Where are the Words of God Coming From?

What is the true commands of God?

According to the bible, the most important characteristic of the saints of God in the last days is obeying the commands of God. For this reason, knowing the commands of God is critical for the salvation.

Today there are so many churches teaching different doctrines. How can we know which is true and not true? Let us find answer for the question.

Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. 3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes.

Among many features of the 144000, the most important one is following the Lamb or the Christ wherever he is leading them to. This means that as sheep of God they listen to and obey the voice of God completely. In other words, they keep the commands of God with a complete obedience.

Revelation 14:12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.

Here we can see again that the people of God follow the commands of God with adding to or subtracting from the words of God.

Then how can we find out the true words or the commands of God among so many different teachings of the different people? The bible teaches us that we must go to Zion in the last days to learn the true words of God.

Micah 4:1 In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as the highest of the mountains; it will be exalted above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. 2 Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the temple of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

In this prophecy, God teaches us that we must go to Zion and Jerusalem for the law and the words of God in the last days, the time frame we are living in. Then why are the commands of God coming from Zion? What is Zion?

Isaiah 33:20 Look on Zion, the city of our festivals; your eyes will see Jerusalem, a peaceful abode, a tent that will not be moved; its stakes will never be pulled up, nor any of its ropes broken. 21 There the Lord will be our Mighty One. It will be like a place of broad rivers and streams. No galley with oars will ride them, no mighty ship will sail them. 22 For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; it is he who will save us.

In the Book of Psalm 132, God teaches that Zion is the dwelling of God chosen by God to be his dwelling forevermore. Since God is in Zion, we can be taught by God when we go to Zion. And in Zion, we can see Jerusalem, the source of the words of God in the last days.

Then what is Zion? It is the place chosen by God to keep the festivals of God such as Sabbath, Passover, Feast of Weeks, and Tabernacles, etc.. When we go to Zion, we can meet God and receive the true teachings God grants to his people. Now, come to Zion and obey the commands of God by keeping the festivals of God. And then we can receive abundant blessings God allows through the festivals.

  • Zion the Dwelling of God

    Zion the Dwelling of God

    The Dwelling Of God

To meet someone the very first thing that we have to know is the place he resides in. We can visit there and we can have a chance to meet him. It is same with God. For God’s people to meet God we have to know the dwelling of God. By visiting there, we can meet God and be blessed by God.

God’s Dwelling in the Old Testament

    Moses Tabernacle

Then what is the dwelling of God? In the Old Testament, the dwelling of God was the temple. God said that He would come to his people to the place where He chose to cause his name to be honored.

Exodus 20:24  “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you.

    Solomon Temple

This was fulfilled by the sanctuary in the time of Moses and the temple in the time of Solomon. When Solomon built temple to honor the name of God, it became the dwelling of God since then. God put His Spirit in it and He dwelled among his people.

1 King 8:6 The priests then brought the ark of the Lord’s covenant to its place in the inner sanctuary of the temple, the Most Holy Place, and put it beneath the wings of the cherubim. 7 The cherubim spread their wings over the place of the ark and overshadowed the ark and its carrying poles. 8 These poles were so long that their ends could be seen from the Holy Place in front of the inner sanctuary, but not from outside the Holy Place; and they are still there today. 9 There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets that Moses had placed in it at Horeb, where the Lord made a covenant with the Israelites after they came out of Egypt. 10 When the priests withdrew from the Holy Place, the cloud filled the temple of the Lord. 11 And the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled his temple. 12 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud; 13 I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.”

The Reality of God’s Dwelling in the New Testament

    Zion the Dwelling of God

The bible says that the Old Testament was given as copy and shadow for the reality which was to be fulfilled in the New Testament by Christ. Then what is the reality of the temple that we should come to meet God?

Prophets of the bible teaches that Zion is the dwelling of God. And God would put his name in Zion that He would be honored by His people.

Isaiah 18:7 At that time gifts will be brought to the Lord Almighty from a people tall and smooth-skinned, from a people feared far and wide, an aggressive nation of strange speech, whose land is divided by rivers—the gifts will be brought to Mount Zion, the place of the Name of the Lord Almighty.

And the bible teaches that Zion is the dwelling of God where we must go to meet God and be blessed by God.

Psalm 132:13 For the Lord has chosen Zion, he has desired it for his dwelling, saying, 14 “This is my resting place for ever and ever; here I will sit enthroned, for I have desired it. 15 I will bless her with abundant provisions; her poor I will satisfy with food. 16 I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her faithful people will ever sing for joy.

Blessing for God’s People Who Dwell in Zion

Also, the bible teaches that as God’s people we must come to Zion the dwelling of God for the blessings of eternal life.

Isaiah 51:16 I have put my words in your mouth and covered you with the shadow of my hand—I who set the heavens in place, who laid the foundations of the earth, and who say to Zion, ‘You are my people.’

The people who are in Zion is the people of God and they can receive the blessings of eternal life and salvation. (Psalm 133:3) Therefore, through the prophecies of the bible we can see that Zion is the dwelling of God and we must come to Zion to meet God.

    The True Zion

Zion the City of God’s Festivals

Then what is the Zion? We have to ask the way to Zion as Jeremiah says:

Jeremiah 50:5 They will ask the way to Zion and turn their faces toward it. They will come and bind themselves to the Lord in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.

Now let us find out where Zion is through the prophecies of the bible. According to the bible, Zion is the place where God’s people gather together to keep the festivals of God. It is the house of God where God proclaims feasts for his people.

