council of Nicaea in 325, the Passover was completely abolished and disappeared from the world.

For this reason, the bible says that the Christ would come for the second time to give us salvation.

Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

To fulfill this prophecy, Christ appeared to us for the second time in the name of Christ Ahnsahnghong. He restored the Passover of the new covenant for our salvation. Once the way to the tree of life was hidden, but now it is open to us again. Now let us keep the Passover of the new covenant with a joyful and thankful mind for the salvation Christ gave us for the second time.

  • Hidden Manna and Salvation

    Hidden Manna and Salvation

Hidden Manna And Salvation–The bible says that people of God who are living in the life of agony and death will receive salvation and go to the heavenly country. For this reason, as people of God we have to know who our God the Savior is and how does He give us salvation.

To understand the work of salvation of God we have to have the knowledge of the bible. And the bible says God gives his people salvation through the manna, the bread from heaven.

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
    Bread from Heaven

    Manna, Bread From Heaven

Hidden Manna And Salvation–When the Israelites were walking in the desert for 40 years, they were lacking nothing. It is unbelievable considering the number of people who were walking in the desert. Since patriarchs were 600,000, the number of people including all other family members could have been easily over 2 million. How could they survive in the desert?

At the beginning of the journey, when the Israelites cried out to God for the lack of water and food, God promised them that He would “rain down bread from heaven” that they may live on it. They named the bread “manna.” (Ex 16:4, 31)

Nehemiah 9:15  In their hunger you gave them bread from heaven and in their thirst you brought them water from the rock; you told them to go in and take possession of the land you had sworn with uplifted hand to give them.

Manna means “bread from heaven” which God gave the Israelites in the desert so that they can feed on it. Through this bread they could gain life in the desert. God called this manna as “glory of the Lord,” (Ex 16:7) because God was giving them life or salvation in the desert.

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
    Gathering Manna in the wilderness

Spiritual Manna, True Bread From Heaven

Hidden Manna And Salvation–The bible says that what was done in the Old Testament was a copy and shadow which foreshadowed what would be done in the New Testament. Just as there are physical Israelites, there are also the spiritual Israelites. (Rom 2:28) The physical Jews walked in the physical desert. Their life was hard and difficult because many things were lacking. In the same way, as spiritual Jews we are living in the spiritual desert of faith where we face hardships and difficulties all the time.

In the life of desert, God gave Israelites manna, bread from heaven for their life. And the bible teaches that God would give spiritual manna to us who are living in the life of faith in the spiritual desert. Then what is the spiritual bread that we must eat to receive salvation? And who is the one who can give the spiritual manna for our salvation? In the desert, manna was the representation of the glory of God. Also God said that he would not yield his glory to anyone. (Isa 42:8) Therefore, the only one who can show the glory of God is only God himself. This means that it is only God who can give manna (the glory of God) to people.

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
    Passover and Manna

    Jesus Giving Spiritual Manna

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Then who gave the spiritual manna to the people of God? 2000 years ago, Jesus came down to the people of God and gave them manna for their salvation. In the Book of John, Jesus taught his disciples that he is the bread from heaven or manna that they must eat to receive life. Jews of the time sought a sign from Jesus so that they could know that he was the Messiah or Savior. As the sign of Savior, specifically, they asked him to give them “the bread from heaven” that could give them life.

In answer to their request, Jesus taught them that he could give them manna the true bread from heaven that would give them eternal life.

John 6:32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”…..35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. … 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

    Hidden Manna And Salvation
Jesus’ flesh and blood, Spiritual Manna

Bread From Heaven For Eternal Life

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Jesus said that he is the bread from heaven and whoever ate the bread would live forever. And also he taught them how to eat the bread from heaven, the spiritual manna.

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Through these teachings of Jesus Christ, we can know that he was the spiritual manna the bread from heaven. And by eating his flesh and blood, we can eat manna for the spiritual life. As we have seen in many other different places, the only way we can eat his flesh and drink his blood is the Passover bread and wine. The Passover is actually the ceremony of eating spiritual manna for the eternal life in heaven. And Jesus was God himself who came down to this earth to shine the glory of salvation through the spiritual manna. (Isa 42:8)

    Hidden Manna And Salvation

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Even though Jesus shone the glory of God through the Passover 2000 years ago, the light of glory of God was taken away from people in 325 AD. At the Council of Nicaea, Emperor Constantine abolished the Passover and replaced the Passover with a pagan custom of Easter in the excuse of commemorating Jesus’ resurrection. Because of this event, the manna became hidden and people could not eat the manna or the bread from heaven to receive eternal life.

However, the bible says that this hidden manna would be revealed in the last day to give us salvation again. Then who would bring this manna? It is Christ only who can bring the manna. It has always been God who could bring the light of salvation just like Jehovah in the Old Testament and Jesus 2000 years ago. And it would be the same in the last days. The Jesus would come back the second time to bring salvation. (Heb 9:28) Then how would he bring salvation? By restoring the manna or the Passover so that we can receive eternal life.

Revelation 2:17  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

Christ teaches us that in the last day he would come back again with a new name. And also he would bring the manna back and give it to the people of God who are victorious.

    Hidden Manna and Christ Ahnsahnghong

Hidden Manna And Salvation–Then according to the prophecies of the bible who brought back this manna again to us. If we look at the history of the church, there were some churches that restored a certain part of the truth. After the reformation, the baptism and the Sabbath got restored. But nobody could restore the lost truth of the new covenant Passover and other festivals of God. The reason is obvious. It is because this can be done by Christ or God who is coming as man in the flesh can do according to the prophecies of the bible.

The glory of God’s salvation can be revealed by God himself only. Finally, in 1964 people started to keep the Passover in the “World Mission Society Church Of God” or aka, “WMSCOG,” “Church Of God”. Then how could they keep the Passover? It was because one man restored the Passover of the new covenant. He was Christ Ahnsahnghong. Then who would Christ Ahnsahnghong be who revealed the glory of God through the hidden manna? He is none other than God himself. Even though he appeared as man for the second time, he is God who came to bring us salvation. (Isa 25:6-9)

Now let us keep the Passover by accepting the teachings of Christ Ahnsahnghong. The Passover is the ceremony through which we can eat the hidden manna, the flesh of Christ which God gave for the life of his people. And also let us realize that God the Mother is the reality of the manna, Christ’s flesh and blood. And she is the spiritual Eve who is the Mother of all the living who can give us eternal life.

  • Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong

    Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong

    Appearance of Spiritual Cyrus

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–We have seen about Cyrus the Great who freed God’s people from the Babylonian slavery. Even though he was a Gentile king, he acknowledged God. He did everything God commanded through the prophecies of Isaiah. Then why did God allow this history of Cyrus to be recorded in the bible, the book for God’s salvation work?

The bible says that the Old Testament works as copy and shadow to show the reality of what was to happen in the New Testament. In other words, the Old Testament was working as prophecies for the things that would happen in the New Testament. (Hebrews 10:1)

Slavery of Babylon and King Cyrus

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–The bible says that God summoned Cyrus the Great for the sake of God’s people. In the time of Cyrus God’s people were under the Babylonian slavery. When the appointed time came, God raised up Cyrus to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah.

Isaiah 45:13  I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the Lord Almighty.”

This prophecy was made about 160 years before the king Cyrus by Prophet Isaiah. In this prophecy, God already prophesied that God’s people would be in Babylonian slavery. And to set them free, he will raise up Cyrus, King of Persia. Finally, 160 year later, Cyrus was born and became a king of Persia. When he came to know the prophecies of Isaiah, he understood that it was God who gave him life. God made him to be a king and conquer many nations. After realizing this, he wanted to do the will of God.

As it says in the Book of Ezra, the king set the Israelites free from the Babylonian slavery. He let them go and rebuild the ruined temple of God. Furthermore, he provided all the materials for the construction of the temple. All these happened to fulfill the prophecies of the bible.

    Spiritual Fulfillment of the Prophecy

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–Then what is the purpose of the history of Israel? Is it just a history of one nation? No, it is more than that.

