People say that the land is honest. It repays the farmer according to what he has done. If he has worked hard plowing and enriching the soil for the crops, he can expect good harvest in the end. However, if a farmer has done nothing for the crops and the field is abandoned—filled with weeds, then he can never expect good harvest.
Spiritually it is the same. Those who worked hard for the gospel, sowing the seeds and watering them by preaching the gospel, he will harvest abundantly. But those who wasted his time idling will end up with empty hands.
God says that he would repay according to what each person has done in his life.
Jeremiah 17:10 “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
Revelation 22:12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.”
Now has the time of harvest came and God called us to be the harvesters to gather all the crops. We should be faithful servants of God who work diligently for the harvest, looking forward to the reward God promised in heaven. Despite being small, God will reward abundantly for every good things that we have done for the gospel on this earth.
