Sometimes, we might ask of our faith in God. How far am I from God? And how far am I from the devil? How can we know our distance from God and the Devil?
We can imagine a situation of a man standing between two objects which exist at either end of the man opposite from each other. One is on the right side of the man and the other on the left. Then we can know the distance of the man from those objects easily. If the man is moving away from one object, automatically he is moving closer to the other object and vice versa.
Our distance from God and the Devil is the same. God and Devil are standing at the opposite sides from each other. God is in heaven and the Devil is in hell which is exactly opposite of heaven. Therefore, if we are moving toward God, our distance to the Devil becomes greater. And when we move toward the devil, our distance toward God gets bigger and bigger.
Therefore, to know our distance from God and Devil, we have to ask ourselves where we are moving to. We must move toward God by obeying the words of God and doing the will of God. In that way, we can move away from the Devil. Let us watch ourselves and we must make sure that we are moving toward God.
God is waiting for us and calling us to come toward heaven: ‘Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues.
First, it is hatched in the shallow freshwater and later it goes out into the ocean. For two years or more, it stays in the ocean migrating all around the vast seas. Finally, when it is the time for them to lay eggs, they make a long journey back to their home to the shallow freshwater where they were hatched many years ago. This is the story of salmons.
What is amazing in their life story is the way they find their way back home. Once a man found a salmon among a group of salmons which were heading back upward the river to their home. What was strange about it was that it had unusually protruded eyes and he sent it to scientists for study. And they have found out nothing wrong with it except that it had very poor eyesight. How could a salmon with eyes almost blind travel around the oceans and find its way back home?
It is said that salmons have a technology in it through which it can find the exact direction to the place it was born, what is called “homing instinct”. It is assumed that salmons can find their way home through two mechanisms. First, people say that they imprint the smell of the environment where they were born and later the ocean near their birth place. And also they said to use the earth’s magnetic field to find the way.
Pigeons and Magnetite
This kind of homing instinct can be found in birds too. Many migratory birds has a certain substance in its neurons in the brain and through this they can find their way home. This phenomenon is called “magnetoreception” since those birds use the magnetic field of the earth to find direction. One of the birds with this amazing technology in it is a pigeon. Scientists says that a pigeon has a sensor which uses “magnetite”-“a magnetic iron mineral that could act as tiny compass needles”. This mineral contained in the neurons of the brain of the bird makes it possible for the bird to find its way home in whatever circumstances it is.
What Is Imprinted In Us
God has imprinted an ability to find the way back home to these creatures. It is the same with us. God has imprinted in us something that we can find our way back home.
Ecclesiastes 3:11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
On this earth everything has its time and it looks glorious at that time. However, sooner or later its glory vanishes and it dies. As human beings, we cannot be satisfied with this temporary glory. We all have yearning for the better. And the bible teaches the reason for those yearnings. It is because God has imprinted in us “eternity”. Since we have eternity in our hearts, we can never be satisfied with the temporary things of the earth. And we yearn for a better country, our eternal home. We are created to long for the eternal home, the kingdom of heaven.
When we are wanderers on this earth without knowing where to go, Christ Ahnsahnghong and Heaven Mother came to us. They taught us about our home heaven and opened the way to the eternal home. Now I know how happy I am to know what I have been seeking for. Thanks to Father and Mother.
The very first thing that Jesus did when he began his ministry was preaching the gospel. “Gospel” means good news because the new of the salvation in the kingdom of heaven is contained in the gospel. Therefore, this gospel has utmost importance in the providence of God for salvation.
Let us first understand what kind of blessings are contained in the gospel. The gospel has the promise of God in it.
Ephesians 3:6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
Paul specifies three blessings promised in the gospel. Through the gospel, first, we, who are once called Gentiles who do not know God, can become heirs or the children of God. And second, through the gospel, we can be the members of one body together in Christ. Lastly, through the gospel we can be under the promise God gave to his people for the salvation.
These are the blessings God promised in the gospel. In short, all the blessings we need for salvation is contained in the gospel. Gospel allows us to be one body in Christ as head and to be the children of God who can inherit the kingdom of heaven, and also to participate in the promise of God.