Hebrews 10:1 The law (or the Old Testament) is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.

The bible teaches that the law or the Law of Moses in the Old Testament was a shadow to teach us the realities for the New Testament. The story of Cyrus in the Old Testament also works as shadow. The true meaning of this story can be found in the New Testament. Then let us find out the meaning one by one.

Spiritual Slavery of Babylon By God’s People

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–The Book of Revelation teaches that God’s people would be under the slavery of Babylon in the last days.

    Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong
    Illustration of Babylon the Great

Revelation 17:1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters. 2 With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.” 3 Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. 4 The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. 5 The name written on her forehead was a mystery: Babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. 6 I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus.

This is a prophecy about a church which will put God’s people under the slavery of sin and death by making them commit adultery. Let us find out the meanings of the prophecy one by one.

    Spiritual Meaning In the Prophecy

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–First, what is the woman sitting on many waters? Waters represent human society as we can see in Verse 15. And a woman in the bible signifies a church as in 1 Peter 5:13. Therefore, this prophecy is about a false church (a great prostitute) which will control and rule over the whole human society in the last days. In Verse 5, God named the false church as “Babylon.” And in Verse 6, he shows God’s people under persecution of this false church.

Once the Israelites were under the control and slavery of Babylon around 600 BC. They were in pain and suffering under onerous burden of Babylon slavery. This history was actually working as prophecy for God’s people who would be under the slavery of spiritual Babylon. And the bible says God’s people are under the slavery of Babylon the Great in the last days. In this hopeless state, God sent Cyrus to conquer Babylon. And finally, Cyrus set the Israelites free.

This also shows the appearance of spiritual Cyrus in the last days who will set God’s people free.

Emancipation From the Slavery Of Babylon

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–Then who is the spiritual Cyrus? How can we recognize him who would come to set us free? To understand this we have to first understand the kind of slavery we are in. We are not physically a slave to anyone today. Therefore, we have to know the figurative meaning behind it. Then what is slavery in the spiritual sense?

John 8:31  To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” 33 They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” 34 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.

Spiritually, slavery means the slavery of sin and death. As we have seen in the prophecy of Revelation, in the last day everybody is committing adultery because of Babylon the Great. In this state, nobody is free from sin. And because of the sin, everyone is under the destiny of death since the wages of sin is death. (Roman 6:23)

Appearance of Cyrus and Freedom From Sin and Death

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–However, in this miserable state the bible prophesies that one would appear to set God’s people free from the slavery of sin and death.

Revelation 18:1  After this I saw another angel coming down from heaven. He had great authority, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. 2 With a mighty voice he shouted: “‘Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great!’ She has become a dwelling for demons and a haunt for every impure spirit,     a haunt for every unclean bird, a haunt for every unclean and detestable animal.

This is the prophecy of the appearance of Cyrus and the fall of Babylon the Great. When this angel appears the world covered in the complete darkness is brightened up by the great light he brings into the world. At that moment people will be able to see clearly the true identity of Babylon the false church. Once people have been deceived by Babylon and followed its sinful ways. But now people can see that it is filled with falsehood, impurities, and uncleanness.

Then who is this angel? And what is the light that reveals the identity of Babylon?

    Light Of Truth, Passover

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–What is light that brightens up the dark world with its great splendor?

    spiritual cyrus christ ahnsahnghong
The Light of truth that reveals the identity of Babylon the great

Psalm 119:105  Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

In the bible, the light means the words of God or the truth. Then what is the truth that would be revealed in the last days? We can know the truth through the work it is supposed to do in the last days. According to the bible, this is the truth that gives freedom from the slavery of sin and death. In other words, this is the truth that gives the forgiveness of sins, the freedom from sin. And also this truth must give us eternal life, the freedom from death. Then what is the truth that gives us “forgiveness” and “eternal life.” It is the truth of the Passover new covenant.

Forgiveness And Eternal Life Through The Passover

Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–2000 years ago Jesus established the Passover with his flesh and blood. By participating in the bread and wine of the Passover we can receive the promise of Christ, the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. So the light of truth that would be revealed in the last day is the Passover of the new covenant.

    Abolishment Of The Passover

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–The Passover Jesus established with his flesh and blood was abolished and came to be lost through the Council of Nicaea in 325 BC. Since then people could not keep the Passover. They could not receive the promise of forgiveness and eternal life. Everybody has fallen into the slavery of sin and death. Why all these things happened in the history of Christianity? It was all because of Babylon the Great.

Then what is Babylon the Great that put God’s people under the slavery of sin and death? To find answer to this question, we must find out the one who abolished the Passover. In the history of Christianity the one who abolished the words of God and introduced falsehood into the church was the Roman Catholic Church. (Daniel 7:25, Revelation 13:1-8) The Roman Catholic changed the truth into falsehood. They changed the Sabbath (Saturday) into Sunday worship. Also it changed Passover into Christmas (December 25).

During the reign of Babylon the Great, all the truth of the new covenant was taken away from the world. In the figurative sense, the world fell into the darkness since there was no truth or light. Without the truth of the Passover, everyone became enslaved by sin and death.

    Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong

Spiritual Cyrus Christ Ahnsahnghong–This is the spiritual state in the last days. The whole world is under the complete darkness because of the lack of light or the truth. But according to the bible, in the last day one angel would appear with great light that would reveal the identity of Babylon. At that moment, people will come to know the truth, and the falsehood of Babylon would be laid bare. And God’s people who once were under the slavery of Babylon would be emancipated through the truth. Then who is the angel who would bring the truth and set us free from sin and death?

John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” ……36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Through these verses we can know that it is only the son Jesus who can gives us the truth that set us free from the slavery of sin and death. In other words, Christ must come back again in the last days. He must teach us the truth of the new covenant Passover. Through this truth, we can be set free.

    Conclusion

Then in our time, who restored the Passover, the light of the truth? Who gave us freedom from sin and death? Who allowed the forgiveness and eternal life? Who revealed the identity of Babylon with the light of truth? It was Christ Ahnsahnghong. Cyrus the Great the king of Persia destroyed the kingdom of Babylon. And he gave freedom to the Israelites. This was a prophecy for the last day.

In the last day, God’s people became slaves to spiritual Babylon, the false church which changed the words of truth. Christ Ahnsahnghong appeared to us as spiritual Cyrus the Great. And he gave us freedom from the slavery of Babylon through the new covenant Passover. Just as Cyrus gave the Israelites a mission to rebuild the Jerusalem temple, Christ Ahnsahnghong gave us a mission of establishing spiritual Jerusalem temple. He commanded us to go and find all the building materials of the spiritual temple, that is, our brothers and sisters.

Physical Israelites went through many difficulties while rebuilding the Jerusalem Temple. However, they endured and overcame all the hardships and completed the temple in the end. (Ezra 7:14) In the same way, we might have some difficulties and hardship in the completion of this mission. However, we must overcome and complete the work entrusted to us with a willing mind.

  • Do You Want To Go Heaven?

Do You Want To Go Heaven?

How To Enter Heaven–The bible says that the heaven is so great that you cannot imagine or expect what is waiting for you there. In other words, it is a place beyond our imagination and recognition. Paul says:

1 Corinthians 2:9  9 However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”— the things God has prepared for those who love him—10 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit.

    What would heaven be like?
    The paradise-like landscape in Avatar

If heaven is such a wonderful place, everybody would like to go there. Once there was a movie called “Avatar.” And the graphic and imagination of the movie were so amazing that many came to think that Pandora, the planet in the movie can be considered as paradise in human imagination. I remember also that I was very impressed by the movie and the graphic. However, the bible says that the heaven is a place where we cannot describe with our human imagination. Then how beautiful and fantastic would it be!

    Who can go to heaven?

How To Enter Heaven–Then can everyone enter heaven in the end? Certainly not. The bible clearly put a limit about the people who can enter heaven. Jesus said that “Not everyone can enter the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 7:21) The fate waiting for those who cannot enter the heaven is dire and miserable. Therefore, we must make effort to enter heaven all the more not just for the beauty and happiness in store for the chosen, but for the pain and suffering reserved for the banished.

