The Parable of the Fig Tree and Christ Ahnsahnghong

Through the parable of the fig tree, God teaches us about the time when he comes for the second time. When the fig tree gives out the new twigs and leaves, he said that he would come. What is the fig tree? If the fig tree means the actual tree that we can find around us, it revives again every year. Therefore, if he comes according to the fig tree, he must appear not just a second time. Since it has passed about 2000 years since the Christ’s first coming, he must have appeared 2000 times. But the bible prophesies only his second coming and no more than that.

Therefore, just like other stories in the bible, this lesson of the fig tree is also parabolical. And we have to know the figurative meaning of the lesson. What is the fig tree? Matthew 24:32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it (or he) is near, right at the door.