What is the True Gospel?
Therefore, we have to know what the gospel is. Sadly, however, even though there are many churches in this world which claim that they preach the gospel, we cannot find the truth in them. All of these churches teaches different doctrines from one another. It is hard to find the true gospel. Since God warned us that we have to know and follow the true gospel and, if not, we will be cursed rather than be blessed by God. (Galatians 1:6)
Then what is the true gospel? What is the truth that we should obey to participate in the true gospel? The bible teaches the Passover is the core of the gospel. Then let us see how the Passover can be the essential element of the gospel.
Gospel and the Passover
First Blessing of the Gospel and the Passover
The Passover makes us eligible for the first blessing of the gospel that the Gentiles becomes heirs together with Israel. As we can see in this world, who can become an heir in the family? It is the children, right? In the same way, we can become the heirs of God? It is God’s children.
Romans 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Then how can we be the children of God? It is through the Passover. If we look at the family system in this world, the children receive the same flesh and blood of the parents. In the same way, to be the children of God, we have to receive the flesh and blood of God. When we have the flesh and blood of God in us, we become the children of God, which make us the heirs of God. Then how can we receive the flesh and blood of God?
Matthew 26:26 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
While keeping the Passover (Matthew 26:17), Jesus sealed his words of promise on the bread and wine of the Passover. By participating in the bread and wine of the Passover, we can participate in the flesh and blood of Jesus and we can become the children of God as Jesus, who was called the Son of God. We can become sons and daughters of God.
Second Blessing of the Gospel and the Passover
What about the second blessing that we can be members together in one body? Now let me explain how we can be members together in one body through the Passover. The Passover is the ceremony through which we can eat the flesh and drink the blood of Christ. Since all of us participate in the same flesh and blood of Christ, we become one body in Christ.
I Corinthians 10:16 Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all share the one loaf.
Paul clearly teaches that, since we participate in the body and blood of Christ through the bread and wine of the Passover, we can become one body in Christ. Even though we are given different talents as the members of body, still we are working together as one in Christ.
Romans 12:4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.
Third Blessing of the Gospel and the Passover
Third, we can receive the promise of God through the Passover. First, what is the promise of God for the children? It is eternal life. (1 John 2:25) Then how can we receive eternal life? Again, it is through the Passover.
John 6:53 Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.
Jesus teaches that we can participate in the promise of eternal life when we eat his flesh and drink his blood. The only way we can eat and drink the flesh and blood of Jesus is through the Passover. By eating the Passover, we can receive the promise God gave to the children: eternal life.
Passover, the Fulfillment of the Gospel
In this sense, the Passover is the fulfillment of all the blessings promised in the gospel. And the Passover is the completion of the salvation God planned for the children. Therefore, the true gospel we have to obey is the Passover.
Even though there are many churches in this world, there is only one church which keeps the Passover. That is World Mission Society Church of God, or WMSCOG, established by the second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong. The Passover is drawing near. Come to the Church of God and keep the festival. And you will understand and know the mystery that was hidden since the creation of the world, which God prepared for the salvation of the children.

175 overseas members of World Mission Society Church of God from 10 different countries visited Korea are conveying “the message of hope for the prosperity and well-being of the global community”.
It was the year 2000 when the Church of God started to receive overseas visiting members in earnest. Up to the 73rd group, about 1,500 members had been visiting Korea every year. For the members of over 7,000 Churches of God in 175 countries, Korea is the country where God the Father and God the Mother, who are testified in the Bible, have appeared. So their visit to Korea is a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and a great blessing. Although foreigners’ visits to Korea decreased due to the outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in 2015, about 240 members from 23 countries visited Korea and over 2,000 members came to Korea in 2016 alone.

They visited many different places around the city of Seoul and they were amazed by the speed Korea achieved for its economic growth. A visiting members said, “”It’s taken quite a long time for the United States to develop into a great power as it is now. However, Korea has achieved rapid growth in a very short period of time. Some parts seem to have developed more than the U.S.”.