Therefore, most people who believe in God in the bible already know the importance of receiving the passport to the heavenly country. Then how can we get the visa and passport to go heaven? When asked, people tend to say that they can enter heaven if they do something good in this world. Is it true? First, let us some examples from the bible.

A Story of A Young Rich Man

How To Enter Heaven–Once a rich young man came to Jesus and asked how to enter eternal life in heaven. Jesus said that he must do everything according to the Ten Commandments: Do not tell a lie, do not murder, do not commit adultery, etc. In short, he said, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” And the young man said that he had done everything according to the law. Jesus loved and wanted to lead to salvation. Jesus said, “One thing you lack. Go, sell everything you have and give to the poor…. Then come, follow me.” (Mark 10:21) After hearing the words, he left Jesus and never came back.

    how to enter heaven
Jesus Christ and a rich young man

Matthew 19:23 23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly I tell you, it is hard for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

After hearing this, the disciples got surprised and asked one another, “If that young man who did everything according to the law cannot enter heaven, who can enter?” The young man was a perfect example of “Good Man.” And according to the opinions of people today, if he cannot enter, then who can? We can imagine what kind of person he must have been. He must have been upright, kind, considerate, etc. In short, he must have been “A Few Good Men” in this world. However, Jesus said that he cannot enter the heaven.

    An Example From Apostle Paul

How To Enter Heaven–In the matter of righteousness, Paul was also the one like the young rich man.

Philippians 3:4  though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If someone else thinks they have reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more: 5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee; 6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for righteousness based on the law, faultless.

Even though he became a different person after receiving the Christ, once he took much pride in himself. He had good family background, education, and more than anything else he had the citizenship of Rome, which could guarantee a successful life in those days. His obedience to the Law of Moses was perfect like the rich young man. This means he had not done anything which could have brought himself into disrepute.

Even though he had led a perfect life in the moral and legal aspect, he said that he considered his previous life as Jew as “rubbish.” Before he knew Christ, everything he had done was meaningless and useless for his salvation.

    A Story Of Ant World

How To Enter Heaven–Whether he had done good things to his neighbor by loving and helping them is not essential for salvation. In this sense, we can conclude that the good things we do for others are not the ticket for heaven.

    how to enter heaven
    Hero in the ant world

To explain this, I would like to take an ant society for example. Once I read in a newspaper about an ant species which shows altruistic character by helping the injured in a fight.

But their attacks are met with resistance and the ants get involved in fights with termites of the soldier caste. Ants often get injured as the soldier termites are ‘very adept’ at using their powerful jaws to fend off the attackers. But the ingenious ants have developed a ‘rescue behaviour’ previously unknown in insects. The ants emit two pheromones – dimethyl disulfide and dimethyl trisulfide – present in the mandibular gland reservoirs of the ants, trigger the rescue behaviour. The injured insect is then carried back to the nest by its comrades, where it can recover and receive treatment.

From  Ants rescue their wounded from the battlefield: Insects call friends when they’re injured by spraying chemicals

This is an amazing story. Even an insect knows how to help another when the other got injured. Then let us imagine a huge battle between this ant species and termites. And many of the ants got injured because of the termite attack. In this battle, there was a particularly “good” ant which rescued many injured brothers and saved their life. After the war, the particular ant was awarded “Good Citizenship Award” for the feats during the war. He became a great ant in the ant world.

Human Society Through A Spiritual Perspective

How To Enter Heaven–This would be a fantastic story. But how can this achievement of the good ant affect us? Does it cause any harm or good to us? No, nothing. Even though there might be a great war between ants and termite going on by the sidewalk, while walking, we may not notice what is going on. The great epic tragedy in the ant world does not cause any impact on us. Maybe, some scientists consider the behavior unusual and study the ants. To most of us, however, ants and termites are both annoying things that must be exterminated by a pest control. To us it does not matter if an ant is good and a hero of the ant world. Good or bad, they are just ants and ants are NOT good.

With this perspective, let us reexamine the human society. Let us get rid of the prejudice we have on us as human being. We might consider our life and our world important. And we might praise a man who works hard for the benefit of the human society by giving them awards for various reasons. We might write books about their achievements and make films out of their stories. We teach the students about them as good role models to follow. In our human perspective, doing such things for good men is natural and understandable.

But what about in God’s perspective? Are we truly worthy to be praised? Are we truly “good”? The bible says that no one is good in this world and everybody is a sinner. In other words, in God’s perspective, we are just criminals kept in prison earth until the time of execution. That is the life of mankind in the spiritual perspective.

    How to Enter Heaven?

For example, let us think about a serial killer in a prison who received the penalty of capital punishment for the crimes. In prison, he changed his behavior and became a good man. He helps other prisoners when they are sick. And he eagerly does the chores in the prison. He is known as “good” man in the prison. Then because of that, do we praise the criminal and forgive his wrongdoings just because he has done something good in prison? Do we make petition to the government to set him free? Probably not.

    How to enter heaven
    Good man or bad man?

If a prisoner does something good in prison, he might be received honorably by other inmates. But that does not mean the things that he had done while living in the society can be forgiven. It is the same with us. We are the sinners from heaven. We committed sins against God in heaven and came down to this prison earth. In this earth, we might have changed ourselves and we do many honorable things for other people. Then we might receive fame and honor from others on this earth. However, this does not mean there is any improvement in our spiritual status. Still, we are sinners destined to die. In spite of many good things on this earth, we still are the same spiritually.

That is why we can conclude that we cannot save ourselves through the good deeds on this earth. A “good” man cannot enter the kingdom of heaven. This might sound like ironical, but it is true. Then how can we enter the heaven?

    Follow The Commands Of God

God clearly teaches us that we cannot enter the heaven through our own righteousness.

Job 35:6 Look up at the heavens and see; gaze at the clouds so high above you. 6 If you sin, how does that affect him? If your sins are many, what does that do to him? 7 If you are righteous, what do you give to him, or what does he receive from your hand? 8 Your wickedness only affects humans like yourself, and your righteousness only other people.

I am not saying that we can do bad things to others. We have to be good not to cover the glory of God. And also God commanded us to be good. What I am trying to say is that our salvation does not depend on “goodness” to others as many believe. Then what should we do to enter heaven? Jesus said that we have to do “the will of God” to enter heaven. (Matthew 7:21) God said, “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood can have eternal life.” And those who received the eternal life through Christ’s flesh and blood can enter heaven where there is no death, pain, sorrow.

God gave us the Passover new covenant to enter heaven. Let us do the will of God by keeping the Passover. We should remember that no one can enter heaven through their own righteousness. To enter heaven we must follow the commands of God. It is not our perspective, but God’s perspective that is important for us to receive salvation. Let us make effort to be a “good” man in the eyes of God, not in our own perspective.

  • The Wedding Clothes That We Must Wear

The Wedding Clothes That We Must Wear

In the parable of wedding banquet, we can see a man who was not allowed to take part in the wedding banquet because he was not properly dressed for the ceremony. As we already know through the parable, all the parable contains the secret of the kingdom of heaven; and therefore, this parable is also about the kingdom of heaven. The person without wedding clothes was not allowed in the wedding banquet actually means he will not be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, all the guests or God’s people must properly dressed for the banquet to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Then what are the clothes that we must prepare and wear for heaven?

    Wedding Clothes for God’s People

Matthew 22:8  “Then he said to his servants, ‘The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9 So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.’ 10 So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, the bad as well as the good, and the wedding hall was filled with guests. 11 “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 12 He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. 13 “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ 14 “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

In this parable who are the guests, they are described as “chosen” people by God and they must be God’s chosen people who are allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven. However, in this parable one was found to be not wearing wedding clothes and taken out from the wedding banquet and thrown out into the darkness (or Hell). Then what is the wedding clothes he did not prepare?