Isaiah 33:20 Look on Zion, the city of our festivals

And through the festivals, God grants the blessings of the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. (Isaiah 33:24) In this sense, Zion is the church today where God’s people gather to keep the festivals of God. But the problem arises when we think about the festivals of God.

    The Festivals of God

Are all the churchs Zion? The answer is in this question: “Do they keep the festivals of God?” Since Zion is the city of God’s festivals, the people in Zion must keep the festivals of God. Today many churches claim that they keep the festivals of God such as Sunday worship, Christmas, Thanks-giving Day, etc..

If they are the festivals of God, then they are in Zion and they can be blessed by God. However, the problem is that the festivals they claim to keep as festivals of God are actually not festivals of God. Rather they are the traditions originated from man and they are only man’s customs.

The true festivals of God are recorded all throughout the bible, especially in Leviticus 23. In Leviticus, God proclaims the festivals that the people of God must keep as everlasting covenant. First, there is the Sabbath as weekly festival. And there are seven festivals of three times as annual festivals. They are the Passover, the Feast of the Unleavened Bread, the Firstfruits, the Feast of Weeks, the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, the Feast of Tabernacles. And these are the festivals of God we have to keep.

    Conclusion

Today, there is only one church which keeps the festivals of God according to all the laws and regulations of the new covenant following the teachings of Jesus and disciples: World Mission Society Church of God, or WMSCOG in short. The Church of God is Zion the dwelling of God. Come to Zion and keep the festivals of God. Then you can meet God and be blessed by God.

  • [WMSCOG] Noah’s Ark And Zion

God already planned his salvation work from the beginning and let his plan known through the bible so that people can follow his plan to receive salvation. One of the teachings God gave us to reveal the last days is through the histories of the past. Specifically, one historical event is very important to know the salvation work of God. Jesus compares the last days to the time of Noah:

Noah’s Ark from The Walters Art Museum

Matthew 24:36  36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

In the time of Noah people became wicked and all the thoughts in man’s mind were evil. Because of their wickedness God punished them with flood destroying all the living things on the earth except for Noah and his family including all the animals in the ark built by Noah. Noah could be saved because he was considered as righteous and blameless among the wicked people of the world of his time. Then what is the relationship between the time of Noah and the last days? What did Jesus want to teach us?

This story contains several messages from God. First, Noah’s time was the time of disasters destroying all the living things of the earth. Second, even though all the people and animals of the earth perished because of the punishment of God, Noah and all the people and living things in the ark could be saved by the grace of God. Then what is the meaning of this story and how is it related to the last days? According to the bible there would be disasters destroying all the living things on this earth with fire.

2 Peter 3:5  But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s word the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. 6 By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed….But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare. 11 Sinceeverything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? ……That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

Apostle Peter is also comparing the time of Noah with the last days. In Noah’s time all the things was destroyed by water, but in the last days, all the things will be destroyed by fire. But just as all the living things in the ark could be saved by the grace of God, there would be those who would receive salvation from the disasters in the last days too. Peter describes them as the ones who will enter into the new heaven and the new earth, in other words, the kingdom of heaven. Then who are those who will enter into the kingdom of heaven. For the protection from the disasters, God commanded Noah to build an ark of huge size and God gathered Noah and his family and all the animals living on this earth.

In the same way, to give protection from the disasters in the last days, God prepared a spiritual ark where God’s people would be able to receive protection from the disasters. Then what is the spiritual ark God prepared in the last days?

Jeremiah 4:5   “Announce in Judah and proclaim in Jerusalem and say: ‘Sound the trumpet throughout the land!’ Cry aloud and say: ‘Gather together! Let us flee to the fortified cities!’ 6 Raise the signal to go to Zion! Flee for safety without delay! For I am bringing disaster from the north, even terrible destruction.”

The spiritual ark of God is Zion which God established to give protection from the disasters. In the time of Noah all the animals of the earth gathered in the ark. Then what does the animals represent? Peter saw in his vision a sheet coming down from heaven containing all the unclean animals. And a voice from heaven told Peter to kill and eat the animals. What is the meaning of the vision and who do the animals represent?

Acts 11:7   7 Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’ 8 “I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’ 9 “The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.’ 10 This happened three times, and then it was all pulled up to heaven again…..18 When they heard this, they had no further objections and praised God, saying, “So then, even to Gentiles God has granted repentance that leads to life.”

Then what are the impure and unclean animals purified by God’s words? There were the Gentiles who were considered impure and unclean once, but who could be purified and cleansed with the words of God. So the animals actually represents peoples of the world who could receive salvation. Then through this we can see all God’s people who are chosen by God to be saved must gather together in Zion, the spiritual ark in the last days. We can confirm this through the book of Revelation. John describes God’s people who are considered as righteous and blameless by God gather together in Zion in the last days.

Revelation 14:1   14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. ….. 4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. 5 No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

In the last days the ark of God is Zion and all the people who have the name of God are standing on Mount Zion. Then who would have the name of God on their forehead? They are those who belongs to God and that is why God is writing his name on them to show that they belong to God. According to the bible the reason they could be chosen is because they did not defile themselves and they are considered as blameless and righteous. 2000 years ago, Jesus was teaching God’s people about the way of salvation. The disaster will come just as God has already planned, but in the plan of God there is a secret place he has prepared for his people, Zion. Let us gather together in Zion. Even though Zion was once in ruin because of the work of Satan, but Christ Ahnsahnghong established Zion for the second time as spiritual King David as dwelling place for him and his people.

Flee to Zion! Do not delay! Let us listen to the voice of God and obey his commands.