And also the overseas visiting members of the Church of God shared “a message of hope for the New Year” being united with the love of Mother.
“I’m deeply moved that our Church members from all over the world with different languages and cultures are united in Mother’s love. If you don’t care about other people and only think of yourself, you miss something important ― love. Among many types of love, a mother’s love is the one that can change people, and those who are changed through it can make the world beautiful,” said Michael Miller from New York, U.S.

Mother’s Street Movement Around The World
I read some interesting news articles about Mother’s Street, a world-wide cleanup campaign held by the churches of God around the world. While reading these news articles, I was reminded of one verse from the Book of Isaiah: “Prepare the way for the Lord.” Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother prepared this event for us so that we can take part in revealing the glory of God through this event. Let us join with a joyful and thankful mind so that we can share the love of God to our neighbors and people of the world. Let us take part in preparing the way for Jerusalem that she be the praise of the earth.
Mother’s Street Movement–For the past two weeks, members of the Church of God in 175 countries have picked up trash along enough roads to circle the earth, in what it calls the “Mother’s Street” worldwide cleanup. It culminated Sunday….The name “Mother’s Street” stems from the church’s belief that God is the mother and the father, spokeswoman Nahely Molina said. “We want to be able to share the love of a mother,” Molina said. “We want to embody the love of Christ, and that’s why we’re here. When Christ came 2000 years ago, his coming and all his works were the fulfillments of prophecies. His coming as man in the flesh, his birth in Bethlehem, his preaching from Galilee and his death on the cross, all these were done to accomplish what was written in the bible. That is why to Peter who tried to stop the men from the high priest arresting him he said:
Matthew 26:52 “Put your sword back in its place,” Jesus said to him, “for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. 53 Do you think I cannot call on my Father, and he will at once put at my disposal more than twelve legions of angels? 54 But how then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen in this way?”
He wanted to fulfill the prophecies of the bible and finish all the works assigned to them so that people can trust in him. Then how about his second coming? He already taught us that he would come on the clouds of heaven, which means that he would come back as man in the flesh, hiding his spiritual glory in the flesh. And also he let us know the time of his coming too so that we can know and receive him when he comes to fulfill the prophecies.
Noah’s Flood and the Destruction with water
Noah’s Time
Let us take a look at the prophecy concerning the time of his coming so that we can know the time of his coming. Many people says the time and date cannot be known because Jesus himself taught us that only God knows the time and date. Then let us read carefully to understand the true meaning so that we would not misunderstand the meaning.
Matthew 24:36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.
His coming is compared to the time of Noah. Therefore, to understand his coming we must understand the time of Noah. In the time of Noah men grew wicked in the eyes of God and God decided to destory mankind completely with flood. And finally the flood came and destroyed everybody: Except for Noah. Nobody knew the time and date of coming disasters, but Noah and his family was warned in advance and they could get prepared by building a huge ark.
Genesis 7:4 4 Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.” 5 And Noah did all that the Lord commanded him.
God let Noah know the coming disaster long time before so he could build the ark and also 7 days before the flood God let Noah know that he would send rain for 40 days to destroy all the living things from the earth. In the world of wickedness Noah was considered as righteous man and he was given the time of disasters and he could save himself. Then can we say that nobody should know the time and date? It is not true. To those who are to be destroyed the time and date are not known, but to those who are to be saved God already let them know the time and date. Let us confirm this through Lot’s story.
Noah knew the time of the flood and he prepared for the disaster by building the ark God commanded him to make.
Lot’s Time
Luke 17:28 “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. 29 But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
Again Jesus compared his coming to the time of Lot. At the moment people were not aware of any coming disasters and living their daily lives in peace, the disasters came and completely destroyed them. People were taken by surprise when they were not prepared. But is it the complete story? No. As you can already guess, Noah and his family could save themselves. Then why? Because they were warned in advance and they could escape the disaster to save themselves.