The bible teaches that people of the world can be divided into two groups: People who belong to God and people who belong to Devil. To distinguish them, spiritually different clothes are given to each of them to wear. If we look at a competition when two or more parties are involved in it, each team wear different costumes so that they can distinguish themselves from people of other group. Spiritually it is the same and in the spiritual level a war is going on between the armies of God and Devil. To distinguish them from each other spiritual clothes are given to each of them.

Ephesians 6:11  Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

In this spiritual war what is the clothes we should wear to let people know that I belong to God?

    One Example From the Bible

We can see one example from the bible which was given to us to teach us how God will distinguish his people from the evil ones. And also through this God is teaching us the importance of clothes we choose to wear.

2 Kings 10:18 Then Jehu brought all the people together and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little; Jehu will serve him much. 19 Now summon all the prophets of Baal, all his servants and all his priests. See that no one is missing, because I am going to hold a great sacrifice for Baal. Anyone who fails to come will no longer live.” But Jehu was acting deceptively in order to destroy the servants of Baal. 20 Jehu said, “Call an assembly in honor of Baal.” So they proclaimed it. 21 Then he sent word throughout Israel, and all the servants of Baal came; not one stayed away. They crowded into the temple of Baal until it was full from one end to the other.

Under the pretense that he was holding a great offering for Baal (the sungod which was worshiped by Ahab, the previous king), Jehu gathered all the Baal worshipers and prophets ultimately to kill and destroy them all in one day. So all the prophets of Baal gathered in the place of sacrifice and each of them were given special clothes to wear so that they could be easily recognized by everybody.

2 Kings 10:22  22 And Jehu said to the keeper of the wardrobe, “Bring robes for all the servants of Baal.” So he brought out robes for them.

All the Baal worshipers were given special clothes to wear and then all of the people who were wearing the clothes killed at the moment without missing even one.

2 Kings 10:24  24 So they went in to make sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had posted eighty men outside with this warning: “If one of you lets any of the men I am placing in your hands escape, it will be your life for his life.” 25 As soon as Jehu had finished making the burnt offering, he ordered the guards and officers: “Go in and kill them; let no one escape.” So they cut them down with the sword. The guards and officers threw the bodies out and then entered the inner shrine of the temple of Baal.

In this way, all the Baal worshiper were separated from the worshipers of God and got destroyed completely.

What is the wedding clothes that we have to wear?

Spiritual Clothes For the People of God

Even though this was fulfilled physically, this was given to us to teach us what is going to happen in the last days on the Day of Judgment when God is going to separate and destroy all the evildoers who belong to Devil.

Matthew 13:30  30 Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

At the time of this spiritual harvest, those who are allowed to enter into the kingdom of heaven must wear spiritual clothes as sign to let the angels know that they are the ones that belong to God. Then what is the spiritual clothes and how can we get one? In the book of Revelation, God let us know about the spiritual clothes we must wear in the last days to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Revelation 22:14  “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. 15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

According to the bible those who can enter into the holy city (or the kingdom of heaven) are the ones who would wash their robes and therefore we have to wear washed robes. What are the washed robes that we must prepare? Let us find out the mated verse to know the meaning correctly.

Revelation 7:9   After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

Here John in the vision saw the chosen people of God who would be saved and would stand before God in the kingdom of heaven, gathered together from all the corners of the earth and they have one characteristic: white robes, in other words, they have washed their robes white. Therefore, we can say these are the same ones from Chapter 22 who were blessed to enter the heaven after washing their robes. Then how could they wash their robes white?

Revelation 7:13  Then one of the elders asked me, “These in white robes—who are they, and where did they come from?” 14 I answered, “Sir, you know.” And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

The great tribulation must be the last disaster that would destroy the earth and the bible teaches the characteristic of the people who would be saved out of the disasters and enter into the holy city that is the kingdom of heaven: “They have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” Therefore, the wedding clothes that we have to prepare for the Day of Judgment is the white robes washed in the blood of the Lamb. Then how can we wash our robe in the blood of the Lamb.

    Passover and White Robes

According to the bible, we are sinners and because of our sins we became impure and unclean. Spiritually, we can say our robes got stained and dirty because of our sins. When our clothes are dirty with stains and dirt, we wash our clothes in the clean water to make them clean and white, right? In the same way, when our spiritual clothes are dirty and stained because of our sins, we have to wash them to make them white. Without making them white and clean, we cannot take part in the wedding banquet with our dirty clothes because the most essencial condition of the guests in the wedding banquet is that they must be clean and pure.

Revelation 19:7  Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.)

The only way for God’s people to enter into the kingdom of heaven is to become the ornament of the bride in the wedding banquet and the qualification to be the ornament is purity and cleaness. There should not be any impure or unclean thing to be the people of God. When they made themselves pure and clean like this, then they can become the ornament for the bride and when the bride goes back to the heaven, they would be allowed to enter along with the bride.

Isaiah 49:17  Your children hasten back, and those who laid you waste depart from you. 18Lift up your eyes and look around; all your children gather and come to you. As surely as I live,” declares the Lord, “you will wear them all as ornaments; you will put them on, like a bride.

Then how clean and pure the linen should be to be the wedding clothes for the bride in the heavenly wedding banquet? The bride represents our Mother and the ornaments to reveal Mother’s glory should extremely good and high in quality. Any material which shows any impurity and stains would not be able to be used as ornament for Heavenly Mother. Then how can we–who are already stained and spotted with our sins–make us pure and clean to be the ornaments for God’s wedding ornaments? The bible says that we must wash ourselves with the blood of the Lamb. Then what is the blood of the Lamb that we must wash our robes with to make us clean?

The blood of the Lamb (or Jesus) that cleanses us our sins and impurity is the Passover through which we can receive the forgiveness of sins.

Matthew 26:26  26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

    Conclusion

Therefore, the robe we must prepare for the wedding banquet to enter into the kingdom of heaven is the clean robe washed of sins and impurities through the Passover bread and wine which represent the flesh and blood of Christ. Only those who cleansed themselves with the blood of Christ through the Passover are the ones who would be clean and bright to be the fine linen for the bride and they would be able to enter into the kingdom of heaven as ornaments for the bride. And also it is not just the Passover, but all the regulations of the new covenant such as Sabbath, Third Day, festivals which gives us the cleanseness. Therefore, let us keep the commands of God which would make us clean and beautiful enough to enter into the kingdom of heaven.

On that day everyone will receive a reward from God; he who keeps the feast and becomes cleansed will receive the Holy Spirit of the latter rain, and he who doesn’t keep it and remains unclean will receive the plagues.

From The Law of Moses and the Law of Christ by Christ Ahnsahnghong

  • [WMSCOG] Christ Coming With Hidden Manna

Christ gave all the information of his coming so that we would correctly recognize the one who is to come and receive salvation. Through the prophecies of the bible he let us know how, when, and where he would come. And also he let us know the true sign of Christ so that we can be sure who the true Christ is even though he would appear as ordinary man in the flesh as he appeared 2000 years ago. However, the disciples could correctly recognize him through the sign he brought, the Passover. In the same way, the Second Coming Christ would bring “the hidden manna” as his sign. Then what is the hidden manna?

    Undercover Prosecutor In Chosun Dynasty

In the Korean history when people’s complaint reached the king, the king would sent his messenger to the place to inspect the governor of the town. And the messenger would enter into the town in the appearance of beggar or passerby in worn and patched clothes to hide his identity. If the rumor was true and people are mistreated and exploited by the governor, the messenger was given authority to depose the corrupt official. At that time, one undeniable sign was given to him by the king so that everyone could recognize the true identity of the messenger despite his unlikely outward appearance: that is, Ma-Pae, which allowed him to mobilize soldiers and people to punish the corrupt governor.

This medallion was the sure sign of King’s messenger; therefore, when people see the medallion, they must listen to the person who carried it. However poor or pathetic may a person look, he must be obeyed as soon as he showed this medallion because he was the one who was sent by the king.

The Sign of the Second Coming Christ

Then in the same way, the bible says that when Christ is coming for the second time in the last days, he is to bring a sure sign that people can easily recognize him no matter what his appearance look like. Whether he is tall or short, rich or poor, handsome or not, all these things do not matter. What is important is the sure sign he is showing to reveal his identity. Then what is the sign of the Second Coming Christ so that we can recognize him? Without knowing the sign we might miss him when he comes and lost our chance for the salvation. Therefore, let us see one prophecy of his coming to find out the sign he is bringing to let us know his true identity.

Revelation 2:17   Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

What is the stone with a new name? According to the bible, Christ is called stone because he would appear as ordinary man (stone) who are so common like stones and cannot be recognized with outward appearance. (1 Peter 2:4) Just like one stone is not different from another, outwardly Christ would not be different from any of us. So the meaning of this prophecy is Christ who is coming as man in the flesh with a new name.

So according to this prophecy there is no way for us to recognize the second coming Christ because he would not have any physical signs in his appearance to reveal his divinity or we cannot know him even through his name Jesus because he is not coming with the name Jesus anymore. Rather, he is coming with a completely different name, hence the new name. In this situation, how can we know who the Christ is and accept him for the salvation. For that purpose, he brings one sign, that is, “Hidden Manna” as sure sign so that we may distinguish Christ from the ordinary men and also from many false christs and prophets.

    Manna, the Bread from Heaven

Then what is “hidden manna”? To understand this first we should know what manna is and then think about the meaning “hidden.” Then what is manna? Originally, manna was the bread from heaven given to the Israelites while they were travelling in the desert for 40 years after they came out of Egypt. The bread was given as sign of salvation so that people of Israel could provide themselves in the desert and survive.

Exodus 16:4   Then the Lord said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.

When people of Israel complained for the lack of food or water, God gave them bread from heaven so that they could eat and live in the desert. And people called this bread “manna.”

Exodus 16: 31   The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. 32 Moses said, “This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the wilderness when I brought you out of Egypt.

This was the origin of manna in the bible. Then in the last days will God rain down bread from heaven so that we can support ourselves for our physical life? Probably not.

    True Bread From Heaven

Then what is the true manna? Let us find out through the teachings of Jesus. To the Israelites of the time who was asking for the sign of Christ by giving them bread from heaven, Jesus teaches them the true manna that gives life for the soul (eternal life).

John 6:30   So they asked him, “What sign then will you give that we may see it and believe you? What will you do? 31 Our ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’” 32 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread from heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. 33 For the bread of God is the bread that comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

The Israelites were demanding a sign to prove that he is the Christ, God who came as man in the flesh to give them salvation. And they told Jesus to give them bread from heaven as sign just like what God had done in the time of Moses to save his people. To the people Jesus taught the true bread of God which gives eternal life to the people.

John 6:34   “Sir,” they said, “always give us this bread.” 35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

To the people who asked bread from heaven which could sustain their physical life, Jesus taught the true bread of God which can sustain the spiritual life by giving them eternal life. And he said that he was the bread from heaven, that is, he is spiritual manna.

John 6:48   I am the bread of life. 49 Your ancestors ate the manna in the wilderness, yet they died. 50 But here is the bread that comes down from heaven, which anyone may eat and not die. 51 I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

He taught them he was the spiritual manna from heaven that could give eternal life to them.

John 6:53   Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.

He taught them how to eat the spiritual manna to receive eternal life: you must eat my flesh and drink my blood. In other words, his flesh and blood was the spiritual manna that gives salvation to people.

    Hidden Manna
The Hidden Manna, the Passover of the New Covenant

     Passover, the Spiritual Manna

Then how can we eat his flesh and blood, the true manna? It is through the Passover. On the night of the Passover, Jesus took bread and wine which represents his flesh and blood and gave the blessings of forgiveness of sins and eternal life.

Through these teachings Jesus was teaching people that the true manna is Christ himself and the way we can eat the manna is to eat the bread and wine of the Passover which symbolize his flesh and blood. Therefore, the bread from heaven or manna is the Passover that gives us the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Just as God gave manna to the physical Israelites to sustain them their physical life in the desert, Christ (God) gave us the spiritual manna to the spiritual Israel people so that we can sustain our spiritual life in the spiritual desert of faith. 2000 years ago, Jesus himself taught this precious lesson that he is the bread from heaven which gives eternal life, but people deserted him and could not eat the true manna that could give them salvation. Only the twelve disciples took part in the Passover and ate the spiritual manna.

John 6:66   From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him. 67 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve. 68 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

    Hidden Manna

After receiving the spiritual manna from the Christ, the disciples of Jesus kept this Passover until 325 AD. However, in 325 in the council of Nicaea, Emperor Constantine abolished the Passover and since then the manna became hidden from the sight of man and nobody could eat the bread from heaven to receive the eternal life. But in the Book of Revelation, Christ already prophesied that he would come bringing the hidden manna back again. Therefore, the undeniable sign of Christ is the manna, the Passover of the new covenant which is going to be restored in the last days. Only through this Passover we can know the Christ who is appearing as stone without any outward distinguishable characteristics.

To fulfill this prophecy, Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the Passover of the new covenant which was abolished for about 1600 years since 325 AD. Finally, in our time he restored the hidden manna to give us eternal life through his flesh and blood. Then who is Christ Ahnsahnghong? Even though he came as stone by hiding his glory, through this sure sign of Christ we should know and recognize him as the true Christ who is coming with a new name. Even though he came from the small land of Korea, even though he worked as stone mason breaking stones, even though there was no beauty or majesty in his outward appearance, even though he lived an ordinary life without any significant title or authority, we must be able to see his divinity through the sign, “hidden manna” which only the Christ could bring to us according to the prophecy.

     God Coming as Man

People during the Chosun Dynasty in Korea could know the Messenger from King through the medallion with horses on it and they did need to have any more signs. In the same way, God gave the sure sign of Christ through which we can recognize the true Second Coming Christ. We can finally eat the bread from heaven that gives us eternal life. We should not lose this chance just like the Israelites who rejected Jesus Christ because of his outward appearance. We should not be deceived by the appearance of Christ Ahnsahnghong, but must look at the fulfillment of the prophecies of the bible. And we should be able to say like Peter, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”

Give thanks and praise to God Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem.

  • [WMSCOG] Feet-Washing Ceremony and Temple

    [WMSCOG] Feet-Washing Ceremony and Temple

Many of the teachings of God are sometimes beyond our comprehension. To destroy the wall of Jericho, God commanded his people to turn around the wall for seven days. To defeat the Median Army, God chose his army by observing how they drink water and gave them trumpets and torches to fight in a war. All these things does not make sense in the human understanding, but when God’s people obeyed him completely, they could see the work done according to the pleasing will of God. Then what about the feet-washing ceremony?

One of the similar commands of God is the feet-washing ceremony which Jesus practiced with his disciples just before the night of the Passover. It was so much incomprehensible even to the disciples and one of them even almost disobeyed Jesus’ teaching by refusing to have his feet washed during the ceremony. And receiving a warning from Jesus, immediately he let go of his thought and obeyed his teacher. Let us take a look at what happened at that time.

John 13:1    It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. 2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

Just before the Passover mean with bread and wine, Jesus poured water in a basin and started to wash the feet of the disciples. At that time, Apostle Peter refused to have his feet washed by Christ, thinking that it would be dishonorable for God to wash a sinner’s feet. He had a very respectful and reverent mind toward Jesus Christ and out of humility he did not want his teacher to wash his feet. However, when he realized that his opinion was different from the will of God, he changed his thought on the spot, following God’s commands.

John 13:6     He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, “Lord, are you going to wash my feet?” 7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” 8 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” 10 Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you.”

Christ washing the feet of the disciples before eating the Passover. What is the meaning of this ceremony?