Genesis 19:12 12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.” 14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking. 15 With the coming of dawn, the angels urged Lot, saying, “Hurry! Take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away when the city is punished.” 16 When he hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and of his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for the Lord was merciful to them. 17 As soon as they had brought them out, one of them said, “Flee for your lives! Don’t look back, and don’t stop anywhere in the plain! Flee to the mountains or you will be swept away!”
In the time of Lot, God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah along with all the people in them becuase of their wickedness, but Lot was considered as righteous in the eyes of God and he could save himself because he was warned in advance so that he and his family would escape from the disasters. Then what do these stories tell us? Through these we can know God already warns his people in advance so that they can get prapred before the coming disasters. Therefore, there are two types of people and two types of stories: first, those who do not know the time and date and are to be destroyed by the disasters, and second those who know and are to be saved.
The Destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah
Apotles’ Understanding
1 Thessalonians 5:1 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.
There is a group of people who will face the day of God unexpectedly and they will not be able to escape the coming disasters. But there is another group of people who will meet the day of the Lord prepared and save themselves out of disasters. Then how would it be possible for them to escape the disasters? It is because they would be warned beforehand so that they could get prepared.
2 Peter 3:10 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
Here Apostle Peter teaches the same thing. For those who do not know the time the day of the Lord will come like thief when they are not prepared, and will destroy them. But for those who know the day, the day is the day of redemption and salvation and the day is the day when they will go to the kingdom of heaven.
Jesus gave us a lot of prophecies about his second coming. Now we should learn his teaching from the bible that we can prepare for his second coming. The bible already teaches about his coming and provide all the information we need to find out who he is.
Conclusion
Therefore, when Jesus gave his teachings of the day of his coming, he was separating two types of people: People like Noah and Lot and People who were destroyed. In short, the bible teaches that there are two groups of peoples: those who are to be saved and those who are to be destroyed. To those who are to be destroyed the time and date will not be known and they will get destroyed unprepared. But those who know the time and date will be given time to get prepared so that they would receive salvation.
Then in what group would like to be in? Those who know or those who do not know? Through the prophecies of the bible we must know the time and date and get prepared so that we can receive salvation. World Mission Society Church of God invites you to come and have knowledge about Christ’s Coming so that you can save yourself. Even though Satan works hard to cover the glory of God in the gospel, now the true gospel of the new covenant of Passover is being preached throughout the world.
Give glory to Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and Heavenly Mother New Jerusalem!
I read a news article which compliments the work of churches of God around the world. The churches of God throughout the world are shining the glory of the heavenly Father and Mother through many volunteer activities to change the society with the love of God Elohim. Now even the general public are recognizing the efforts of the church of God and give its right recommendations throughout the world. On February 15 this year, one religion columnist from the Sunday Newspaper in Korea wrote an article about the churches of God. It reads:

The churches in Korea are in the time of crisis. The public recognition on the church is growing weaker and the number of members are decreasing conspicuously compared to other religions. Moreover, churches in Korea are criticized by the public because of the dishonesty of some leading overseers of the churches, and the words and acts of the leaders and members of the churches which do not conform to the teachings of Christ. The shameful behaviors of the leaders of the protestant churches cover the front pages of the newspaper everyday……..
Churches should worry about the things happening in the society, but today the public are worried about things that are happening in the churches. Even though this abnormal phenomenon in the churches makes the Christians sad, the decades of the gospel work of the World Mission Society Church of God which is working with the motto of “the salvation of the 70 billion people” makes the Church of God prominent and provide the bright light of hope against the deary backdrop of the general Korean churches.
What is the love of God which the saints of the church of God want to resemble? The church of God is known to believe in God the Mother as well as God the Father. “As a mother gives love without any limit for the children, God the Mother gives endless love and sacrifice for the life and salvation of all the people of the world” and the saints of the church want to learn and follow such love of God the Mother….
I feel truly satisfied at seeing the churches of God spreading in Korea and all throughout the world. In the middle of spiritual chaos caused by the faction inside a church, social and political struggles of a church outside the boundary of the spiritual life, the lawlessness of religious leaders, and insubstantial arguments to cover the lack of the knowledge of the bible, is there any other church which march toward the great vision of ‘the salvation of the 70 billion people’?