When Jesus said that he could not have any part with Christ unless he let Christ wash his feet. He was alarmed because his only wish was to have everything with Christ. That is why he changed his mind as soon as Che knew that he was not acting according to the teachings of God. To teach that it was necessary for him to wash their feet, Jesus said, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.” This teaching is true to all the incomprehensible teachings of God found in the bible. God was teaching his people the same lesson over and over again, “Even though you don’t understand now, later you would know. Therefore, just for now, obey what I command.” He was asking the first virtue as God’s people, the complete obedience to the words of God.

Since Peter also realized the fact through the teachings of Christ, he could obey the teachings even though he could not fully understand the meaning of the ceremony at that time. Then what was the meaning of the feet washing ceremony? Why was it so important? Why should it be performed before the Passover? It would be graceful if we obey and have our feet washed before keeping the Passover even though we do not know the meaning of it. And also it would be even more graceful if we know and keep the ceremony. Therefore, now let us know the meaning behind it so that we may completely understand the ceremony and keep the ceremony with firm faith in God.

Just like all other laws and regulations of God, there was a regulation of feet washing in the Old Testament as copy and shadow which would be fulfilled by Christ in the New Testament.

Colossians 2:16   Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

Paul teaches that all the regulations of the Old Testament was only a copy and shadow and the reality was fulfilled by Christ. Therefore, let us take a look at the regulation of feet-washing in the past as copy and shadow and then find out how it was fulfilled by Christ. If we look at the model of sanctuary in the time of Moses, just before enter into the tabernacle God commanded to put a water basin so that the priest who entered the tabernacle could wash their hands and feet.

Exodus 30:17   17 Then the Lord said to Moses, 18 “Make a bronze basin, with its bronze stand, for washing. Place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it. 19 Aaron and his sons are to wash their hands and feet with water from it. 20 Whenever they enter the tent of meeting, they shall wash with water so that they will not die. Also, when they approach the altar to minister by presenting a food offering to the Lord, 21 they shall wash their hands and feet so that they will not die. This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants for the generations to come.”

God commanded to set up a water basin on the courtyard of the temple and he commanded the priests to wash their hands and feet before entering the temple.
God commanded that the priests, before entering the tent to serve God, must wash their hand and feet and otherwise they could be put to death. Therefore, it was a life-or-death regulation to the priests who had to constantly enter the tent day and night to serve God according to the law of God. And the bible says that this regulation in the Past was just a copy and shadow given to us to teach us the reality which can be found in Christ. Then what is the reality of all these? Let us first find out who the priests of God are.

1 Peter 2:4     As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— 5 you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. …….9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

The bible says that in the New Testament all the people of God are considered as priests of God who must serve God in the tabernacle. And therefore, just as priests must wash their hands and feet before entering the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place, we as priests must enter the Holy Place to serve God and before entering the tent we must also perform the ceremony of feet-washing.

Then what is the sanctuary at which we can serve God? Since we do not have a physical sanctuary or temple anymore, we must understand this spiritually. Then what is the spiritual temple or the reality of temple? Jesus let us know what the reality of temple is.

John 2:18    The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?” 19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” 20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21But the temple he had spoken of was his body.

During the baptism ceremony, Christ Jesus received the Holy Spirit which descended upon his body of temple. For this reason, we can say that the body of Christ worked as the temple of God where the Spirit of God dwells.
The temple is the place where the Spirit of God dwells. But when Jesus came down 2000 years ago, he put the Spirit of God in his body. Therefore, he called his body a temple because the Spirit of God was dwelling in his body. Through this we can understand the reality of the temple, the body of Christ. Then how can we enter the spiritual temple, the body of Christ to serve God? God gave us one regulation so that we could enter the spiritual temple, his body.

John 6:53   Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.

What does it mean, “We remain in God and God remain in us”? It means God’s people who ate the flesh and blood of God can spiritually enter into the temple of God to remain in it. Through this we can understand that eating Christ’s flesh and drinking his blood is the ceremony through which we can enter the body of Christ to remain in it. Then how can we eat his flesh and drink his blood? Through the Passover of the new covenant. Therefore, the Passover is the ceremony given to us to enter the spiritual temple the body of Christ to serve God. Then in the Old Testament what should the priests do before entering the temple of God? They should wash their hands and feet. In the same way, since we can enter the spiritual temple of God through the Passover, before the Passover what should we do? We must wash our hands and feet. But Jesus said those who washed already need to wash only their feet.

John 13:10    Jesus answered, “Those who have had a bath need only to wash their feet; their whole body is clean.

Then what is the meaning of bath? It is the baptism they should receive before keeping the Passover. In the Old Testament, to keep the Passover all the males must be circumcised in advance. And Paul teaches that the spiritual circumcision is the baptism. Therefore, before the Passover, we must spiritually get circumcised by receiving the baptism. Figuratively Jesus compared the baptism to bath. Since we already took bath through the baptism, we need to wash only our feet.
Spiritually, the Passover is the ceremony through which we enter into Christ’s body of temple to remain in Christ. That is why Christ taught the disciples to wash their feet before eating the Passover.
We must now realize the mind of Peter when he said, “not just my feet, but my hands head, too.” How much eagerly he wanted to have a relationship with Christ. God commanded us to have our feet washed and enter his body of temple to be blessed with forgiveness and eternal life. Now we must listen to the teachings of God by getting rid of our own thoughts just like Peter. Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother gave their flesh and blood to lead us into the Most Holy Place of the temple for salvation. Now let us keep the Passover with a thankful mind. It is not late.

  • [WMSCOG] The Will Or Covenant Of God

[WMSCOG] The Will Or Covenant Of God

    Will of God

Even though there was a very disobedient son, he would listen to the last words of his dying parents and try to accomplish them. Also, even though there was a person who was seldom listened to while he was living, people would pay attention to his last words. The last words left by a person are considered as something important or even sacred that we should listen to even though the person who are giving those words might be a complete stranger to us. And the bible says that we also might have been a very disobedient son to our spiritual parents, but we must listen to the will or the last words of our spiritual parents to fulfill them.

Then what is the will of God that we must listen to?

Hebrews 9:16 In the case of a will (or a covenant), it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, 17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living.

The Old Covenant and the New Covenant

Old Covenant Made with the Blood of a Lamb

Here Paul explains about the meaning of a will and shows that it takes effect after the death of the testator. Another word for “will” is a testament and thus the bible itself can be considered as a will since it is called a testament, an Old Testament and New Testament whose testator is God himself. Just as Paul explains, a will or testament can take effect only when the testator died. In the same way, God gave his will with his blood or death to enforce the terms of his will.

Hebrews 9:18   This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.

God proclaimed his will or the covenant for his people to bless them and give them the Promised Land as inheritance. And to make his will set in force the one who made the will or the covenant, that is, God himself must die and to symbolize his death he ordered his people to shed the blood of animals, especially a lamb calling the blood as his own blood to represent his own sacrifice and death.

Even today the Jews keep the Passover with the sacrifice of a lamb to keep the covenant God gave them through Moses.

Exodus 34:25    “You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover remain until the morning.

To the blood of the Passover lamb, God said that it is not just the blood of a lamb, but his own blood he shed to put into effect his will or the covenant he made with his people so that they could receive the full blessings promised in the covenant. Therefore, we can say that the bible is a promissory note God wrote with his own blood and everything in it would take effect according to the terms recorded in it to his people who receives this promise. The Old Testament was the will given to the physical Israelites with the blood of animals to make it effective. But this will was not the reality, but a shadow to teach the reality, that is, the New Testament or the new covenant which would be established with his own blood, not through the blood of animals.

New Covenant Made with the Blood of Christ, the Lamb of God

Relation Between the New Covenant and Old Covenant

Hebrews 10:1     The law (or the old covenant) is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves.

    And also it is written:

Colossians 2:16     Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. 17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ.

The old covenant which was made with the blood of animals was only a shadow given to us to teach us the reality, that is, the new covenant which would be put into full effect through the death of Christ by shedding his own blood. The blood of the lamb in the past was given until the time when the Christ who is the reality of the lamb would appear and make a covenant with his people through his own blood. Therefore, the Old Testament was given as shadow to lead us to Christ who would come and give us a New Testament or the new will to give us the true blessings of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
Since the bible itself is the will of God, how much more we should listen to the words of God in the bible. Even when a man makes a will, people listens to it. Then how about the will of God? We must listen to his will and make every effort to make his will come true. That is the way we can also remain in the terms of the covenant to receive the blessings contained in the terms.

What is the New Covenant by Jesus?

Then what is the will of God that we should listen to and keep? As we have already seen above, another word which can represent “the will” is the covenant. The covenant and the will means the same in this context. The original Greek word for “will” in Hebrews 9:16 is “διαθήκη diathēkē,” which means covenant or will (or testament). Therefore, by looking at the covenant Jesus made we can know the will of God, his last wish that we must listen to and obey. Then what was the covenant he made with his own blood?
On the night of the Passover he made a covenant with his disciples and gave his words of promise so that they could receive blessings of the eternal inheritance in heaven. And to make his covenant or will come true, he sacrificed himself by his death on the cross.

Luke 22:15      And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.

And also he says about the Passover they were eating on the night:

Luke 22:19      And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

Jesus came as Lamb of God and sacrificed himself by shedding his own blood and gave us the new covenant or will that we have to keep.

    Passover, the Will of God

Therefore, the covenant or the will Jesus made with his people was the new covenant of the Passover. After making his will, he died on the cross to put his will in force so that his people who kept the terms of the will would receive blessings promised in the terms. That is why Paul says that Christ was sacrificed as the Passover lamb to fulfill the covenant promised in the Passover.

1 Corinthians 5:7   Get rid of the old yeast, so that you may be a new unleavened batch—as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed.

Through all these things we can confirm that the will Jesus made with his people 2000 years ago is the words he promised in the Passover. The Passover was the last will of God he wanted us to keep so that we can be blessed by him. Let us confirm that the new covenant of the Passover was the will of God and through the Passover God’s people can receive the eternal inheritance of the heaven as heir of God.
The will is given to an heir in this world and the heir can inherit the estate in accordance with the terms of the will of the testator. It is the same with the will given by Jesus and confirmed through his death on the cross. His people were cast out from heaven to this earth because of their sins and were destined to die because of the wages of the sins. Their inheritance in heaven was taken away including all the positions given to them as heirs of God and the eternal life they could enjoy in heaven. On this earth, they were living a life of pain and sufferings and they were under the agony of death until the sentence would be carried out. And in this miserable life they had no hope for the eternal life.

The Last Wish of God, Keeping the New Covenant

To this gloomy and dark world, Christ came and he took up all our sins. And through his death on the cross he cancelled all our sins and gave us the forgiveness of sins and freedom from the slavery of death granting us eternal life through the new covenant of the Passover. And he opened the way for the heavenly kingdom again so that we could go back to our eternal inheritance as heir of God. All these blessings are promised in the new covenant of the Passover. Therefore, we can conclude that the new covenant of the Passover is the true will of God that we must keep. We must listen to his earnest voice for our salvation.

1 Corinthians 11:23   For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

Again and again he is teaching us to keep the new covenant of the Passover and after giving us these words of covenant, he died on the cross right the day after the Passover to put the words of promise in effect. Therefore, the most precious truth that we must keep is the new covenant of the Passover.
    Passover the law of life
Jesus and His Disciples Keeping Passover

    Restoration of the New Covenant

Even though Jesus gave his will through his death, the will of God was forgotten by his people by the deceptive works of Satan. Instead of keeping the Passover, Satan deceived people to follow the Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, and all other man-made festivals which contain no promise of God for the blessings. What blessings can we find in Christmas? Is there any promise of the forgiveness of sins or eternal life? No. But people’s eyes and minds are covered up and they do not realize that they are nothing but useless things made by man.
Now God is teaching us again to open our spiritual eyes and know the truth of the new covenant. To this dark and gloomy world, Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother came to us and now they are teaching us to listen to the terms of the covenant of God so that we can be blessed by God. Even at this moment they are shedding their own blood again to give us the forgiveness of sins and calling us to come back to God leaving the way of sins behind. Now we must gather again on Mount Zion and renew our covenant with God by keeping the new covenant of the Passover which God made with his own blood.

Psalm 50:1    1 The Mighty One, God, the Lord,
speaks and summons the earth    from the rising of the sun to where it sets.2 From Zion, perfect in beauty,
    God shines forth.
    3 Our God comes
    and will not be silent;
    a fire devours before him,
and around him a tempest rages.
4 He summons the heavens above,
and the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 “Gather to me this consecrated people,    who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”

    Keep the New Covenant

Those who want to be under the terms of covenant of God must gather together in Zion, the city of God’s festivals and must keep the festivals of God. This is the time of harvest when all the good seeds are gathered together into the heavenly barn. Only those who made covenant with God through the blood of Christ in the Passover can be considered as sons of heaven and they can go back to heaven. Come to Zion, to World Mission Society Church of God (WMSCOG), to the Heavenly Jerusalem, to the City of Living God, to the firstborns of the heaven, to the place where God Elohim grants eternal life to their children.
  • [WMSCOG] Covenant Made With Blood

Even though we are sinners, God gave the forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life through the blood of God by establishing the new covenant. Let us find out the true value of this new covenant.

Romans 6:23   For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

All the people on this earth lives life of pain and suffering and the end that is waiting for them is the death. Nobody can escape the death penalty and it is because everyone on this earth committed sin in heaven and because of the sin all of them are given death penalty.

Romans 5:12   Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned.

For this reason, all the people on this earth is under the slavery of sin and death. While all the people have been mourning and groaning under the slavery, God remembered them and planned his work for the salvation.

Exodus 2:23   23 During that long period, the king of Egypt died. The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and he remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.

When God’s people were under the slavery and going through sufferings, God remembered them and took pity upon them. And he made a covenant with them to set them free from the slavery. So God’s people who kept the covenant with God could be set free and receive the land of Canaan for their inheritance. Then what was the covenant God made with them? How did God make the covenant? It was called “the old covenant” which God established with his own blood. He commanded his people to keep the Passover by shedding the blood of a lamb and putting the blood on the door frames. When Israelites kept the Passover, they could receive freedom from the slavery. And the blood that gave them freedom was not just the blood of a lamb, but God let them know that it is actually his own blood he shed for his people to give them freedom.

Exodus 34:25   Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leaven; neither shall the sacrifice of the feast of the passover be left unto the morning. (KJV)

The sacrifice of the Lamb on the day of the Passover was in reality the sacrifice of God himself. God shed his own blood and made a covenant with his people to give them freedom. And this law of the Passover in the old covenant was given to us as copy and shadow to let us know the reality to be fulfilled by Christ who is the reality of the Lamb.

Christ came as sacrificial lamb and shed his own blood and established the new covenant. Then why did he shed blood on the cross? It is because of our sin. Just as God’s people are under the slavery in the time of Moses, now God’s people are under the spiritual slavery of sin and death. After this momentary and meaningless life on this earth is over, everyone must be put to death. But God remembered their pain and suffering, and took pity upon them.

Just as he made a covenant with his people in the old days to set them free, now he made another covenant which is called a new covenant with his people to set them free from the slavery of sin and death.

Hebrews 8:7   For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.
8 But God found fault with the people and said:
“The days are coming, declares the Lord,
when I will make a new covenantwith the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.

Then how did he make the new covenant and why?

Matthew 26:26  While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”  27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the (new) covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. (Look also at Luke 22:20)

On the night of the Passover Christ Jesus made a covenant with his flesh and blood and called it as “the new covenant” in the Book of Luke Chapter 22. God fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah by coming down to this earth to the land of sin and death and by establishing the new covenant with his own blood to give the forgiveness of sins, that is the freedom from the slavery of sins and death. He cancelled our sins through his blood and saved his people from the pain of eternal death so that they can have eternal life. Then why was it necessary for God to shed his own blood? The sins of people could be nullified only through the blood or the death of the person who committed sins.

Hebrews 9:22   In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

For the sinner to be forgiven of his own sin there is only one way, that is, the shedding of his own blood or his death. But how can a sinner live if he was already put to death according to the penalty? That is why a sinner cannot cancel his sins by his own blood. Therefore, a sinner need a someone who could be given as ransom for his sins and who would die on behalf of him so that his sins could be forgiven. For that purpose God himself came down to this earth and shed his blood to give forgiveness for the sins of his people.

1 Timothy 2:3   This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave himself as a ransom for all people.

Christ gave his own body as ransom so that our sins could be forgiven. Therefore, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament, the covenant God made with his people by shedding his own blood is the Passover. God’s people in the Old Testament kept the Passover with the blood of lamb as the sign of the covenant with God. In the same way, in the New Testament We also as God’s people must keep the Passover of the new covenant with bread and wine which represents Christ’s flesh and blood which he shed on the cross for the forgiveness of sins of his people so that they could be set free from the slavery of sins and death. Therefore, only those whose sins are forgiven through the blood of Christ can be considered as his people and they can receive the eternal inheritance of the spiritual Canaan, the Kingdom of Heaven.

The bible says God is gather his people who made the covenant with blood of sacrifice. What is the blood of sacrifice we must receive to remain in the covenant of God? It is the Passover.

Psalm 50:1 The Mighty One, God, the Lord,
    speaks and summons the earth
from the rising of the sun to where it sets.
2 From Zion, perfect in beauty,
    God shines forth.
    3 Our God comes
    and will not be silent;
    a fire devours before him,
and around him a tempest rages.
4 He summons the heavens above,
and the earth, that he may judge his people:
5 “Gather to me this consecrated people,    who made a covenant with me by sacrifice.”6 And the heavens proclaim his righteousness,
for he is a God of justice.

God’s people are those who made a covenant with God by sacrifice or the blood of the lamb of the Passover. Once this precious truth of the Passover which Christ established with his blood to give us the forgiveness of sins was abolished by the work of Satan in 325 AD. But God heard the groaning of his people and took a pity upon them. He shed his own blood by coming down to this earth for the second time to give us the forgiveness of sins so that we can be set free.

Psalm 102:19   “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high,
from heaven he viewed the earth,
20 to hear the groans of the prisoners    and release those condemned to death.”21 So the name of the Lord will be declared in Zion
    and his praise in Jerusalem
22 when the peoples and the kingdoms
    assemble to worship the Lord.

Christ Ahnsahnghong came down to this earth for the second time and established Zion, the city of God’s festivals and he restored the new covenant of the Passover so that we can receive the forgiveness of sins by the blood of covenant given by God. In the World Mission Society Church of God, we are keeping the Passover and receive the blood of Christ for the forgiveness of sins. We must remember that nobody on this earth can cancel his own sins with his own blood and can have eternal life; for this reason, we had to wait for the Christ to appear so that our sins could be forgiven through the blood of Christ who was to give himself as ransom for the sins of his people. Now Christ has appeared to the sinners to give them salvation. Come to Zion and keep the Passover. Then your sins can be forgiven through the blood of the new covenant Christ made with his people and you would be God’s people who can receive salvation. Give thanks to Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem!
  • [WMSCOG] Remain In Me And I In You

Today let us think about how we can remain in God. Jesus taught his disciples about the importance of remaining in God. One day Jesus who was the master for the disciples brought a water basin and started to wash the feet of the disciples. Peter who believed Jesus to be God who came as man in the flesh could not let Jesus wash his feet who are a mere sinner. So he rejected what Jesus was trying to do to him, and said that Jesus should not wash his feet because it is a servile work belonging to a servant.

Jn 13:8   “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” 9 “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!

When Jesus said that he who did not wash his feet had nothing to do with him, Peter was alarmed because he wanted to have every part with Christ so he immediately changed his thought and asked Jesus to wash his head and body as well as feet if that is that much important. Sharing a part with someone who is important to you is natural for both of them. That is why Peter more than anything else wanted to share every part with Christ. This is also a teaching of Christ too. He taught us that if we are the disciples of Christ, we must share everything with him. And we should be completely one with Christ by sharing everything with Christ.

John 15:4   Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. 5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Jesus emphasized over and over again that God’s people must remain in him and then they can bear much fruit and give glory to God. If they do not remain in him, they are like dead branches which would be thrown into fire. It means to receive salvation we must remain in Christ and Christ must remain in us. When we remain in God we can receive abundant blessings from God just as a branch can receive a lot of water and nutrients from the vine when it remain in the vine. Then how can we have Christ in us?

1 John 2:24   As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.

How can we remain in Christ and Christ in us? Christ said we must have in us what we have heard from the beginning. Then what was it that the disciples heard from the beginning?

1 John 2:7   Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard.

What is the thing that they had already heard and known even from the beginning? What they had already heard is “the message” or the commands of God which Jesus taught them. Therefore, to remain in Christ, we must remain in the words of God and the words of God remain in us. Then we can remain in Christ.

1 John 3:24   The one who keeps God’s commands lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know that he lives in us: We know it by the Spirit he gave us.

Therefore, it is the words of God that must remain in us and if we remain in the words of God by obeying the words, then we can remain in God and God in us. Then what is the commands of God we must have in us? In the past, God gave the old covenant to the physical Israelites, but for the spiritual Israelites God gave a new covenant. The new covenant is the words of God that must remain in us and we must remain in by obeying it.

Jeremiah 31:31 “The days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“when I will make a new covenantwith the people of Israel
and with the people of Judah.
32 It will not be like the covenant
    I made with their ancestors
when I took them by the hand
to lead them out of Egypt,
    because they broke my covenant,
    though I was a husband to[d] them,[e]”
    declares the Lord.
33 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel
after that time,” declares the Lord.
I will put my law in their minds    and write it on their hearts.I will be their God,    and they will be my people.

The law of God that we must remain in and that must remain in us is the new covenant and through the new covenant we can become God’s people who can receive salvation. Therefore, the message we already heard which should remain in us is the word of God in the new covenant. When the new covenant is in us, we can remain in God and God in us. Let us confirm how God remain in us through the new covenant.

Luke 22:19   And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” 20 In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.

On the night of the Passover, Jesus gave bread and wine which symbolizes his flesh and blood and he established the new covenant through his flesh and blood. Then why did he give the new covenant of the Passover? Through the new covenant Christ can remain in us and we can remain in Christ.

57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me.

What is the promise of Christ in the new covenant? Through the new covenant of the Passover, his flesh and blood can remain in his people and his people can remain in Christ because they belongs to Christ through his flesh and blood. By eating his flesh and blood we can become his people and he gives eternal life to everyone who belongs to him. This is the blessing of the new covenant. Through the new covenant we can have everything with Christ and we can become one body with Christ. (1 Corinthians 10:17) Since we are one with Christ, just as God put his Spirit in Christ, God will put his Holy Spirit in us too who have become one with Christ. And through the Spirit in us we can have eternal life.

John 6:63    The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit and life.

In conclusion the words of God is the Spirit that gives life. And to those who heard the words of God and obeyed his commands, God puts his Spirit in them and they can remain in God and God in them. And the words that we must have in us is the words of God in the new covenant. When we keep the Passover of the new covenant, Christ’s flesh and blood (or the word of God) can remain in us and through the words of God in us we can receive salvation, the eternal life. This mysterious work of God’s salvation is hidden in the new covenant of the Passover. Therefore, we must keep the new covenant of the Passover.

Even though there is no other church on this earth which keeps the new covenant of the Passover according to all the regulations of the Passover, there is only one church which keeps the truth of the new covenant including the feet washing ceremony which Peter rejected to receive at first. This is the World Mission Society Church of God or WMSCOG, which was established by the Second Coming Christ Ahnsahnghong. He restored the new covenant of the Passover so that his people can remain in him and him in them. And he let us know the true reality of the new covenant, the Heavenly Jerusalem our Mother who is the true source of eternal life. Let us keep the new covenant of the Passover by obeying the words of God so that we may remain in God bearing many fruits. Amen
